Getting Started Guide
Installation/Configuration Procedures
These procedures assume that RoomView Server Edition has been properly installed and configured on your system(s) and that you will be connecting to a processor running the demo program when you add a room as described in this guide. For more information refer to the latest version of the RoomView Server Edition Installation Guide (Doc. 6543), which can be downloaded from the Crestron website (www.crestron.com/manuals).

Adding a Room in RoomView

1. Log into RoomView and click the Setup tab at the top of the main RoomView window.
2. Click on the Tree View tab.
5. Enter information into the fields indicated as required by the red asterisk.
3. Click on the folder, or tree node, where you want to add the room.
4. Place the cursor on the Add menu and select Add Room with Symbol when the menu drops down.
6. Enter the optional information, such as time zone, e­Control and webcam urls, as desired.
7. Enter the processor details appropriate to your installation as shown in the following figure.
NOTE: When adding a processor to an existing room via Add Processor, the form shown above will also have
fields for Name and Location.
8. Select the Symbol version and IPID. Note that the demo program has a RoomView Express symbol at IPID 03 and a RoomView Server Edition symbol at IPID 05.
NOTE: When adding a new symbol to an existing processor via Add Symbol, the form shown above will also have a field for Symbol Name.

9. Click the Add Room button to commit your choices. Click on the Rooms tab at the top of the window to see the new room in the Status window.
