TMI Save-T Mega-Pro Flexible PVC Impact Door
PART 1 - GENERAL
1.1 WORK RELATED
1.1.2 Related sections: Include appropriate section below indicating proper frame/jamb details.
Recommended jamb is ¼” thick and 6” wide minimum steel frame .
1.2 SUBMITTALS
1.2.1 Product Data: Submit manufacturer’s data indicating products provided.
1.2.2 Shop Drawings: Show fabrication and installation details; include door elevations, head,
jamb, and meeting stile details including full or partial gaskets.
1.3 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
1.3.1 Store products in manufacturer's unopened packaging until ready for installation.
1.3.2 Acceptance at sight: Inspect work upon delivery for damage; rejecting any damaged
items.
1.4 WARRANTY
1.4.1 Manufacturer's standard one-year warranty that products are free of defects in material
and workmanship, guaranteeing to replace (exclusive of freight and labor) parts proven
defective within one year after date of shipment to purchaser.

2.1.2 Substitutions: Not permitted.
2.2 MATERIALS
2.2.1 Door Type: Mega-Pro Flexible PVC Traffic Doors:
2.2.2 Traffic type: Retail/cart traffic, light forklift, medium duty.
2.2.3 Sizes: 72” to 120” wide; up to 120” high
2.2.4 Panels: Constructed of 1 ply of .160” thick smooth clear PVC with a 3” overlap at leading
edge; Standard (0° to 150°F) or Low Temp (-20° to 140°F) panels available.
2.2.4.1 Panel Option: .240” Thick smooth clear PVC Standard (0° to 150°F) or Low
Temp (-20° to 140°F) panels available.

2.2.5 Hardware: Galvanized steel, fully adjustable hinges swing open and closed on an even
plane. Hinges are fully adjustable for in jamb alignment and closing speed of each panel.
Galvanized steel door leafs included.
2.2.6 Panel Protection: Optional .160” Black flexible PVC impact plates on both sides.
2.2.6.1 Impact Plate Heights: 12”; 18”; 24”; 30”; 36”; 42”; 48”
PART 3 – EXECUTION
3.1 EXAMINATION
3.1.1 Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared.
3.1.2 Verify that jambs are plumb and square.
3.1.3 If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of
unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
3.1.4 Submit copy of installer’s report to Architect of record within 72 hours of report receipt.
3.2 PREPARATION
3.2.1 Clean surfaces thoroughly before installation.
3.2.2 Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the
best results for substrate under the project conditions.
3.3 INSTALLATION
3.3.1 Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
3.3.2 Minimum jamb construction of double studded 2” by 4” wood or equivalent.
3.3.3 Reinforce hollow metal jambs at hardware locations.
3.4 PROTECTION
3.4.1 Protect installed products until completion of project.
3.4.2 Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before substantial completion.
