Crestron ST-CP SmarTouch™ Control Processor

Description

Functional Description

The SmarTouch control processor, part of the SmarTouch STS/STSI, interfaces with
almost all electronic equipment for complete control commands without delay. The
control processor should be located in an area near the A/V equipment that needs to
be controlled. It plays a vital role during programming and operation. The control
processor is hard wired to the user interface and PC when programming. During
operation, it receives RF signals from user interfaces. It then sends the commands to
the appropriate device.
There are two control processor configurations available. Configuration selection is
based on the type of power availability and the communication frequency. Use the
ST-CP with a 120V power supply and a transmission frequency of 433.92 MHz. Use
the ST-CP/UK with a 220V power supply and a transmission frequency of 418 MHz.
For purposes of this Operations Guide, the term ST-CP is used for either
configuration.
NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a
Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are
designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a
residential installation. The equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio
frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions,
may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no
guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this
equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which
can determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to
correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the
receiver is connected.
Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
