tank in the refrigerator. Cleaning can be repeated as long as
key stays amber. Coffee⁄tea output is also possible without the milk tank inserted. Before changing between coffee⁄milk drinks and tea: Flush the piping

Regular cleaning (at least every two months) means better coffee and makes your appliance last longer.
Scaling is not covered by the guarantee..
Use special descaler (never use vinegar) following the mixing instructions on the label.
Remove all capsules from the machine before descaling. Power cuts or switching off interrupt the descaling programme. Then the clean-
ing key flashes red⁄violet because the water circuit still contains descaler which is a health hazard. Before making another drink in such case, always make sure the machine is flushed out with clean water.
Important!
At least every 2 months: descale (new version)
After 300 coffee servings or 200 milk drinks the cleaning key flash

es red during output . Immediately descale the machine!
Mix special descaler with water
and fill the tank (at least 0.75 l; follow the mixing instructions on the label). Never use vinegar, which will damage the machine!
Remove all capsules from the machine. Insert the empty milk tank. Place a large bowl (min. 1.6 l) under the nozzle

and switch on the machine. The steaming out programme starts; now release the key
Caution: steam coming out of the nozzle: danger of scalding!
After a few seconds you will hear the pump. When it stops, the key lights extinguish and steaming out is finished
Prior to long periods of disuse or at storage⁄transport temperatures below 5 °C, steaming out the machine is essential to remove all water from the
system. This prevents any frost damage inside the machine. Before operating again, first flush out the machine and piping (
page 20).
At temperatures below 5 °C, the machine cannot be started and the cleaning key lights up red
.

Always steam out prior to storage or transport
To avoid storage and transport damage, steam out the machine
beforehand (water removal). This is absolutely essential at temperatures below 5 °C
