PART 1 - GENERAL
1.1 WORK INCLUDED
1.2 SUBMITTALS
1.2.1 Product data: Submit manufacturer’s data indicating products provided.
1.2.2 Shop drawings: Submit indicating locations of required block outs, frame fabrication requirements, sizes, elevations, and other related items.
1.3 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING
1.3.1 Packing and shipping: Deliver work packaged for protection.
1.3.2 Acceptance at site: Inspect work upon delivery for damage; rejecting any damaged items.
1.3.3 Storage and protection: Store materials under cover, 4” off floor minimum, raised platforms, in vertical position with minimum ¼” space between doors. Avoid use of non­ vented plastic or canvas shelters creating humidity chambers. Immediately remove wet wrappers.

2.2 MATERIALS
2.2.1 Door Type: Service-Pro Traffic Doors
2.2.2 Traffic Type: Retail/Commercial, Personnel Traffic
2.2.3 Sizes: As indicated on drawings (door schedule)
2.2.4 Panels: Constructed of .063” anodized aluminum panel, with leading edge structurally formed for added strength. Jamb edge of panel reinforced with 3/8” plywood on both sides with formed cover of anodized aluminum.
2.2.5 Finishes: Choice of Natural Aluminum Finish, Wood Laminate (Architect to chose color from standard manufacturer’s Wilsonart, Formica, Nevamar, or Pionite), or Satin Brushed 16 Gauge Stainless Steel

2.2.6 Hardware: Hinges are double action Save-T style with hardened rollers, hinge covers and bottom pin system. Hinge options are galvanized or stainless steel. Bi-parting door panels 36” wide and smaller utilize café, gate style hinges.
2.2.6.1 Accessories: Optional galvanized or stainless steel 10” or 18” jamb guards.
2.2.7 Vision Window: Standard 9” x 14” clear vision panel held securely in place by a gasket­ style custom rubber extrusion; Standard 6” x 12” clear vision panel for bi-parting doors 36” or smaller.
2.2.7.1 Optional Window Sizes: 14” x 16”; 10” x 30”; 22” x 22”; 10” Round; 20” Round
2.2.7.2 Window Style: Clear acrylic; smoked/tinted (excluding round); mirrored (excluding round).
2.2.8 Panel Protection: Optional impact plates in stainless steel; galvanized steel; colored ABS; Optional black teardrop bumper; or Optional stainless steel or thermoplastic push plates.
2.2.8.1 Impact Plate Heights: 12”; 18”; 24”; 30”; 36”; 42”; 48”
PART 3 - EXECUTION
3.1 DOOR INSTALLATION
3.1.1 Verify traffic door frames are in accord with reviewed shop drawings.
3.1.2 Examine conditions and substrates under which products of this section are to be installed.
3.1.3 Submit written notification of unacceptable conditions or substrates.
3.1.4 Submit copy of installer’s report to Architect of record within 72 hours of report receipt.
3.2 PROCEEDING WITH CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY
3.2.1 Prior to correction of unacceptable conditions or substrates are prohibited.
3.2.2 Indicate installer’s acceptance of condition of product and substrates.
3.3. INSTALLATION
3.3.1 Steel tube frames: Installed in Metal Fabrication section.
3.3.2 Install in prepared openings in accord with reviewed shop drawings and manufacturer’s Installation instructions. Plumb and level units. Adjust for proper operation.
3.3.3 Clean surfaces in accord with manufacturer’s instructions just prior to Date of Substantial Completion.
