The Newera Profile panel heater range is designed for wall mounting on the wall brackets supplied. It
should only be operated when in the upright position as shown in diagram C.
All models are protected against moisture ingress to IPX4 standard.
All models, except those with no controls, are fitted with a 7-day digital programmer.
Installation:
Before connecting the heater, check that the supply voltage is the same as that stated on the rating label.
When selecting the position for the heater to be installed, consideration should be given to ensure that there
are no obstructions closer than the dimensions given in Diagram C. The bracket for the heater should be
fitted in accordance with the method detailed in the associated diagrams. The heater must not be located
below a socket outlet or connection box.
Care must be exercised when fitting the heater onto the bracket. Pressure should only be applied to
the ends of the heater and not to the grille area.
The electrical installation must be carried out by a competent electrician and in accordance with the current
Electrical Wiring Regulations (BS7671) and/or local regulations.
The heater is fitted with a length of flexible cable for connection to the fixed wiring of the premises via a
suitable connection box positioned adjacent to the heater.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
A means for disconnection in all poles must be incorporated in the fixed wiring in accordance with
the wiring rules.
WARNING – THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED
WARNING – In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.
Bathroom Installation
IMPORTANT – If the heater is installed in a room containing a bath or shower, it must be so installed that
switches and other controls cannot be touched by a person using a bath or shower.
Wall Mounting
IMPORTANT – DO NOT locate the heater immediately below a fixed socket outlet or connection box. The
wall bracket supplied with the appliance should be fitted using the screws and wall plugs provided. The
heater should be positioned observing the minimum clearances around the heater (see diagram C).
For all heater sizes
The bracket has been designed to be used as a template for setting the wall fixing position. Refer to the
diagrams below for dimensional details. To set the vertical minimum, the bracket should be positioned on
the floor and the wall marked at the notches in the vertical members of the bracket. This marks the final
position of the bottom of the bracket. When placing the heater on the bracket, firstly engage the heater on to
the bottom hooks and then press the heater on to the catches. It is recommended to press the heater at the
ends and not on the grille area.
500W Heater (refer to diagram A)
If the heater is required to be fitted towards an object/obstruction to the left then the bracket should be
positioned against the floor and the object/obstruction and the wall marked along the right edge of the right
upright. This is the final position of the left side of the left upright member of the bracket.
If the heater is required to be fitted towards an object/obstruction to the right then the bracket should be
positioned against the floor and the object/obstruction and the wall marked along the left edge of the left
upright. This is the final position of the right side of the right upright member of the bracket.
All other sizes of heaters (refer to diagram B)
If the heater is required to be fitted towards an object/obstruction to the left then the bracket should be
positioned against the floor and the object/obstruction and the wall marked at notch ‘A’. This is the final
position of the left side of the left upright member of the bracket.
If the heater is required to be fitted towards an object/obstruction to the right then the bracket should be
positioned against the floor and the object/obstruction, and the wall marked at notch ‘B’. This is the final
position of the right side of the right upright member of the bracket.
The bracket has also been designed to allow the use of a spirit level on the horizontal member for
levelling during fitting.
