INSTALLATION INSTRUCT IONS:

The SV-5340 is a special designed license plate metal bar back up camera with a super wide
view angle. The mounting bracket is designed to be installed behind the license plate on any
vehicle so that only the camera is visible. It’s easy to install with no drilling required, requiring
minimal installation time. This uniquely designed product can be used for any passenger car,
SUV and Van. It can also be used on many large Semi Trucks, School Buses, and Transit
Buses

• The PlateCam™ is designed for vehicles in which the license plate location is centered
and above the level of the rear bumper. The PlateCam™ may not perform well on
vehicles with low or offset license plate positions

MOUNTING:

1. The PlateCam™ SV-5340 Rear Vision System uses a super wide-angle lens for best all

around performance. The Camera will display the f ull width of most parking spaces up to 8
feet or even wider.

2. The SV-5340 is designed to work best on vehicles that have a license plate located at the

center and above the rear bumper. If your vehicle has a plate location that is offset to the left
side, right side, or your plate is located under the bumper then the PlateCam™ may not
provide optimum performance.

3. The design of the camera allows it to be angled towards the rear “Blind Spot” behind the

vehicle. T he bar-bracket is designed to be mounted behind the license pl ate so that only the
camera is visible.

4. The SV-5340 is designed to use the existing License Plate mounting equipment

5. Remove the factory license plate bolts and secure the SV-5340 camera to the license plate by

inserting the mounting bracket behind the license plate leaving the camera hanging over the
top of the plate

6. Replace the license plate mounting bolts to fasten the plate and the camera to the vehicle
