THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING DALI
The Dali A-Series component systems have been developed to reproduce music as accurately and lifelike as possible when installed correctly in a car. It is important that you follow the instructions in this manual in order to take full advantage of the systems.
CONTENTS
The Dali A-Series component systems contain the following parts:
· 2 pcs of woofers (A-4CSW, A-5CSW or A-6CSW).
· 8 pcs of screws for mounting A-4CSW/ A-5CSW or
12 pcs of screws for mounting A-6CSW.
· 2 pcs of protection grilles for the woofers.
· 8 pcs of fastening paste for securing the grilles.
· 2 pcs of tweeters, including mounting hardware for surface mounting as well as
flush mounting.
· 4 pcs of screws for mounting the tweeters.
· 2 pcs of crossover networks (A-4CSX, A-5CSX or A-6CSX).
· 1 pc of loudspeaker cables with connectors at both ends.
· 1 pc of A-Series owners manual.
TECHNOLOGY
The Dali A-Series component systems have been developed with the purpose of reproducing sound in as pure and musical a manner as possible.
All A-Series component speakers are two-way systems, based on parts of the highest quality. For example, we use a 25 mm textile dome tweeter and a woofer with die cast frame and coated paper cone.
And precisely the superior quality of the drivers is what has permitted us to employ far fewer components in the crossover networks. This results in a far more direct signal path from the amplifier output to the speaker units, in turn resulting in a more dynamic and immediate reproduction.
The desire to design a crossover network that affects the sound as little as possible also explains why the Dali A-Series loudspeaker systems do not have a built-in protection network.
In order to facilitate the adjustment of sound to the acoustic properties of many different cars, the Dali A-series systems offer midrange as well as treble adjusting. In order to avoid any degradation of the sound quality, these adjustments have been designed in a way that ensures that the electrical sound information never has to pass to reach the loudspeaker units.
The Dali A-Series component speakers have been developed to reproduce a wide frequency range, but should you wish a deeper and more full-bodied bass sound, the systems can easily and favorably be combined with one or more of Dalis own A-Series subwoofers.

PLACEMENT
A Dali component system consists of three primary parts: a tweeter, a woofer (midrange) and a crossover network. Be sure to plan carefully where to position each component. The woofer and tweeter should be placed as close together as possible, and at the same level, resulting in the distance from the ear to the woofer and tweeter respectively being identical.
Make certain that the sound can move directly and unimpeded from the woofer and the tweeter to the ear.
Examine whether there is enough room where the components are to be installed. Pay attention to possible moving parts inside a car door or in the instrument panel, as the components may impede their free movement.
Furthermore, it is important that none of the individual parts of the component kits are located in positions where they can become wet. In order to make certain that the cables do not transfer humidity or fluid to the components, it is a good precaution to let the cables start by hanging down in a drip loop under each component.
