ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Place storage case
on a at surface with Cuisinart logo facing up. Open lid by lifting interlock tab between handles. Lift top to open.
2. Carefully remove
blades from storage case. Before rst use, separate the blades and wash them in hot, soapy water or in the dishwasher. CAUTION:
BLADES ARE SHARP. HANDLE WITH CARE. Dry thoroughly.
3. Attach the blades by inserting the rivet on one
blade into the keyhole of the other blade.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Be sure to fully charge
your electric knife for 4 hours prior to rst use.
2. The blades must be
assembled before tting into knife.
Caution: Always engage safety switch before handling blades or blade guide.
Holding the blades with the serrated edge away from you, insert blades until you hear a click. The blades may not line up evenly when properly inserted.
Caution: The blades are very sharp; be careful when handling them.
3. Slide the safety switch to the unlock position
and press/hold the thumb control to activate the electric knife.
4. Press and hold the thumb control as you cut,
keeping the blade straight so thickness of slices is consistent.
Caution: NEVER place your hand on top of the blade to support it while operating the knife as the blades are designed to move back and forth.
5. Blade automatically stops when On/Off control
is released.
HOW TO USE THE THICKNESS GUIDE
The adjustable thickness guide is to be used as an optional tool to ensure slices remain consistent and uniform. Use of the thickness guide is not required to operate the knife and can be stored in the provided carrying/storage case until necessary.
Attaching/Adjusting the Thickness Guide
To attach the thickness guide to your knife, rst ensure the safety switch is in the locked position. Looking at the bottom of the unit, attach the thickness guide by inserting and tightening the provided thumb screw once you have selected the desired thickness (markings are found on the underside of thickness guide, see g. A and B).
To adjust the thickness guide, loosen thumb screw and slide guide until the desired marking is lined up with the pin (see g. C). Tighten thumb screw to ensure the guide is securely in place prior to use. During extended periods of use, check every so often to make sure thumb screw does not require re-tightening.

CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS ONLY
California law provides that for In-Warranty Service, California residents have the option of returning a nonconforming product (A) to the store where it was purchased or (B) to another retail store that sells Cuisinart products of the same type.
The retail store shall then, at its discretion, either repair the product, refer the consumer to an independent repair facility, replace the product, or refund the purchase price less the amount directly attributable to the consumer’s prior usage of the product.
