Depending on the equipment version
and your vehicle model, the following

units. Therefore, it is possible that some

Operating safety
Accident hazard G
Operate the car radio in such a way that
full control of the vehicle is maintained, in
all traffic situations.
Please remember that even at a speed of
only 30 mp/h (approx. 50 km/h), your
vehicle covers a distance of 50 feet
(approx. 14 meters) each second.
Tampering with electronic components or
systems (e.g. the radio or CD changer*)
and associated software may impair their
ability to function. Due to the networking
of the vehicle electronics, this may also
affect systems that have not been tampered with directly.
Electronic faults may significantly endanger the operating safety of your vehicle.

Always have all servicing carried out by a
qualified specialist garage.
The manufacturer recommends your authorized Sprinter Dealer, as he has the
necessary expertise and tools required
for service purposes.
In particular for operations critical to
safety and operations on systems critical

Your car radio is equipped with an
acoustic feedback signal. Completion
of the functions initiated by the user

(e.g. storing a radio station) is indicated by a signal tone.

Turn the key in the steering lock to
position 1 or 2.
The car radio switches on if it was
last switched off by withdrawing the
key.

was switched off. The operating

Anti-theft device
Your car radio is equipped with an antitheft device. If the car radio is disconnected from the power supply, it is theftprotected upon reconnection.
In order to be able to use the radio, you
must enter the code printed on your radio code card.

Only load CDs into the Sound 30 and the
CD-changer* when the vehicle is at a
standstill. If attempted while driving, the
distraction from the traffic situation leads
to increased danger of accidents.

Injury hazard G
The Sound 30 and the CD-changer* are
class 1 laser products. Invisible laser radiation will cause a hazard if the housing is
opened or damaged.
Do not open the housing. Sound 30 and

General information
The Sound 30 and the CD-changer* may
not be able to play copy-protected audio
CDs.
CDs should be handled with care in order to prevent malfunction when playing. Avoid leaving fingerprints and dust
on the CDs. You must not write on or attach stickers to CDs.
Clean CDs occasionally with a commercially available cleaning cloth. Do not
use solvents, anti-static spray, etc. for
cleaning purposes and replace the CDs
in the CD box, after use. Protect the CDs
from heat and direct sunlight.

External audio source
An external audio source can be connected to all car radios except for those
types listed above.
This includes for example a TV or video
unit or a portable CD player. The device
to be connected must have an appropriate audio output.
The audio input of the CD changer connector on the car radio is used for connecting an external audio source. This
means that it is not possible to connect
the CD changer and an external audio
source at the same time.

The audio input setting will vary depending on which device is connected to it.
Possible settings:
EXT OFF
The audio input is switched off.
EXT AUX or EXT TV
The audio input is set for operation
with an external audio source.
EXT CDC
The audio input is set for CD changer
mode.

Sécurité du fonctionnement

Utilisez l'autoradio de façon à rester maître de votre véhicule en toute circonstance.
N'oubliez pas que votre véhicule parcourt
une distance de 14 m à la seconde à une
vitesse de 50 km/h.
Toute manipulation inadéquate des composants ou systèmes électroniques (par
ex. autoradio ou changeur de CD*) et de
leur logiciel peut gêner/interrompre le
fonctionnement de l’appareil. En raison
de l'interdépendance des systèmes électroniques, il est possible que des systèmes cessent de fonctionner alors qu'ils
n'ont pas été modifiés.
Des dysfonctionnements des systèmes
électroniques peuvent également mettre
en péril la sécurité même de votre véhicule.
Risque d'accident G
Ne faites exécuter l'entretien que par du
personnel qualifié.
Le constructeur vous conseille le concessionnaire Sprinter agréé car il dispose du
personnel qualifié et des outils adaptés à
votre appareil.
Les qualifications d’un personnel spécialisé sont surtout indispensables en ce qui
concerne les opérations effectuées sur
les composants touchant à la sécurité de
l’appareil.

Le Sound 30 et le Changeur de CD* sont
des produits laser de classe 1. À l'ouverture du boîtier, en cas d'absence ou d'endommagement du boîtier, le
rayonnement laser peut être dangereux
pour la santé.
N'ouvrez pas le boîtier. Le Sound 30 et le
Changeur de CD* ne contiennent aucun
composant nécessitant un entretien.
Pour des raisons de sécurité, ne faites effectuer les éventuels travaux d'entretien
que par le personnel du service aprèsvente.
Informations générales
Le Sound 30 refuse parfois de lire des
CD audio dotés d'une protection anti-piratage.
Nous vous recommandons de manipuler
le CD avec précaution pour éviter tout
problème lors de la lecture. Évitez les
empreintes de doigts et la poussière sur
les CD. N'inscrivez et ne collez rien sur
les CD.
Nettoyez les CD de temps à autre avec
un chiffon propre. N'utilisez pas de solvant, de spray antistatique, etc. pour le
nettoyage des CD. Après utilisation, replacez les CD dans leur boîtier. N’exposez pas le CD à la chaleur ou à la lumière
directe du soleil.
