1.1 USE RESTRICTIONS
WARNING: No Use by Children AGE 15 or Younger
This product is designed for adult use. The eyes of children are still developing and may be adversely affected by use of this product, and it may cause eye fatigue, eye damage, or loss of visual functions. In addition, this product may not be adjusted to fit a child’s head.
WARNING: Eye Disease/Eye Injury/Glaucoma
If you have been diagnosed with or are susceptible to eye disease, eye injury, or glaucoma, consult your doctor before use and do not use without your doctors approval. Use of this product by individuals with conditions such as glaucoma may cause conditions to worsen.
Caution: Heart Disease/High Blood Pressure
If you have a history of heart disease or high blood pressure, consult your doctor before use and do not use without your doctor’s approval. Use of this product allows the viewer to feel they are in the action, which may result in increased anxiety or heart injury. If during viewing any increased anxiety is experienced, stop using the product immediately and rest. If the symptoms persist after rest, consult your doctor.
Caution: Seizures
If you have a history of temporary spasms, unconsciousness, or epileptic seizures from light stimulation, consult your doctor before use and do not use without your doctors approval. Use of this product by such individuals may cause spasms, unconsciousness, or seizures, if you experience such symptoms during use, stop using the product immediately and consult your doctor.
1.2 HEALTH CONCERNS
Warning: Eye Fatigue/Eye Damage/Loss of Visual Functions
Misuse or overuse of this product may result in eye fatigue, eye damage, or loss of visual functions. Stop using if you feel tired or experience headaches or discomfort.
Caution: Sickness/Headache/Nausea
If during use you experience any of the following symptoms, stop using this product immediately and rest. These symptoms may indicate that you are misusing or overusing the product or that you should not use the product for health reasons. If the following symptoms persist after rest, consult your doctor
- sore eyes, eye fatigue, or double vision
- headache
- inability to focus on the screen
- nausea or motion sickness
- stiff or sore shoulders or neck After two hours continual use the product automatically turns off to prevent eye fatigue or eye damage.
Caution: Motion Sickness from Viewing Programmes
Some viewers may experience motion sickness, headache, or nausea from viewing movies or video programmes, especially those with intense action and movement. If you feel any of these symptoms, stop using the product immediately. To avoid personal injury to others, do not drive a car or motorcycle, nor do anything that requires concentration until the symptoms disappear.
Caution Motion Sickness from External Motion.
Do not use this product while subject to external motion - for example, as a passenger in a car. Use of this product under these conditions may cause motion sickness.
Caution: Accidents.

THE DEVICE
USE OF CONTROL UNIT

Before attempting to connect the headset it is important to make sure that the PC is switched off.

1. Connection
Connect the image output jack of the various machines to one of the various video inputs on the control box and the audio output to the audio input jack on the control box. Connect the supplied power adapter to the 12V DC input on the control box
(See connecting the device for further information)
2. Setting Up
On Screen Display
With the OSD (On Screen Display ) you can modify the settings and control the special features of the video board. The OSD uses a number of menus for making changes and turning the special features on or off. The configuration can be done via the OSD­keypad. To start the OSD press the “OSD” button on the keypad, after switching the power supply on. The OSD Main Menu will be displayed. To select an menu point, simply use the button “UP” or ”DOWN” to move the cursor to the menu point you want and then press the button “OSD”. To get back to the previous menu press the “CONFIRM” button. To select a function, simply use “OSD”-button to select the field. Use “UP” or “DOWN” to select a value for that field. With the “CONFIRM” button you can exit the current function.
3. Main Menu
The OSD always starts with the “Main Menu”-screen.

Input Select
In the “Input Select” menu the sources for the “Main Picture Channel” can be selected.
Input Select - Main Picture Channel For the “Main Picture Channel” every possible input source can be selected (VGA, DVI, S-Video, Composite Video).

Input Select - Scan Inputs
When “Scan inputs” is switched on the system is continuously monitoring all inputs for input signals. The “Main Picture Channel” will be switched to the input that is active at first.

Image Adjustments
In this section several adjustments of the image position and timing for the “Main Picture Channel” can be made.

When the “Auto Adjust” function is selected the system tries to adjust the image (clock, phase, bandwidth and position) automatically.

Color Adjustment
In this section the color of the picture can be optimized for the “Main Picture Channel”. This section is also only available when VGA is selected as “Main Picture Channel”

Color Adjustment – Brightness
The “Brightness” can be set from 0 (dark) to 100 (light) for the “Main Picture Channel”. The default value is 50.

