Hurricane® 1 Peak HP Hand Blender
INTRODUCTION
Get ready to experience a whole new level of blender versatility. Your Hurricane®
1 Peak HP Hand Blender is a Potato Masher, too. A unique new attachment slips onto
the power handle so you don’t have to pull out your hand or stand mixer to make
perfect mashed potatoes – it only takes seconds! This very powerful hand blender is
also supremely multifunctional, with a blending attachment and chef’s whisk that attach
to the 1 Peak HP motor body housing. Take a look at our recipes to find out even more

FEATURES AND COMPONENTS
1. Variable Speed Control Dial:
Allows you to select speed and gradually adjust
during blending if desired.
2. Lock/Unlock Button:
Must be pressed to unlock before power handle
will operate.
3. On/Off Power Button:
Allows you to activate the hand blender at the
touch of a button after unlocking. Simply unlock,
then press and hold down to blend or pulse.
Once the button is released, blending will stop.
4. Comfort-Grip Handle:
The handle allows you to control the hand
blender with ease.
5. Motor Body Housing:
Houses the powerful 1 Peak HP motor.
6. Blending Attachment:
This attachment easily snaps into the motor
body housing. The fixed stainless blade is
partially covered by a stainless housing steel
blade guard that keeps splashing to a minimum.
Press the release button on the back of the unit
to detach for easy cleaning.
7. Potato Masher:
Attaches to motor housing to mash potatoes in
bowl or pot.
8. Whisk Attachment:
Whisk attachment snaps into the motor body
housing; this attachment is great for whipping
cream, egg whites and other delectable treats.
9. Mixing/Measuring Beaker:
Use this 4-cup blending beaker container to
blend drinks, shakes, salad dressings and more.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
BLENDING
The specially designed blade is for mixing and puréeing all kinds of foods, including salad dressings,
powdered drink products, soups and sauces, and blended drinks like milkshakes or smoothies.
This blade mixes and stirs while adding only alminimum of air to your mixture. A gentle up-and-down
motion is all you need to make the most flavorful, full-bodied recipes. be careful never to remove the
blending shaft from the liquid while in operation, for it will splatter. Tilt the pan or bowl away from
you if needed to ensure the protective blade guard on the blending shaft is fully submerged.
1. Plug in motor housing.
2. Put blending shaft into mixture to be blended.
3. Select Speed. Press and hold the Lock/Unlock button on top of the motor housing and press the
Power button to turn motor on. Once motor is on, you can release the Lock/Unlock button, but
continue to hold the Power button. You can also press the Power button first, holding it down as
you press the Lock/Unlock button to turn motor on. Speed can be gradually adjusted at any time
during blending. Do not hold Power button down for more than 60 seconds at a time.
4. To turn the blender motor off, release the Power button.
5. Unplug immediately after use.
CAUTION: DO NOT PUT FINGERS NEAR BLADE. TO DISLODGE FOOD, UNPLUG HAND
BLENDER FROM THE OUTLET FIRST.
PULSE
To Pulse, press and hold the Lock/Unlock button while pressing and releasing the Power Button as
desired.
WHISKING
1. Insert the whisk attachment into the motor body. (See Assembly for Whisk Attchment, page 6.)
2. Plug electrical cord into a wall socket.
3. Put the whisk into mixture to be blended.
4. Select Speed, Unlock and press Power button. The hand blender will continue to run as long as
the Power button is pressed in. To turn off, release the Power button and motor will start.
MASHING
1. Be sure potato masher is securely assembled.
2. Put potatoes or other food to be mashed in large bowl or pot.
3. Plug in unit and place head of potato masher into food.
4. Unlock and push power switch to turn masher on.
5. Slightly raise and lower masher as you move it through food until it reaches texture you want.
ASSEMBLY
POTATO MASHER ATTACHMENT
Your potato masher attachment comes fully assembled.
1. Align the gear box at the end of the potato masher with the motor
body housing and push gearbox and housing together until you
hear and feel them click.
2. Plug the motor housing into an electrical outlet.
NOTE: Gearbox detaches from potato masher shaft for
cleaning and storage.
To reassemble potato masher after cleaning (see Cleaning Potato
Masher Attachment, pg. 8)
1. Align the triangle mark on the gear box with the unlock symbol
on the potato masher shaft.
2. Rotate the gear box clockwise until you hear it click and lock
into place on the shaft.
3. Place blade onto hub at the wide end of shaft, push down, and
twist counterclockwise to secure.
NOTE: Blade cannot be put on or taken off unless gear box is
firmly attached to the shaft.

