CHORUS CC-1
Features
TheCoolCat Chorus gives youall of the classic chorussounds, andmore-with more control than you’ve hadbefore.
CONTROLS:
DEPTH: Controlsthe intensityof theChorus, from minimum (fullycounter-clockwise) to maximum (fullyclockwise). The Depthcontrolinteractswith theSpeedcontrolin thisfashion: slower speed settingscan takehigherdepth settings. As Speed increases,Depth mayneedtobe reduced.
Higher settings maycause light-headedness!
SPEED: Controls the speed of the Chorus, from minimum (fullycounter-clockwise) to maximum (fully clockwise). This control willhaveno effectunless the Depthcontrolis sethigher than minimum (off).
MIX/EQ: These controlsare stacked, the innercontroladjusts mixand the outer control adjusts chorus eq.(These controlshave no effect unlessthe pedal ison.) Turning the Eqknobcan be tricky, here’s howto do it:turnbothknobs at thesametimeuntil theEq iswhere youwant it, then adjustthe Mixcontrol.
When theMix control isfullycounter-clockwise, thereisno chorus effect– it’s100% dry. When theMix control isset to

maximum, all you’ll hear is theeffected signal–100% wet. By setting this control in-betweenminimumand maximum you can choosethe perfect drytowetratio. A normal setting wouldbe at 12:00 (50% dry, 50% wet).Lowering theMix control makes theChorusmoresubtle;raising theMix takes thesoundtowards vibrato.
TheEq control adjusts to tone ofthe chorusonly, leaving your drysignalunaffected. Think ofitas a highfrequencyroll-off for thewetsignal. If theChorus soundstoo “sparkle-y”, tryturning down theEq control.
BYPASS: Thetruebypassfootswitch engages anddisengages thepedal.

ForaClassicChorus sound, simplyset allcontrols to 12:00. This maycause complaints from your band,as theClassicChorus sound has beenusedto extremes.Let’sbea bit more creative:
“Sky BlueSky” (Great forrhythm players, so subtlethe band mightlet youleave it on allnight…) Depth–9:30 Speed – 10:30 Mix/Eq – 9:30/ Min. (7:00)
“Spin-Cycle”
Depth–9:00, mayneedto be reduced athighest speed setting Speed – 4:30 to Maximum (5:00) Mix/Eq – 12:00/ Wide open (Bonus: change theMix setting to maximum andyou get Vibrato, otherwiseknown as the difference between a trombone and a lawnmower.)

Features

CONTROLS:
GAIN: Sets theamount ofoverdrive appliedtothe signal, counter-clockwise is minimum overdrive, turnclockwise to increaseoverdrive. Asoverdriveincreases, lowfrequencieswill“bloom”slightly.
TREBLE / BASS:Adjusts thetoneof the overdrive sound. Thetwo controlsare stacked;the inner control is for Treble, the outerfor Bass.Thesecontrols cut and boost – theyare flat (noeffect)at 12 o’clock. Tuning theTreblecontrolcounterclockwisefrom12:00 cuts the treble, advancingthe Treble control beyond 12:00booststhe Treble. The Bass control operates inthe same fashion. Turning theBassknobcan be tricky, here’s how to do it: turnboth knobs at the same timeuntil theBassiswhere youwant it, then adjustthe Treble control.Don’t besurprised if youleave thesecontrols setnearlyflat.
VOLUME: This control adjusts overall volume when the Transparent Overdrive isturned on.Usually, the Volume control is

There islotsof volume boost available, so you canget even lowgain settingsloudenough.Withhigh gain settings, theVolume control adds anotherdimension of gain that will generate even more overdrive.Becareful – thispedal goes way beyondeleven!
BYPASS: Thetruebypassfootswitch engages anddisengages thepedal. HINT:Don’t forget to trysettingyour guitar’svolume andtonecontrols lowerthantheir maximum: theTransparent Overdrive won’t “collapse” on you likeother pedals.
