Crest audio NC-IPE DATASHEET

Power Processing
INPUT PROCESSING MODULE
Modules
FOR CKS, CKV & CKX SERIES
POWER PROCESSING AMPLIFIERS
Product Information
The NC-IPE Module fits in the Input Processing bay located on the rear panel of Crest Audio CKS, CKV & CKX Series Power Processing amplifiers. It includes programmable gain elements for level changes and provision for external switching to a line level page input signal.
A DC voltage ranging from +5 to +24 VDC (at 40mA) will enable a relay which will switch in the external paging signal. Internal jumpers in the module can be used to set whether the page input is enabled when power is applied or enabled when power is removed (allowing the use of normally open or normally closed switches to control the page function).
Features:
• NexSys-compatible gain control with priority external page
• Programmable precision attenuation when used in conjunction with the hand-held N-Coder or N-Coder/PC software
• Balanced input barrier strip connectors • Removable gain pot knobs for security
• 5mm 2-pin Phoenix connector for page-enable • Simple setup, tamper-proof configuration
Internal Features:
• Jumper-selectable gain of X20 (26 dB), X40 (32 dB, factory setting), or constant sensitivity for full output at 0dBu (.775V) in.
• Jumper-selectable NO/NC relay
In conjunction with the hand-held N-Coder or N-Coder/PC software, the NC-IPE can also function as a precision attenuator in NexSys®and nonNexSys controlled applications.
An internal jumper selects between gains of X20 (26 dB), X40 (32 dB), or constant sensitivity for full output at 0dBu (.775V) in. The standard factory setting is for X40 (32dB). Individual channel attenuators are provided with removable knobs for extra security. The NC-IPE is programmable via NexSys, the hand-held N-Coder or N-Coder/PC software. (NexSys-compatible Power/Output and Network NC modules are required for NexSys implementation.)

Architects and Engineers Specifications: NC-IPE.
The module shall plug into Crest Audio CKS or CKV Power Processing amplifiers in the Input Processing bay. The module shall be NexSys-compatible. Barrier strip input connections shall be provided which feed two electronically balanced inputs. A page input barrier strip, line level feed shall be activated by the page enable relay. This in turn shall be activated via a contact closure providing +5 to +24 VDC at the page enable connector.
Two removable-knob gain pots shall be provided that control the level of each input. An internal input sensitivity/voltage gain jumper shall be provided with selections of 0dBu, X20 and X40. Programmable gain elements shall be provided that can be controlled/programmed either by NexSys via an NC-NXS module (if fitted), a hand-held N-Coder or N-Coder/PC software. The module shall be designated the Crest Audio model NC-IPE.
