You are now the proud owner of the compact but powerful Crate GX-15/15R amplifier . Two
versatile channels – one crystal clear and the other with our patented “Flex-Wave” distortion –
combined with reverb (GX-15R) and a three-band EQ offer you more flexibility and performance than any amp in its class. Aspecial damping circuit simulates the “current source” type of
output of a tube amp, giving you solid state reliability combined with classic tube sounds.
Like all Crate products, your GX-15/15R is designed by musicians, and built using only
the best components. Extensive testing insures you that this amplifier is the absolute best
it can be.

1: INPUT: Use this 1/4” jack to connect
your guitar to the amplifier by means of a
shielded instrument cable.
OVERDRIVE CHANNEL: A high gain
channel giving you sounds from a slight
edge to serious overdrive.
2: GAIN: Use this control to adjust the
amount of distortion for the Overdrive
channel.
3: LEVEL: Use this control to adjust the
output level of the Overdrive channel.
4. OVERDRIVE SELECT: This switch,
when depressed, selects the Overdrive
channel. The Clean channel is selected
when this switch is in the out position.
CLEAN CHANNEL: Anormal gain channel
giving you sounds from crystal clean to
medium overdrive.
5: LEVEL: Use this control to adjust the
output level of the Clean channel.
6: LOW: Use this control to adjust the bass
response of the amplifier. Rotating the control counterclockwise reduces the low frequency output. Rotating the control clockwise increases the low frequency output. It
may be necessary to reduce the Low frequency output at higher volume levels.
7: MID: Use this control to adjust the
midrange frequency output of the amplifier.
Rotating the control counterclockwise
reduces the midrange frequency output.
Rotating the control clockwise increases
the midrange frequency output.
8: HIGH: Use this control to adjust the high
frequency response of the amplifier.
Rotating the control counterclockwise
reduces the high frequency output.
Rotating the control clockwise increases
the high frequency output.
9: REVERB LEVEL (GX-15R only): Use
this control to adjust the amount of reverb
applied to the output signal.
10: HEADPHONES: Use this jack to connect headphones to the amplifier. The
internal speaker is disconnected when this
jack is used. Aline level signal can also be
obtained from this jack for recording, etc.
CAUTION: To avoid possible damage to
your hearing, so not use headphones for
extended periods of time at extremely
loud levels.
11: EXTERNAL SPEAKER: Use this jack
to connect the amplifier to an external
speaker. The internal speaker is disconnected when this jack is used. The impedance of the external speaker must be 4
ohms or greater.
WARNING: Do not attempt to use headphones in the Speaker jack! Permanent
hearing damage could result!
12: ON LED: This LED illuminates when
the amplifier is turned on.
13: POWER: Use this switch to turn the
amplifier on (top of the switch depressed)
and off (bottom of the switch depressed).
14: POWER CORD (rear panel, not
shown): The grounded power cord should
only be plugged into a grounded power outlet that meets all applicable electrical codes
and is compatible with the voltage, power,
and frequency requirements stated on the
rear panel. Do not attempt to defeat the
safety ground connection.

