System Overview
The 8 MP mini dome camera features an advanced 1/2.5-in.
Progressive-scan STARVIS™ imager with a 2.8 mm xed lens. The camera
oers True Wide Dynamic Range, a True Day/Night IR Cut lter, IP67
Ingress Protecon and operaon in extreme temperatures to deliver
superior images in all lighng and environmental condions. The camera
is a component of Dahua's innovave Enhanced Power over Ethernet
(ePoE) system that transmits power and data over long distances without
the need for repeaters or mulple switches.
Funcons
Enhanced Power over Ethernet (ePoE) Technology
Dahua's innovave ePoE technology oers a plug-and-play soluon to
transmit power and data over long distances via Ethernet or coaxial
cables, reducing installaon me and saving money. ePoE technology
is a viable, cost-eecve soluon for extending transmission distances
and for converng exisng, coax-based analog systems into IP systems.
For video security and surveillance installers, ePoE technology saves
me and money by reducing overall cabling requirements, allowing for
exisng coax cable to be used, and minimizing the number of peripheral
devices needed. For new installaons, ePoE oers the ability to design
long-distance applicaons without the need for addional repeaters.
Enhanced PoE encompasses pure IP systems where a single CAT 5 cable
can carry signals up to 800 m (2624 ), and IP/Analog hybrid systems
where the technology leverages exisng analog infrastructure to
transmit power and data up to 1000 m (3281 ) over RG59 coaxial cable.
Enhanced PoE is compable with three connecon modes operang
over the same network simultaneously: tradional IP networks,
long-distance ePoE networks and coaxial networks. ePoE technology
seamlessly integrates the latest high-denion IP cameras with a coaxial
infrastructure using the Ethernet over Coaxial (EoC) protocol to convert
between analog and IP power and data transmissions.
H.265
True Wide Dynamic Range (WDR)
The camera achieves vivid images, even in the most intense contrast
lighng condions, using industry-leading wide dynamic range (WDR)
technology. For applicaons with both bright and low lighng condions
that change quickly, True WDR (120 dB) opmizes both the bright and
dark areas of a scene at the same me to provide usable video.
Intelligent Video System (IVS)
IVS is a built-in video analyc algorithm that delivers intelligent funcons
to monitor a scene for Tripwire violaons, intrusion detecon, and
abandoned or missing objects. A camera with IVS quickly and accurately
responds to monitoring events in a specic area. In addion to scene
analycs, the camera supports face detecon to quickly capture a
face and upload the image to a server. The camera also oers tamper
detecon by recognizing a dramac scene change and generang a
warning message to inspect the camera.
Smart H.265+
Smart H.265+ is the opmized implementaon of the H.265 codec that
uses a scene-adapve encoding strategy, dynamic GOP, dynamic ROI,
exible mul-frame reference structure and intelligent noise reducon to
deliver high-quality video without straining the network. Smart H.265+
technology reduces bit rate and storage requirements by up to 70%
when compared to standard H.265 video compression.
Environmental
Dahua cameras operate in extreme temperature environments, rated
for use in temperatures from –30° C to +60° C (–22° F to +140° F) with
95% humidity. The camera complies with the IK10 impact rang and is
cered to rigorous dust and immersion tests (IP67), making the camera
the choice for installaon in even the most unforgiving environments.

1. The DORI distance is a measure of the general proximity for a specic classicaon to help pinpoint the
right camera for your needs. The DORI distance is calculated based on sensor specicaons and lab test
results according to EN 62676-4 , the standard that denes the criteria for the Detect, Observe, Recognize
and Idenfy classicaons.
2. Frame rate when the Main Stream is set to maximum resoluon. If the Main Stream resoluon is set to
1080p or lower, then Sub Stream 1 is capable of D1/1080p at 30 fps and Sub Stream 2 is capable of 1080p
at 30 fps.