INTRODUCCIÓN
Prepárese para un nuevo nivel de versatilidad gracias a esta licuadora de mano. La
licuadora de mano de 1 HP Hurricane® también permite hacer puré de papas en
segundos gracias a un nuevo accesorio machacador único que le evitará tener que

PIEZAS Y CARACTERÍSTICAS
1. Control de velocidad variable:
Permite seleccionar la velocidad y ajustarla
gradualmente durante el uso.
2. Botón de bloqueo:
Debe presionarse para que el motor se
encienda, lo que evita encender la unidad
por accidente.
3. Botón de encendido/apagado:
Permite encender el aparato (después de haber
presionado el botón de desbloqueo).
Simplemente oprima y mantenga oprimido el
botón para licuar o pulsar. El aparato se apagará
al soltar el botón.
4. Mango de agarre cómodo:
Permite controlar fácilmente la licuadora
de mano.
5. Bloque-motor:
Contiene el poderoso motor de 1 HP.
6. Accesorio licuador:
Fácil de conectar al bloque-motor. El protector
de cuchillas de acero inoxidable evita las
salpicaduras. Simplemente oprima el botón de
liberación ubicado en la parte trasera de la
unidad para quitar la varilla para una fácil
limpieza.
7. Accesorio machacador:
Se conecta al bloque-motor para hacer puré
de papas directamente en la olla o el tazón.
8. Accesorio batidor:
Se conecta al bloque-motor y es ideal para
montar claras y preparar crema batida y otras
delicias.
9. Vaso medidor:
Vaso de 4 tazas (945 ml), ideal para licuar
bebidas, batidos, aderezos y mucho más.
Cuenta con una boca antigoteo y es fácil
de agarrar.

INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
CÓMO LICUAR:
La cuchilla ha sido diseñada para mezclar y licuar una gran variedad de alimentos, incluso aderezos,
bebidas en polvo, salsas, sopas, batidos/licuados y mucho más.
La cuchilla licua los alimentos incorporando solamente un mínimo de aire a la mezcla. Un
movimiento suave hacia arriba y abajo es todo lo que necesita para preparar las más sabrosas
recetas. Para evitar las salpicaduras, procure no sacar la cuchilla del líquido durante el
funcionamiento. Si es necesario, incline ligeramente la cacerola o el recipiente para que el protector
de cuchillas quede sumergido.
1. Enchufe el bloque-motor/la empuñadura.
2. Sumerja la varilla en la mezcla.
3. Elija la velocidad deseada. Mantenga oprimido el botón de desbloqueo arriba de la empuñadura
y presione el botón de encendido para encender el motor. Una vez encendido el motor,
puede soltar el botón de desbloqueo. Nota: también puede hacer el contrario, oprimiendo
primero el botón de encendido y luego el botón de desbloqueo. Ajuste la velocidad durante
el funcionamiento si desea. No presione el botón de encendido durante más de 60 segundos
seguidos.
4. Para apagar, suelte el botón de encendido.
5. Desenchufe el aparato inmediatamente después del uso.
PRECAUCIÓN: NO ACERQUE LOS DEDOS A LA CUCHILLA. DESENCHUFE EL APARATO
ANTES DE DESALOJAR ALIMENTOS TRABADOS EN LA CUCHILLA.
CÓMO PULSAR
Para pulsar, mantenga oprimido el botón de desbloqueo arriba de la empuñadura mientras presiona
repetidamente el botón de encendido.
CÓMO BATIR
1. Conecte el accesorio batidor al bloque-motor (véase las instrucciones de ensamblaje en la página
7 del manual de instrucciones).
2. Enchufe el cable en una toma de corriente
3. Sumerja el batidor en la mezcla.
4. Elija la velocidad deseada y encienda el aparato, manteniendo oprimido el botón de desbloqueo, y
luego presionando el botón de encendido. El aparato se apagará al soltar el botón.
CÓMO HACER PURÉ DE PAPAS
1. Cerciórese de que el accesorio machacador está debidamente ensamblado.
2. Coloque los alimentos en una olla o un recipiente grande.
3. Enchufe el aparato y coloque la cabeza del machacador en los alimentos.
4. Encienda el aparato, manteniendo oprimido el botón de desbloqueo, y luego presionando el
botón de encendido.
5. Mueva el accesorio machacador alrededor del recipiente, alzando y bajándolo ligeramente,
hasta obtener la textura deseada.
ENSAMBLAJE
ACCESORIO MACHACADOR
Este accesorio viene completamente ensamblado.
1. Haga coincidir la caja de engranajes con el bloque-motor y conecte ambas
piezas, presionando hasta que encajen.
2. Enchufe el aparato en una toma de corriente.
NOTA: para facilitar su limpieza y almacenaje, el machacador se separa de la
caja de engranaje.
Para volver a ensamblar el accesorio machacador después de la limpieza,
véase las instrucciones de limpieza del mismo en la página 8 del manual de
instrucciones.
1. Alinee el triángulo en la caja de engranajes con el candado abierto en la varilla
del accesorio machacador.
2. Gire la caja de engranajes en sentido horario hasta que encaje.
3. Coloque la cuchilla sobre el eje del majador presionándola y girándola en
sentido antihorario para asegurarla.
NOTA: no podrá instalar/sacar la cuchilla a menos que la caja de engranajes
esté debidamente conectada a la varilla.