1: ENTRADA (INPUT): Conecte su guitarra aquí utilizando

CANAL DE SOBRESATURACION (OVERDRIVE): Es un
canal de alta ganancia que proporciona un sonido que va de
leve a una seria saturacion.
2: GANANCIA (GAIN): Este control ajusta la cantidad de
compresión y distorsión de el amplificador. Con el control
girado hacia la izquierda, el sonido tendra una calidad de
compresión densa. Cuando usted gira el control hacia la
derecha la cantidad de distorsion aumenta. Los circuitos “Flex
Wave” exclusivos de Crate utilizan ganancias de cascada
secuencial para proporcionar una distorsion rica en armonicas y sensible al tacto. Utilice este control conjuntamente con
el Nivel (#3) para crear una amplia variedad de sonidos.
3: NIVEL (LEVEL): Este control ajusta el nivel de volumen de
la salida de el canal de sobresaturacion: girado totalmente
hacia la izquierda no habra salida mientras usted gira el control hacia la derecha el nivel de salida aumenta. Utilice este
control junto con el control de Ganancia (#2) para crear una
amplia variedad de sonidos.
4: SELECTOR DE SOBRESATURACION (OVERDRIVE
SELECT): Cuando este boton interruptor es presionado el
canal de sobresaturacion queda activado. El canal limpio se
selecciona cuando este interruptor queda abierto.
CANAL LIMPIO (CLEAN): Canal de ganancia normal destinado para dar sonidos limpios como el cristal a sonidos de
mediana distorcion.
5: NIVEL (LEVEL): Este control ajusta el nivel de volumen de
salida de el Canal Limpio: en la posicion izquierda no habrá
salida: si usted lo gira hacia la derecha el nivel de salida
aumenta. Vuelto hacia la derecha se encuentra la maxima
salida – mientras usted aumenta el nivel, reduzca el control
de Graves (#6).
EQUALIZACION (EQUALIZATION)
6: GRAVES (LOW): Ajuste el nivel de salida de baja frecuen-
cia con este control: girando el control hacia la izquierda se
reduce la salida de baja frecuencia: girandolo hacia la
derecha aumenta la salida de baja frecuencia. El control de
graves permite un rango total de 25 Decibeles de incremento
o corte a 80 Hertz. Debido a la alta cantidad de bajo
disponible, usted quiza desee “disminuir” el bajo a volumenes
altos.
7: MEDIO (MID): Ajuste el nivel de salida de frecuencias
medias con este control: la posicion central es “plana” (es
decir, no hay aumento ni corte). Girando el control hacia la
izquierda se reduce la salida de rangos medios: girandola
hacia la derecha aumenta la salida de rangos medios. El control de medios permite un incremento de 19 Decibeles de
aumento o corte a 900 Hertz.
8: AGUDOS (HIGH): Ajuste el nivel de salida de alta frecuencia con este control. En la posicion central la salida de
alta frecuencia sera “plana” (ni aumento, ni corte). Girando el
control hacia la izquierda se reduce la salida de alta frecuencia: girandolo hacia la derecha se aumenta la salida de alta
frecuencia. El control de altos permite un rango total de 23
Decibeles de incremento o corte a 5 Kilohertz.
9: REVERBERACION (REVERB): (GX-15R) Ajuste la cantidad de efecto de reverberacion con este control, girado totalmente a la posicion izquierda, la senal sera “seca” (sin ningun
efecto de reverberacion). Cuando usted gire el control hacia
la derecha, la cantidad de reverberacion aumenta.
10: AUDIFONOS (HEADPHONES): Para sesiones de practica privadas, enchufe un par de audifonos en este conector.
La bocina interna es desconectada cada vez que los audifonos estan siendo utilizados.
11: BOCINA EXTERNA (EXTERNAL SPEAKER): Usted
puede conectar el GX-15/15R a una bocina externa con una
impedancia proporcional a los 4 Ohms utilizando este conector. La bocina interna se desconecta cada vez que esta utilizando una bocina externa.
12: LED ENCENDIDO (ON LED): Este LED brillara cuando
usted encienda el GX-15/15R, mostrando que el amplificador
este activado y listo para tocar.
13: ENERGIA (POWER): El apagador e utiliza para encender el amplificador en la posicion arriba, apagado en la posicion abajo. El LED encendido (#12) trabaja con este apagador como un indicator visual.
14: CABLE DE ENERGIA: (POWER CORD): (Panel trasero,
no se muestra) Este cable de energia, de tres alambres de
uso pesado con tierra se debe conectar SOLAMENTE a una
conexion de energia de 60 ciclos de Corriente Alterna, a 120
Volts con tierra y cableada de forma que no presente ningun
peligro. NO INTENTE eliminar la conexion de tierra en este
cable! Si su GX-15/15R fue adquirido fuera de los Estados
Unidos vea la parte posterior de la unidad para las especificaciones de energia y siga las instrucciones arriba mencionadas.
CUIDADO: No intente utilizar audifonos en el conector de la bocina! Puede el oido resultar danado permanentemente.

