Unscrew the bowl by pulling the tab down and turning the bowl to the left.

Cleaning Inside the Output Device

WARNING: Risk of electrical shock if liquids are alowed to run freely into the output device.*
CAUTION: Be careful not to bump your head on the raised panel.*
To open the front panel:

a. In Print Console software, unlock
the front panel.
Cleaning the Edge Detection Strip
Rotate the drum to expose the two edge detection strips.

Dampen a cloth with isopropanol and swipe it along each strip once, in one direction only.

To close the panels: a. Pull down the front panel
and turn the locking latches.
b. Rotate the two latches
and lift the front panel.

Locate the blue plate roller.

Dampen a cloth with water, and slide the cloth over the plate roller.
b. Pull down the top panel
and then push on the two corners to lock the internal latches.
The top panel opens automatically.

Replacing the Intake Air Filter
Remove the fan box panel:

a. Push the upper corners of the fan box panel
in until you hear both latches click.

Clean the intake air fi lter frame. Install the new intake air fi lter.

b. Lift the fan box panel up and out.
Remove the old intake air fi lter from inside the fan box panel.

Replace the fan box panel:

a. Lift the fan box panel and lower
it onto the locating pins.

the fan box panel in until you hear both latches click.

Open the front panel:

and lift the front panel.

a. In Print Console software, unlock
the front panel.
CAUTION: If you have an implanted cardiac pacemaker, ensure that magnetic clamps are kept more than 7 cm (2.75 in.) away from the pacemaker.*
Rotate the drum to expose the trailing-edge clamps.
Slide the trailing-edge clamps off the plate.
Fold over the corners of the plate.
Press the leading-edge clamps to free the plate.

The top panel opens automatically.
Clean out any debris left behind.
In Print Console, click Resume.

Reposition the trailing-edge clamps:
a. Align the trailing-edge clamps.
b. Slide the trailing-edge
clamps into position.

Close the panels: a. Pull down the front panel and rotate
the locking latches.
b. Pull down the top panel, and then push on
the two corners to lock the internal latches.

In Print Console, click Resume.
