Setup and uSe

Pour your desired amount of water into the
water reservoir, using the water level
indicator located at the side of the
coffeemaker window.

Make sure the filter basket is securely
in place and lid is completely closed.

Insert a permanent gold-tone filter OR
paper filter into the filter basket holder.
Using the scoop provided, add 1 scoop of
ground coffee per cup. Adjust the amount
to taste and close the lid.

To brew coffee, press the BREW/OFF
button. The digital display will show the
current setting, the Brew/Off blue LED
and brewing icon will flash. Brewing will
begin within 5 seconds. The Brewing
Icon will appear on the digital display.

Fully immerse the charcoal water filter in
cold tap water and soak for 15 minutes
(see complete instructions on page 9 of your

Instruction Booklet). Insert the filter into the
water filter holder. Open the water reservoir and insert
into the unit.

To program the AUTO ON:
Press and hold the PROG/AUTO ON
button for 2 seconds. The digital display

will flash the default time(12:00) Auto On
sign and current settings. The PROG/AUTO ON LED will
also flash. Follow directions under SETTING THE TIME
to program your start - brew time.

To complete AUTO ON setting:
Press PROG/AUTO ON button once.
The PROG/AUTO On LED will turn on
and AUTO ON sign will appear in the
digital display. Note: To start brew time at
the same time the next day, simply
press the PROG/AUTO ON button.
The blue AUTO ON LED will turn on.

Set coffee strength and or 1-4
cup setting: During AUTO ON setting,

select desired coffee strength (Regular or
Bold) and 1-4 cup setting by pressing Reg/
Bold button or 1-4 button. The selections will
appear in the digital display.

To set the time: Hold down Hour or
Minute button until the clock begins flashing.
Press either button to select the desired time.

When the number displayed approaches the
desired time, press and release to advance one digit
at a time. To complete clock setting do not touch
buttons for 2 seconds. The clock will stop flashing and
selected time will be displayed.