Color Adjustment – Contrast
The contrast level for the “Main Picture Channel” is set here. The range of adjustment is 0 (very low contrast) to 100 (very high contrast). The default value is 50.

The color saturation level for the “Main Picture Channel” is set here. The range of adjustment is 0 (low color saturation) to 100 (high color saturation). The default value is 50.

Color Adjustment – Backlight
The backlight brightness for the “Main Picture Channel” is set here. The range of adjustment is 0 (bright backlight) to 100 (dark backlight). The default value is 25.

Color Adjustment - Auto Color Adjust
The “Auto Color Adjust” function automatically adjusts the colors for the “Main Picture Channel”.

Advanced Color Adjustment
The “Advanced Color Adjustment” comprises gamma, color space and the color temperature settings. The rates for the 3 fundamental colors can also be set within the “Advanced Color Adjustment”­menu. The “Advanced Color Adjustment” only affects the “Main Picture Channel”.

Color Adjustment – Advanced – Gamma
The gamma correction for the “Main Picture Channel” is set here. It can be turned of (default) or set from 1.8 (bright) to 2.6 (darker) in
0.2 steps.

This section is implemented to select the correct “Color Space” for the “Main Picture Channel” (RGB, YUV or YPbPr).

To adjust the “Color Temperature” 6 different values can be selected for the “Main Picture Channel” (4200K, 5000K, 5400K, 6500K, 7500K, 9300K). When the “Color Temperature” is set to “User” the color temperature is adjusted by the 3 fundamental colors.

The “Video Settings” are available when a video source is selected as “Main Picture Channel” (S-Video or Composite Video).
Video Settings – Motion Processing
The type of “Motion Processing” is defined here. When “Motion Processing” is set to 0 it is switched off. The default value is 3.

Scaling Adjustment – Scaling Mode
The “Scaling Mode” for the “Main Picture Channel” is set here. As default the “Main Picture Channel” is set to “Expand”. There are three more possible settings for the “Main Picture Channel”. The picture can be set to “Strech”, “Aspect” or “1:1”.

Scaling Adjustment – Picture Flip In this section the picture of the “Main Picture Channel” can be mirrored horizontal or vertical.

Scaling Adjustment – Zoom
In this section the “Zoom” for the picture of the “Main Picture Channel” is set. The level of adjustment is 0 to 302. The default value is 0 (no zoom).

Scaling Adjustment – Horizontal Pan
In this section the “Horizontal Pan” (position of the display detail) is set. The level of adjustment depends on the selected zoom level. The default “Horizontal Pan” is 0. When “Zoom” is set to 0 the position of the picture can not be changed here.

In this section the “Vertical Pan” (position of the display detail) is set. The level of adjustment depends on the selected zoom level. The default “Vertical Pan is 0. When “Zoom” is set to 0 the position of the picture can not be changed here.

System Settings
In this section some general settings for the OSD can be set.
System Settings – OSD Timeout
The “OSD Timeout” is set in this section. The default value for the timeout is 30 seconds. The level of adjustment is 0 to 60 seconds in 5 second steps. 0 seconds stands for an infinite value. The OSD won’t be switched of when 0 is selected here.

Connect the image output jack of the
System Settings – OSD Horizontal Pos.
In this section the “Horizontal Position” of the OSD is set. The level of adjustment is 0 (left margin) to 100 (right margin). The default value is 0 (centre of the Display).

System Settings – OSD Vertical Pos. In this section the vertical position of the OSD is set. The level of adjustment is 0 (upper margin) to 100 (bottom margin). The default value is 0 (centre of the Display).

In this section the level of transparency of the OSD is set. The level of adjustment is 0 (solid OSD) to 15 (clear OSD). The default value for the “OSD Blend” is 3.

System Settings – OSD Orientation
In this section the “OSD Orientation” can be modified. There are three different modes for the orientation of the OSD. It can be rotated by 90°, mirrored horizontal or mirrored vertical.

