SmartPresenter™ Cable: SPC-550
The SPC-550 is designed for the SmartPresenter™ and used to control specific serially-controlled devices. The entire length of the cable is approximately 15 feet (4.572 meters) with a RJ11 (6-position, 6-pin) connector at one end and a 8-pin DIN connector at the other end.

NOTE: Alteration of the SPC-550 in any manner may affect its performance within the control system. Crestron cannot guarantee its behavior if altered.
A serially-controlled device can be controlled with the SmartPresenter™ only if the appropriate Q-Code is assigned to OUTPUT 4 on the SP-1. The SP-1 recognizes the Q-Code as an RS-232 switching device and outputs commands for that device to the PC port (rather than the OUTPUT 4 port). Use the SPC-550 to connect the SP-1 to the serially-controlled device (refer to illustration below). Only those devices with a cable code “e” designation in the Crestron Q-Codes table (latest version of the SmartPresenter Quick Guide, Doc. 5742) require the SPC-550.
