TSR-302 Handheld Touch Screen Remote
DO Install the Battery
To install the TSR-302-BTP, perform the following procedure:
1. Remove the battery compar tment cover on the rear of the TSR-302 by using two thumbs and gently pressing in the direction of the arrow shown in the following photograph.
2. Place the touch screen remote on a clean, soft surface, with the screen side down.
3. Place the TSR-302-BTP in the battery compartment, oriented as in the following photograph.
3. Select Enter Setup Mode. The main menu is displayed, as shown in the illustration below.
NOTE: Select Exit Setup Mode to exit the setup menu.
NOTE: From any of the setup menus, touch to go back to the
previous menu.

DO Set Up Basic Wireless
Before a TSR-302 can be used with a Crestron control system, it must rst be acquired by a CEN(I)-ERFGW-POE Extended Range RF Wireless Gateway (sold separately).
To acquire a TSR-302, perform the following steps.

3. When the process is complete, the screen displays an “Acquire OK” message. Press ACQUIRE on the gateway to exit Acquire mode. The LED turns off.
For information on wireless setup with roaming, refer to “Gateway Roaming Setup” in the TSR-302 Conguration Guide (Doc. 7663).
DO Set Up WiFi
From the main menu, touch WiFi® Setup and then Add Access Point to display the Select Access Point menu.
If the desired wireless access point is already on the list, touch Connect.
2. Touch the WAP Name (SSID) eld to open an on-screen keyboard, which can be used to enter the name.
3. Touch the Security eld to display the Encryption screen.
4. Select the appropriate type of encryption, and then touch to return to the Conrm Info menu.
5. Touch the Password eld to open an on-screen keyboard, which can be used to enter the password.
4. Reattach the battery compartment cover by pressing down lightly on the locking tab, while sliding the cover into place.
DO Congure the Touch Screen Remote
The main menu is the starting point for conguring the TSR-302 from Crestron®. If no project is loaded, touch the screen to access the main menu. If a project is running, the main menu can be accessed by pressing (Power), (Home), MENU, and GUIDE on the TSR-302 in sequence twice ( , , MENU, GUIDE, , , MENU, GUIDE) within a 5 second period.
The main menu can also be accessed via Crestron Toolbox™:
1. Establish communication with the TSR-302.
2. Right-click on the device and select Functions > Setup Mode.
1. Use a stylus or other thin-tipped object to press ACQUIRE on the CEN(I)-ERFGW-POE gateway to enter Acquire mode. The accompanying LED illuminates, indicating the unit is ready to link with the touch screen. (The gateway can also be put into Acquire mode via Crestron Toolbox.)
2. From the main menu on the TSR-302, touch RF Setup to display the
RF Setup menu. Then place the TSR-302 in Acquire mode by touching Acquire on the RF Setup menu. The screen displays an “Acquire in
progress” message and the TSR-302 is automatically acquired by the gateway within 2 minutes.
6. Touch Save to save the password and return to the Conrm Info menu.
Otherwise, perform the following steps to add a new access point.
1. Touch Add New to display the Conrm Info menu.

7. Touch Make this my Access Point to conrm the entries and display the WAP Connec t menu.
8. Touch Done to accept the connection to the wireless access point and to display the WiFi Setup win dow.
10. To use DHCP, touch repeatedly to return to the main menu.
11. To enter static IP settings, touch Off under DHCP Enabled. The TSR-302 ships with DHCP enabled by default.
12. Touch Set Static IP Address Settings to display the Static IPs menu.
14. Enter the address and touch Save to return to the Static IPs menu.
15. Touch each of the rest of the elds in turn and enter its address, and then touch Save.
16. Touch to return to the WiFi IP Settings menu.
17. Touch Reboot Required to Apply IP Changes.
9. Touch IP Settings to display the WiFi IP Settings menu.
13. Touch the Static IP address eld to open an on-screen numeric keypad.