1. JACK D’ENTRÉE (INPUT): Connecter une guitare ici
avec un câble d'instrument blindé.
LA CANAL OVERDRIVE (OVERDRIVE): Un canal avec un
grand gain pour créer les sons d'un avantage mince à une
overdrive intense.
2. GAIN: Ce réglage determine les quantités de compression et de distorsion dans le son. Avec le réglage à gauche,
le son a une qualité indistincte et comprimée. En tournant le
réglage à droite la quantité de distortion augmente. Le circuit
«Flex-Wave», exclusivement de Crate, utilise les gains continus et cascadants pour créer une distorsion qui est riche en
harmonie et «sensitive au toucher.» Utiliser ce réglage avec
le Niveau (#3) pour créer une variété vaste de sons.
3. NIVEAU (LEVEL): Ce réglage determine le niveau de
volume du canal overdrive: avec le réglage gauche, il n'y a
pas de sortie; en tournant le réglage à droite, le niveau de sortie augmente. Utiliser ce réglage avec le réglage de gain (#2)
pour créer une variété de sons.
4. COMMANDE OVERDRIVE (OVERDRIVE): Quand ce
bouton est engagé, le canal overdrive s'engage. Le canal net
est choisi quand le bouton n’est pas engagé.
CANAL CLEAN: Un canal d'un gain normal pour donner des
sons très clairs au sons avec une distorsion intermédiare.
5. NIVEAU (LEVEL): Ce réglage determine le niveau de volume du canal net: avec le réglage à gauche il n'y a pas de
sortie; en tournant le réglage à droite, le niveau de sortie augmente. La position à l'extrême droite présente la sortie au
maximum; en augmentant ce niveau, diminuer le réglage des
sons graves (6).
EGALISATION (EQUALIZATION)
6. GRAVE (LOW): Adjuster le niveau de la basse fréquence
avec ce réglage; tourner le réglage à gauche pour réduire la
sortie de la basse fréquence; tourner le réglage à droite pour
augmenter la sortie de la basse fréquence. Le réglage de la
basse fréquence permet une plage totale de 25 dB d'augmentation ou une coupe à 80 Hz. Acause de la quantité massive des basses fréquences disponibles, diminuer les sons
graves aux hauts niveaux de volume.
7. MEDIUM (MID): Adjuster le niveau de la moyenne
fréquence avec ce réglage; la position au centre est «plat»
(pas d'augmentation ou de coupe). Tourner le réglage à
gauche pour réduire la sortie de la moyenne fréquence; tourner le réglage à droite pour augmenter la sortie de la moyenne
fréquence. Le réglage de la moyenne fréquence permet une
augmentation de 19 dB ou une coupe à 900 Hz.
8. AIGU (HIGH): Adjuster le niveau de sortie de l'haute
fréquence avec ce réglage; avec une position au centre, la
sortie de la haute fréquence est «plat» (pas d'augmentation
ou de coupe). Tourner le réglage à gauche pour réduire la
sortie de la haute fréquence; tourner le réglage à droite pour
augmenter la sortie de l'haute fréquence. Le réglage de la
haute fréquence permet une plage totale de 23dB d'augmentation ou une coupe à 5 kHz.
9. RÉVERBÉRATION (REVERB): Adjuster la quantité de
réverbération avec ce réglage; avec le réglage à gauche, le
signal est sec (sans réverbération). Tourner le réglage à
droite pour augmenter la quantité de réverbération.
10. PRISE CASQUE (HEADPHONES): Pour avoir la practique privée, brancher une fiche de casque d'écoute sur cette
prise. Le haut-parleur se déconnecte automatiquement
quand le casque est branché.
11. HAUT-PARLEUR SUPLÉMENAIRE (EXTERNAL
SPEAKER): Brancher le GX-15/15R à un haut-parleur suplé-
mentaire avec une impédance de précision à moins de 4
ohms dans cette prise. Le haut-parleur se déconnecte
automatiquement quand un haut-parleur suplémentaire est
branché.
12. VOYANT LUMINEUX «ON» (LED): Allume quand le GX15/15R est en marche pour montrer que l'amplificateur est
activé et prêt à utiliser.
13. INTERRUPTEUR (POWER): Cette commande est utilisé pour ouvrir l'amplificateur avec une position à en haut ou
pour fermer l'amplificateur avec une position à en bas. Le voyant lumineux fonctionne avec ce curseur comme un indicateur
visuel.
14. CORDON SECTEUR (POWER CORD): (Face arriére,
pas montré) Ce cordon de trois fils à la masse doit être
branchè seulement sur une prise de courant raccordée à la
terre. de 120 volt, 60 cycle CA. N’essayez jamais de supprimer la broche correspondant à la terre. Si le GX-15/15R a
été acheté en dehors des États-Unis, voir la face arriere pour
son règime de puissance et suivre les instructions en-dessus.
AVERTISSEMENT: N’essayez pas à utiliser un casque
d'écoute avec la prise pour un haut-parleur suplémentaire.La surdité permanent peut résulter.

The GX-15/15R is covered with a durable black Tolex material: wipe it clean with a lint-free cloth. Never spray
cleaning agents onto the cabinet. Avoid abrasive cleansers which would damage the finish.
