RULES FOR SAFE OPERATION
1. Risk of eye injury--a{ways use safety glasses or similar protection.
2. Keep hands, face and fee{ dear of rotating line. Do not operate
withoutguard in place,
3. Dress Properly--Do notwear loose clothing or jewelry. They can
be caught in moving parts. Use of rubber gloves and substantial
footwear isrecommended when workingoutdoors. Wear long
pantsto protect your legs.

5. Avoid dangerous environment.--don't use roofin damp or wet
locations,or in the vicinity of flamroable fumes. Don't Use InRain.

7. WARNING: To reduce risk of electric shock, use only.with an
extension Cord intendedfor outdoor use. A two-wire cordwithout a
ground connection may be used since the tool isdouble insulated.
8. Cord Sets--Make sure your cord set is in good condition, When
using a cord set be sure to use one heavy enough to carry the
current your product willdraw.An unders_zed cord set wit!cause
a drop in linevoltage resulting in lossofpower and over-heating.
Cord should be 16 gage or heavier and should not exceed t00 ft.

Remove TRIMMER from carton and examine it thoroughly to
make sure it isnot damaged.
Remove and discard protective plastic clips inserted in
handle tubes before assembly of.trimmer.

• Medium Phillips screwdriver
• Adjustable wrench or pliers
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
ATTACHING THE ASSIST HANDLE AND TUBES
Attach the assist handle to the uppertube before joining the
three tube sections. (Fig. 1}
• The harness Wirethat is exposed between the tubes will pass
through the slot in the bottom of the handle.
• Slide assist handle uponto the upper tube.
• Place the bolt into the handle, attach wingnut and tighten. (Fig. 2)
. Slide outer tube up lower tube and over upper tube until
the assembly holes are aligned, being carefu! not to pinch
'orcut harness wire.
NOTE: Shouid the outer tube be difffcuit to slide, grasp outer
tube steeve firmly and twist slowly back and forth while
pushing upward.
• insert screws carefully to avoid damage to harness wire, attach
Iocknuts and tighten. (Fig. 3)
ATTACHING THE GUARD
• TurnTrimmer upside down. Slide Guard and Blade Ass_ and
FrontGuard into grooves on Trimmer housing (Fig 4).
- Insert 2 screws supplied and tighten firmly.
• DO NOT OPERA'rE TRIMMER WITHOUT GUARDS IN
PLACE.
CAUTION: THE CUTTING BLADE MOUNTED iN THE
GUARD ASSEMBLY IS EXTREMELY SHARP AND CARE
SHOULD BE EXERCISED WHEN HANDLING OR
OPERATING TRIMMER TO AVOID CONTACT WITH
CUTTER.
