Introduction

This unit is a digital multi-system video converter that converts video signals from
NTSC, PAL, or SECAM to NTSC or PAL. It is suitable for home applications.

Precautions

1. Do not expose this product to direct sunlight.

2. Keep the unit away from radiator, heat sources and magnetic field.

3. Do not place it in very dusty or humid locations.

4. Use this unit in a horizontal position only.

5. Do not put heavy objects on top of the converter.

6. Put the unit in an open space that has good ventilation.

7. If the unit is acting abnormally keep the unit away from TV or other electronic
equipment.

8. Unplug the unit from the power supply when it is not to be used for a long period
of time.

Operation controls and functions

Front Panel

1. AUTO indicator- This indicator will light when in Auto detecting mode.

2. PAL indicator- This indicator will light when input signal is PAL.

3. SECAM indicator- This indicator will light when input signal is SECAM.

4. NTSC 3.58 indicator- This indicator will light when input signal is N3.

5. NTSC 4.43 indicator-This indicator will light when input signal is N4.

Rear Panel

1. DC Power supply 15 V input- This is the power supply input port. It is to be
used with the power pack supplied.

2. Video Input- This is the video input port. Connect your input device to the video
input port using a composite RCA connector cable.

3. Input signal detecting mode switch- Auto represents automatic detecting mode.
M represents manual-detecting mode.

4. Input system select switch- When in M-mode, set the switch to match the actual
input signal type. (PAL, SECAM, NTSC 3.58, NTSC 4.43).

5. Video output- This is the video output port. Connect your output device to the
video output port using a composite RCA connector cable.

6. Output system select switch- Set the switch to the type of signal you wish to
output. You may select either PAL or NTSC.

Connection and Installation

The AC adaptor power unit should not be plugged into a wall outlet until all connections
are complete.

- Using your connector cable connect the output (Number 5 on the rear panel) to your
output device (NTSC or PAL Video Recorder or TV).

- Using your connector cable connect your input (Number 2 on the rear panel) to the
input device (Video cassette recorder either- PAL, NTSC or SECAM, satellite
receiver or a camcorder).

- Choose either Auto or Manual as your input detecting mode switch. When in M-mode
(manual), set the switch to match the actual input signal type. (PAL, SECAM, NTSC

3.58, NTSC 4.43).

Once all connections are complete please connect the power supply provided to the
power socket (number 7 on rear panel).
