Traffic Doors
Curtronizer™ NSF Approved Strip Door
PART 1 – GENERAL
1.1 WORK INCLUDED
1.1.1 Provide material, equipment, services and labor to install the doors as shown on
the plans and specified herein.
1.1.2 See plans for portion of steel doorframe to be furnished by others.
1.2. SUBMITTALS
1.2.1 Shop Drawings: Submit sets indicating elevations, thickness and gauges,
fastenings, size, method and materials for weather-stripping and connections to
adjacent work.
1.2.2 Product Data: Curtron catalog and specification sheets.
1.3 DELIVERY STORAGE AND HANDLING
1.3.1 Please store Curtronizer™ strip doors in a safe, dry, interior storage area.
PART 2 – PRODUCTS

2.2. MATERIALS
2.2.1 Door Type: Curtronizer™ NSF Strip Door
2.2.2 Sizes: Fits openings up to 40” wide x 108” high.
2.2.3 Size of Strip Material: 6” wide x .060” thick; 8”wide x .080” thick.
2.2.4 Type of Material: Standard Clear Flat, USDA Low Temperature Reinforced Flat,
Extra Low Temperature Clear Flat: Architect to specify material based on application.
2.2.5 Temperature Rating of Material: Standard Clear Flat temperature rated 0
degrees F to +150 degrees F, USDA Low Temperature rated –20 degrees F to +140
degrees F, Extra-Low Temperature Flat temperature rated to –70 degrees F to +120
degrees F, and Welding and Opaque temperature rated 0 degrees F to +150 degrees F.
2.2.6 Hardware: 100% Food grade approved, non-corrosive, high-impact
polypropylene mounting bar; 40” in length. Mounting screws and proper drill bit are
provided.
2.2.7 Overlap: 33% overlap is used for 6” wide strips and 8” wide strips
2.2.8 All strips are pre-punched on 2” centers to mount to hardware.
2.3. FABRICATION
2.3.1 Fabricate doors to fit in accordance with field measurements and
manufacturer’s recommendations.
2.3.2 Ship doors according to manufacturer’s standard procedure. Doors ship rolled in
boxes. Doors are marked with corresponding order numbers and model types.
PART 3 – EXECUTION
3.1 DOOR INSTALLATION
3.1.1 Install hardware and doors in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations.
Hang doors plumb and true to fit with proper clearances.
3.1.2 Leave doors without marks or scratches.
