INSTRUCTIONS
D-6 Instructions
TO BEGIN:
• Install 9-Volt battery (included). If using Danelectro’s
“Zero Hum” adapter (Recommended) instead of a battery,
connect this to the “9V DC” jack on the back of the D-6.
• Connect an instrument cable from your guitar to the
“Input” jack. Connect a second cable from the “Output”
jack of the D-6 to the input jack of your amplifier.
CONTROL FUNCTIONS:
DEPTH: Adjusts how far the flanger moves, from low
frequency to high. Low settings of this control will
have a smaller sweep—be more subtle and will allow
higher speed settings. High settings of this control
will give a very large sweep from the lowest to the
highest frequencies.
SPEED: Adjusts the speed of the flanger. This control
interacts with the Width control—lower Speed
settings will allow higher Width settings. Don’t be
afraid to try both controls all the way up.
REGEN: For “regeneration.” This control causes the
flanger to feedback into itself, adding a synth-like
resonance to the sound. This resonance will change
frequency based on the settings of the Width and
Speed controls. High settings will cause oscillation—
a distinct note at the flange frequency (which you
may want)—but beware! The oscillation can get very
loud! Keep your amplifier turned down until you
understand what this control can do!
