In the loudspeaker arena, a battle is raging. On the one hand, design-oriented
brands hope that you will be so dazzled by a shiny, sexy exterior that you forgive the
mediocre sound on offer. Then there are performance-oriented brands that expect you to
clutter your living space with large boxes as the price of admission for a thrilling, realistic
viewing and listening experience.
Meanwhile, in a brave new world of ultra-flat, wall-mounted TV screens, most of us dream
of invisible audio systems that present music and movies out of thin air, as if by magic.
Unfortunately, when we awake from that impossible dream, hard choices have to be made

organic lines of the diecast aluminium MOTIF enclosure is a
perfect example. The distinctive styling and curved forms are
much more than artistic whims. They also provide enhanced
structural integrity, reduced vibration and no parallel surfaces,
all key elements in the pure, musical tone of these masterful
loudspeakers.
MOTIF reaps the full benefits of DALI's long-standing
collaboration with fresh, creative Scandinavian design talent,
as well as decades of experience at the cutting edge of technological innovation. DALI MOTIF combines advanced driver and
materials technologies developed for the acclaimed DALI IKON
and MENTOR series with groundbreaking metal body work
pioneered for the popular DALI PHANTOM series.
The solid diecast aluminium casing in black or white high
gloss lacquer features stylish chrome trim and a protective
front grille held firmly in place by 20 neodymium magnets for a
smooth, seamless whole.
The resulting wall-mount sculpture is worthy of a place in any
contemporary interior.
With the specially developed integral wall bracket, DALI MOTIF

appears to float freely against the wall. The speaker can be
positioned vertically or horizontally to suit your personal taste
and you even have the option of concealing wiring behind the
wall.
Partnered with a flatscreen TV or as the central component in
a multi-room sound system, in stereo or surround, for music
or movies, the versatile DALI MOTIF is the stylish answer to all
your home entertainment needs.
Low-Loss Drivers | The dual 4.5” bass/mid drivers employ low-mass
paper cones with wood fibre reinforcement. This unique compound,
originally developed for our legendary top of the line EUPHONIA
Series, ensures lightning-fast response, transforming the tiniest
electrical signal to subtle musical detail.
Oversized Soft Dome Tweeter | The 28 mm/1.1” soft dome tweeter
incorporates a powerful neodymium magnet system with integrated heat sink. Built on a 28 mm voice coil, the drive unit provides
enhanced power handling, both continuously and instantaneously, as
well as lower power compression.

Diecast Aluminium Cabinet | The metal body of the DALI MOTIF
offers far greater tensile strength than conventional fibreboard or
plastic. The high mass absorbs vibration and the non-parallel surfaces
eliminate standing waves for outstanding sonic purity.
Neodymium Magnet System | For a sculptural organic form with
seamless integration of the MOTIF housing and the protective front
grille, the grille is attached to the loudspeaker using an array of 20
neodymium magnets.

The stylish black fabric front grille attaches seamlessly to the loudspeaker with a concealed array
of 20 neodymium magnets. The magnetic assembly
system ensures perfect fit and finish for the protective front. This simple, smart solution also allows
fast, easy removal or mounting of the front grille.
Discretion and Style
When easily and safely mounted on the exclusive
DALI MOTIF wall bracket, the speaker extends a
mere 11.5 cm (4,6") out from the wall. For ultimate safety, the release switch that detaches the
speaker from the wall bracket can be conveniently
locked in place with an Allen key (included).
Integrity and Strength
Unlike conventional speaker cabinets DALI
MOTIF's streamlined solid diecast aluminium
shell utilizes a double baffle construction with
a soft, anti-resonant rubber coating and integral internal bracing for extreme structural
integrity and strength.

Wall Bracket | DALI MOTIF incorporates a unique proprietary wall
bracket design (patent pending) that creates a firm, lasting connection for secure, unobtrusive wall mounting. The bracket is compatible
with vertical or horizontal mounting of the DALI MOTIF.
Click’n Connect | The wall bracket incorporates gold-plated 4 mm
Click'n Connect pins for foolproof connectivity with correct signal
polarity every time. This proprietary connector ensures optimal
signal flow between amplifier and loudspeaker.
