COOL TIMER
Programmable Temperature & Timed Remote Start Interface Module

Features:

• User selectable temperature-controlled remote start allows the Cool Timer to start vehicle when a
pre-programmed temperature is reached. Vehicle will start every 2, 4, 6, 8, or 24 hours if
temperature stays at or below pre-programmed level.

1. For temperature controlled self-starting, the Timed hourly start setting must also be used.
Temperature control will not work without also setting an hourly time interval.

2. The +12V Brake wire will reset the RS400 module’s timer function. If this is not desired, you can
choose not to connect this wire or to add a toggle switch (not included) on the wire to selectively
use the reset function.

3. The RS400 will always display the current car temperature unless you are setting the temp or
hourly program.

INSTRUCTIONS:

SETTING TEMPERATURE CONTROL:

1. Press the round function key two times to access the temperature adjustment settings.

2. Press the increase or decrease arrows to select different temperature settings. The LCD Screen
will scroll through each different temperature settings as you press the increase or decrease
arrows.

3. After the correct temperature is displayed, push the function key within 5 seconds to set that
temperature.

4. The LCD will flash the set temperature 3 times and then return to the current car temperature

5. To change temperature at any time, repeat steps 1-3 above. NOTE: You must also set an hourly
interval when using temperature control.

SETTING TIMED SELF-STARTING:

1. Press the round function key once to access the hourly adjustment settings.

2. Press the increase or decrease arrows to select different hour settings. The LCD Screen will
scroll through each different hour interval as you press the increase or decrease arrows.

3. After the correct temperature is displayed, push the function key within 5 seconds to set that
temperature.

4. The LCD will flash the set hour interval 3 times and then return to the current car temperature

5. To change temperature at any time, repeat steps 1-3 above. NOTE: You must also set an hourly
interval when using temperature control.

6. Once an hourly interval is set, a small “m” will display in the lower corner of the LCD display
indicating the unit is programmed to time self starting.

SETTING FAHRENHEIT OR CELSIUS TEMPERATURE SCALE:
Factory Default Temperature: FAHRENHEIT

1. To change Temperature to the Celsius scale, simply cut the yellow wire loop.