CONNECTION
TO PC OR
NOTEBOOK
Connect the Visette45 SXGA to your personal computer or notebook.
1. Connection Connect the cables from the Visette to the designated “Visette Left” and “Visette Right” connectors on the front side of the control box (see page 7.) Connect the monitor connection jack of the PC and the DVI-Analog connection jack of the control box using the DVI or RGB cable. For the best results the monitor setting should be set to 60Hz with an output signal of 1280x1024 (SXGA)
2. Setting Up
- Turn on electrical source according to manual, the input signal is selected automatically but can also be set manually via the menu
- Activate OSD by pressing the OSD button select the input selection icon by pressing the OSD button again
- Move selection bar up and down by pressing the up/down buttons and press OSD button to confirm choice.
- After completion of selection the OSD will be shown shortly before being turned off or press back to exit.
- For notebooks follow the instructions for external monitor output set-up

The table below provides an overview of the maintenance measures to be carried out. Some of them may be carried out by the operating personnel or authorized experts, some only by the service technician in the context of the maintenance contract agreed.

9.1 USE
Operate the product only with the supplied AC Power adaptor. If you use a different power adaptor it may cause a malfunction and invalidate your warranty. Should any liquid or solid object fall into the cabinet, unplug the product and have it checked by qualified personnel before attempting to operate it further.
Always turn the product off when you do not use it, Unplug the product from the mains if you are not going to use it for several days or more. To disconnect the cord, pull it out by the plug. Never pull the cord itself.
Do not overload mains, extension cords, or convenience receptacles beyond their capacity, since this can result in fire or electric shock. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer, as they may cause hazards.
Avoid using earphones at high volume. Hearing experts advise against continuous, loud, and extended play. If you experience a ringing in your ears, reduce volume or discontinue use.
Do not touch the AC power adapter or power supply with wet hands. If you fail to observe this, it may cause electric shock. Do not drop or give a mechanical shock to the product.
9.2 Installation
To prevent internal heat build-up, do not block the ventilation openings. Avoid operating the product at temperatures below 41F (5C) Do not subject the product to high temperature or direct sunlight. If you do not observe the above instructions, the product may become deformed and the screens may become impossible to align. Follow the instructions in checking the screen position in the manual, to be sure the screens are aligned. If you find the screens misaligned, have the product repaired at your local service centre.
Do not place the product in locations where it is wet, humid, dusty, smoky, or steamy. Do not use this product near or around water. It may cause fire or electric shock. Especially, do not use this product in the bathroom. If the product is transported directly from a cold room to a warm location, or if the room temperature has changed suddenly, the picture may be blurred or show poor colour. This is because moisture has condensed on the mirror or lenses inside. If this happens, let the moisture evaporate before using the product
Do not place the product on an unstable cart, stand, table or shelf. The product may fall causing serious injury to a child or an adult, and serious damage to the product. Do not allow anything to rest on or roll over the main lead, and do not place the product where the main lead is subject to wear or abuse.
9.3 Others
Unplug the product from the mains and refer servicing to qualified service personnel under the following conditions:
1) When the main lead or plug is damaged or frayed
2) If liquid has been spilled into the product
3) If the product has been exposed to rain or water
4) If the product has been subjected to excessive shock by being dropped, or the cabinet has been damaged.
If the product does not operate normally when following the operating instructions. Adjust only those controls that are specified in the operating instructions. Improper adjustment of other controls may result in damage and will often require extensive work by a qualified technician to restore the product to normal operation. When the product exhibits a distinct change in performance - this indicates a need for a service

10.1 DETAILS
Your Visette45 SXGA has been subjected to various tests prior to delivery. However, as is generally the case with mechanical appliances your Visette45 SXGA is subject to natural wear and tear. Please check at regular intervals whether all screws and connections of your Visette45 SXGA are intact, and have the service technician replace damaged com­ponents! Changes made to the appliance will result in loss of type approval.
10.2 TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Cybermind Netherlands warrants that Products distributed under its own brand names will be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of shipment to Customer (the Warranty Period”). Other Products delivered to Distributor under other brand names are not covered by this warranty and instead will be subject to the warranty or warranties granted by the Manufacturers. As its sole obligation Cybermind will, at its option, either repair or replace the defective Product. Before returning any Products to Cybermind Netherlands, Customer must obtain a return to manufacturer authorization number (RMA#) from Cybermind Netherlands.
Customer will be responsible for the costs of returning Products under a warranty claim and, if it is determined that a returned Product is not covered by this warranty, Customer will pay for the costs of inspecting, repairing (if necessary), and returning the Product to Cybermind Netherlands. This warranty does not cover any damage, defect, inoperability, or incorrect performance of a Product due to misuse abuse, accident, neglect or unauthorized alterations or repairs.
The above warranty by Cybermind Netherlands is made only to Customer and may not be passed on to any third party.
