INTENDED USE

Cristófoli Sealer was developed to seal packages (paper/plastic) proper for sterilization in steam autoclaves.

HOW TO USE THE CRISTÓFOLI SEALER

Plug the sealer and press for three seconds to turn on the equipment, 3 beeps will sound and the LED will blink, indicating the
heating phase. When sealing temperature is reached (three minutes approximately with the handle lifted up, Fig. 1), 2 beeps will sound
and the LED will be on, indicating that the sealer is ready to be used.

Insert the tip of the sterilization package through the sealing entrance, always with the paper side downwards and plastic upwards,
pull by the other side and place the roll at the roll holder (Fig. 1). Pull the paper to seal at the desired size.

Never perform sealing with the plastic side downwards in order avoid trouble with access of plastic material on the heater.
Pull the sealing handle until it locks, a beep will sound (Fig. 2), starting the sealing process (6 seconds). At the ending of this period, the

LED will be on and two beeps will sound continuously. Note: After 5 minutes with the handle down, the sealer will be automatically
turned off.

Before lifting up the sealing handle, cut the package by sliding the blade holder from a side to another and taking it back to the initial
position (Fig. 3).

Lift up the handle (Fig. 4) and take the package.
After using, press for three seconds to turn it off.

Note: After 30 minutes with no use, the equipment is automatically turned off.

RECOMMENDATIONS AND WARNINGS

NEVER PERFORM SEALING WITH THE PLASTIC SIDE DOWNWARDS, THIS SEALER MUST ONLY BE USED WITH
PAPER/PLASTIC PACKAGES.

Follow the instructions and guidelines from the sterilization packages manufacturer regarding use instructions, precautions, conservation
and storage.

This equipment works with high temperatures, because of that, avoid contact with hot parts, indicated by a label.
When packaging instruments, protect the pointy or sharp ones with cotton or gauze to avoid cuts or holes in the packages.
The amount of instruments must be compatible with the package to avoid ruptures. Cristófoli offers a variety of steam sterilization

packaging rolls of 100 meters, with 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 cm width.
Cristófoli Sealer is able to work on 127V and 220V, as indicated in the identification label, behind the equipment (Fig. 1).

PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

In order to avoid the risk of injuries such as accidental burns, unplug the equipment and wait for the sealing bar to cool down before
performing any maintenance procedure.

Cleaning - For an efficient cleaning, which must be done on a daily basis, use on the external side of the equipment a humid cloth with
biodegradable neutral detergent, after it, clean with a cloth dampened with alcohol 70% or peracetic acid at 1%. Periodically search for

paper stuck in the blade’s guide slot.
Replacement of blades - BE CAREFUL WHEN HANDLING THE BLADES! Place the blade holder at the center position, push the

guide (Fig. 5) and take the blade holder out (Fig. 6). Support the holder on the guide (Fig. 7) and take out the screws. Take out the old
blades (Fig. 8), place the new ones (n° 23) and repeat the process inversely. To put back the blade holder, place it at the center position,
verify if the tip of the blades is centered to the guide slot and press it down.

WARRANTY TERMS

HOW TO PROCEED WHEN SERVICE IS NEEDED

If there’s any problem with your equipment, get in touch with your local retailer or an authorized Cristófoli representative to schedule an evaluation
or repair of your equipment.

Before making contact, please have in hands the model of your equipment, voltage, serial number and the date of manufacture found on the
identification label located on the bottom of the equipment and a description of the problem.

Cristófoli Equipamentos de Biossegurança warranties the Cristófoli Sealer for 01 (one) year against any manufacturing defect from the

date of the purchase receipt (provided it contains the serial and lot numbers of the equipment), of which 03 (three) months refer to the legal
warranty (established by section II, art. 26, CDC, Brasil) and nine (09) months to the contractual warranty (arranged in art. 50, CDC, Brasil). Visit

Traveling costs (based on the distance traveled in km) and the stay of the authorized technician for installation, repair or maintenance before

or after the warranty period, will be responsibility of the buyer/owner as well as the freight charges for shipping the equipment to the authorized

technical assistance office for repairs or if necessary, to the factory itself.
The warranty will be voided immediately in cases of:

- Problems arising from natural causes (such as floods, lightning, landslide, etc.).

- Sinister (theft or robbery).

- Damage caused by accidents, such as: drops, power outage, etc..

- Use of materials that are not in accordance to the type of equipment, as described in the instruction manual.

- Removal and/or tempering of the serial number shown in the identification label of the product.

- Signs of tampering and/or blotted out data on the purchase or service receipt of the equipment.

- Signs of external violation of the product or broken factory seal.

- Use of accessories and materials not specified by Cristófoli.

- Modifications of the equipment performed by the customers themselves or at their own request.

- Repairs performed by technicians who are not part of the Cristófoli Authorized Service Network.

- Noncompliance with any measure or caution recommended in the instruction manual of the product.

- Lack of grounding or grounding not in accordance with the current standards of the country.
The Heating element is not covered by warranty if there’s plastic material on the heater.

Cutting blades are not covered by warranty.
