BevMax 3/2 Port (Vend) Sensor Changes & Installation
Reason: To our valued customers. This service bulletin provides instructions for replacing the port
assembly and the port sensor on Bev Max 2 and 3 machines. Due to the unique nature of the vend
sensor both the port and sensor must be replaced when either one has been damage. The sensor is
tuned to the metal ring that rests at the bottom of the port assembly. Older port rings will not work with
the latest port sensor. If you have any issues please contact your Crane Merchandising Systems
Representative or the Technical Service Department at 803-266-5001.

Installation:
1. Remove old port assembly and port sensor.
2. Install the new port assembly CR0015405. See Figure 3.

3. Install the mounting bracket for the port sensor, CR0003020.

4. Connect the electrode wire from the port sensor, 80492958, to the bottom of the port with a #8
nut. Do not over tighten. See Figure 5

5. Attach the port sensor harness to the port harness at the top of the port assembly.
6. Attached the port motor harness to the port motor board at the top of the port assembly.
7. Install the motor cover, be sure to route the harness thru the motor cover and secure into place.
8. Test vender for proper operation
