1–4: 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/ 1000BASE-T Ethernet to
video or control network
NOTE: The MGMT port is used for management and monitoring of the DM-XIO-DIR hardware.
The MGMT port does not provide access to the DM-XIO-DIR software and is independent of Ethernet ports 1–4.
NOTE: Ethernet ports 1–4 provide access to the DM-XIO-DIR software and allow conguration of
the software. The ports are independent of each other and have different network settings.

DO Congure the Device
Using the web interface, congure the DM-XIO-DIR software. To access the web interface, open a web browser and then go to the IP address of any one of the connected Ethernet ports labeled 1–4.
NOTE: By default, DHCP is enabled and each of the Ethernet ports labeled 1–4 is automatically
assigned a different IP address. If a DHCP server does not exist on the network, the IP address of each of the four Ethernet ports defaults to a link-local address in the 169.254.xxx.xxx range (refer to RFC 3927 for information about link-local addressing). The link-local address is different for each of the four Ethernet ports. To nd the IP address of any of the connected Ethernet ports (1-4), use the Device Discovery Tool in the Crestron Toolbox™ software.
NOTE: The Ethernet port that is being used to congure the DM-XIO-DIR software must be
accessible from the networks of the device running the web browser, the associated DM-NVX devices, and the control system (if present).
To log in to the web interface, enter the user name and password. The default user name is admin, and the default password is admin.

Rack Mounting Safety Precautions
• Elevated Operating Ambient Temperature: If installed in a closed or multi-uni t rack assembly, the oper ating ambient
temperature of the rack environment may be greater than room ambient temperature. Therefore, consideration should be given to installing the eq uipme nt in an env ironment compatibl e with the maxim um ambi ent temperature (Tma) specied by the manufacturer.
Reduced Air ow: Installation of the equi pment in a rack should be such that the amou nt of air ow required for safe operation of the equipment is not compromi sed.
Mechanical Loading: Mounting of the equipment in t he rack s hould be such that a hazardous condition is not achieve d due to uneven mechanical loading.
Circuit Overloading: Cons ideration sh ould be given to the c onnec tion of the equipment to the suppl y circuit and the effect that overloading of the circuits might have on overcurrent protection and supply wiring. Appropriate consideration of equipment nameplate ratings should be used when addressing this concern.
Reliable Ear thing: Reliable earthing of rack-mounted equipment should be maintained. Particular attention should be given to supply conne ctions other th an dire ct connections to the branch c ircuit (e.g., use of power strips).
Electrical Connection:
“This produc t must be c onnected to an e arth ed mains socket-outlet.”
• Finland: “Laite on liitettävä suojamaadoituskoskettimilla varustettuun pistorasiaan.”
• Norway: “Apparatet må tilkoples jordet stikkontakt.”
• Sweden: “Apparaten ska ll anslutas till jorda t uttag.”
