Two-Way RF Transceiver Module:
CWD7567
Functions and Features
The CWD7567 (hereafter referred to as “module”) is a two-way radio frequency (RF) module that
utilizes the 2.4 GHz fr eq u ency band t o communicat e wi th other devices.
The module oper at es a ccor din g t o the IE EE 8 02. 15. 4 speci ficat ion and can be config ured t o minimi ze
the possibility of interference with other devices.
The module receives RF signals from one or more Crestr on devi ces and can transmit these sign als over
the air for further processing (depending on the application).

1. The lo cation and orien tation of the module are impo r tant factors in the RF performance. With the unit located outside of
any metal enclosures, the antenna is adjusted to achieve the best range. The range is dependent on its placement and the
building in which it i s used. The constru ction of the building, obstructions, and RF interference from other devices are
factors determining the effective range of the unit. To prevent unit-to-unit RF interference, multiple modules operating
at the sa m e fr e qu e ncies shou ld not be installe d w ithin 3-5 f eet of eac h o t her.
Physical Description
The module, shown belo w, consist s of various compone nts attached to a print e d circ uit boa rd.
There are three (3) different build options for this module. The options specify the number of installed
push buttons/switches, the number and color of installed LEDs.

The mod u le contains a 10 -p in con nector. Ref er to the diagrams and descriptions that follow.
Power/I-O
The 10 pin con nector provides power to the module as well as communications between the module
and wir ed devices. Re fer to the foll owing table for pin assign ments of the module int er face connector.
NOTE: Pin 1 provides p o w er to the cir cu it card.
Refer to the hookup diagram below, which shows th e con nections made to the mod u le. Complete the
conn ections in any order.
NOTE: To pr eve nt un i t-to-unit RF inter ference, mul tiple modul es operatin g at th e s ame frequen cies
should not be installed within three to five feet of each other.
Orientation
The devi ce i s in tended to be install ed with the PCB perp endicular to the groun d with the antenna at the
top as shown in th e picture belo w.
Labeling
If the FCC identification numb er is not visibl e wh en the module i s installed inside another device, then
the outside of the device into which the module is installed must also display a label referring to the
enclosed module. This exterior label can use wording such as the following: “Contains Transmitter
Module FCC ID: EROCWD7567” or “Contains FCC ID: EROCWD7567.” Any similar wording that
expr ess es the same m ean ing may be used.
The OEM integrator has to be aware not to provide information to the end user regarding how to install
or r e move this RF m odule in the u s ers manual of t he end produ ct.
The users manual for OEM integrators must include the following information in a prominent location
“IMPORTANT NOTE: To comply with FCC RF exposure compliance
requirements, the antenna used for this transmitter must be installed to provide a
separation distance of at least 20 cm from all persons and must not be co-located
or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.”
