WHY BLUE IS NOT NECESSARILY
COOL...
A correctly tuned ultraviolet (UV) lamp should
predominantly emit invisible UV light waves, with
a trace of visible “purple” or “blue” light. A small
amount of visible light is required to direct the
user’s eyes to the leak search area, while the
invisible UV light rays actually illuminate a leaking
dye.
Lamps that emit large amounts of visible blue
light have been marketed as being more powerful
and more effective at fluorescing leaks, backed
by the obvious high output of visible light.
Knowing that UV dye additives require invisible
true UV light rays to effectively fluoresce dispels
this claim altogether. In fact, special “blue
blocking” glasses are required for use with these
high output blue lamps in order to remove the
nuisance blue light from the vision of the user
during the leak search process. Otherwise, the
high output of light will mask the actual leak or
illuminating dye additive.

ANTI-SIPHON VALVE KITS
The CPS anti-siphon valve is an essential accessory to
any vacuum pump application. The anti-siphon valve
prevents the cross-contamination of vacuum pump
oil and the compressor oil in the A/C or refrigeration
system being serviced. Mixing of vacuum pump oil and
compressor oil can cause premature failure in the A/C
or refrigeration system. CPS makes three models that

SH450 MULTI-FUNCTION SUPERHEAT
THERMOMETER & SYSTEM ANALYZER
The SH450 system analyzer is a versatile diagnostic
tool for accurately measuring and evaluating the
performance of today’s advanced HVAC/R systems.
Measurement capabilities include pressure, superheat,
sub cooling, relative humidity, wet bulb, dry bulb and
dew point with a range of highly accurate, job specific
probes and sensors. The unit is also an advanced
multi-channel thermometer, incorporating 4 discrete
temperature channels with temperature differential
between any 2 of the 4 inputs, min/max, scan and data

TM50 DIGITAL POCKET THERMOMETER
A step above the standard pocket thermometer, the TM50 is packed full of features,
including a user selectable temperature alarm, a countdown timer, min/max, °F/°C
selectable and memory functions. The unit incorporates a highly accurate stainless
steel 3.8” (96 mm) puncture probe with a 4’ (122 cm) cord. Temperature measurement
range is -58° to 572°F ( -50° to 300°C). The TM50 operates on a single AAA alkaline

The TLMKC18 is designed to manually open
solenoid valves by magnetically lifting the
stem assembly and plunger. Simply slide
the TLMKC18 over the valve’s enclosing
tube and the industrial grade magnets
incorporated inside the rugged ABS plastic
housing does the rest. It is an ideal tool
for trouble shooting/servicing both direct
connected or pilot operated 2-way solenoid,
3-way reclaim or 4-way reversing valves.
