IDENTIFYING THE CORRECT VOLTAGE AND POLARITY
SETTINGS FOR THE CONNECT EQUIPMENT AND
ADJUSTING TH E PRODUCT ACCORDINGLY IS THE USER’S
RESPONSIBIL ITY.

Failure to adjust the adapter set tings to match the
requireme nts of the connected device c an result in d amage to
the device.

1. Identify the correct plug tip that ts in the device you wish

to power.

2. Identify the polari ty required for the device you are

connecting. The polarity will typically be identied in
either the user’s manual or on the input specications on

the device itself (see ‘Polarity Mark ings’ section). Flip the

switch on the body of the adaptr to match the polarity
symbol on the device itself. If the device is not polarized,
either set ting can be used. If the device does not have
a polarity specication, contact the manufacturer of the

device and ask them. Using an incorrec t polarit y can
damage the device.

3. Set the voltage switch to the required voltage for the device

you are conne cting. The voltage required will typically
be identied in either the user’s manual or on the inpu t
specications on the device itself. If you cannot determine
the proper voltage, contact the manufacturer of th e device

and ask them. Using an incorrect volt age can dam age
the device.

4. Plug the adapter cord into the d evice then pl ug the

CyberPower Universal DC to DC adapter into the 12V DC

outlet or cig arette lig hter outlet in yo ur vehicle. If t he device

does not function, unplug the adapter p ower cord from the

outlet imme diately. Check to ma ke sure the voltage and

polarit y settings being used are corre ct.

PolAR Ity MAR kINGs

When looking for polarity markings on the device you wish to
power with the CyberPower Universal DC to DC adapter, they
will typically be identied as such:

Depending on the device, the orientation of the positive and
negative poles in the depiction may be rever sed but, if the
device requires positive polarity, the ‘–’ symbol will be on the
side with the ‘C’ shaped arc. If negative polarity is required,
the ‘+‘ symbol will be on the side with the ‘C’ shaped arc.

CyberPower warrants the Universal Power Adapters to be

free from defect in material or manufacturing for on e years.

If a defect results in product failure during its normal use,
CyberPower’s sole responsibility is to repair or replace (as
its sole option) the Universal Power Adapter. The foregoing

Limited Warra nty is the consumer’s sole and exclusive reme dy
and excludes any incidental or consequential dam ages. Some

States do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental
and consequential damages, so ce rtain parts of the above

limitation s or exclusions may not apply to you (the Consumer).

This limited warranty gives the Consumer specic legal rights
and the Consumer may have other rights, which vary from

State to State.
