Turn On

Turn on your computer and wait for
start-up to complete.
Connect

• Connect the USB connector to the
So Ready SuperSpeed hard disk drive and
your computer.
• Connect the A/C power adapter to wall outlet
and your So Ready hard disk drive.

Install
Follow any on-screen instructions to complete the
hardware installation of your new hard disk drive.
Note: This USB 3.0 device can be plugged into a
USB 2.0 host provided you use the USB 3.0 Cable
supplied, however, the USB 3.0 device will only
obtain USB 2.0 speed while connected to a USB
2.0 host. Once USB 3.0 device is plugged back
into a USB 3.0 host your speeds will return to
SuperSpeed USB ranges. (Remember performance may vary based on operating system or
environment)

how to disconnect:
Disconnect your Desktop HDD
Windows:
1. From your desktop, click on the green arrow inside
the system tray.
2. Click on the “Safely remove USB Mass Storage
Device” option.
3. When the “Safe to Remove Hardware” information
appears on your desktop, your drive can be safely
removed from the system.
Important
Do not remove the So Ready SuperSpeed hard
drive while the Status LED is Flashing or you may
lose and/or corrupt your valuable data.
