THE DEVICE
Protective cap
The pen body Indicator light USB charging port: power supply through
USB data cable.
Power key: power on/off, wake-up from
sleep.
user-defined key value (as programmed in the host app).
Scan position indication: Align the arrow to
the line of text to be scanned during scanning.
Scan trigger switch: Scan light lits up when
pressed.
GET STARTED
C-PEN Connect/BT10 is a Bluetooth handheld text scanner/digital highlighter with which printed text easily can be captured, recognised and transferred to a host device (computer/smartphone/tablet).
To function, BT10 needs to be Bluetooth connected to a host, and C-PEN Connect app needs to be installed and running on the host.

How to connect BT10 to a host
• Download and install the C-PEN Connect app (use link above).
• Follow connection instruction in app startup wizard.
NOTE: when connecting the first time ­make sure only one (1) device is within Bluetooth range.

POWER modes
C-PEN Connect has three power modes; ON, SLEEP, OFF
• When OFF, press power button 5s to power on.
• When ON, press power button 5s to power off.
• When ON, press power button briefly to set to SLEEP mode.
• When in SLEEP mode, press any button briefly to power on.
It is also possible to set automatic timeouts for OFF and SLEEP modes. These settings are accessible in the host app. See app settings for options.
Safety Precautions for Battery Usage
THE LITHIUM BATTERY IS HAZARDOUS. ANY ATTEMPT TO DISASSEMBLE THE BATTERY IS NOT ALLOWED. IF YOU DISASSEMBLE OR REPLACE THE BATTERY, IT MAY EXPLODE. THROWING IT INTO A FIRE MAY ALSO CAUSE AN EXPLOSION. KEEP THE BATTERY AND THE DEVICE DRY, AND AWAY FROM WATER OR OTHER
LIQUID TO AVOID SHORT-CIRCUIT. MAKE SURE NOT TO USE THE BATTERY WHEN IT IS DAMAGED, DEFORMED, DISCOLORED OR OVERHEATED OR EMITS AN ODOR. THIS PRODUCT SHOULD BE USED WITH CARE IN TROPICAL REGIONS. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ON HOW TO USE THE PEN, PLEASE CONTACT OUR TECHNICAL SUPPORT/SERVICE FOR HELP.
BATTERY maintenance and precautions
Battery capacity deteriorates over time. To optimize battery life time:
• Charge battery prior to becoming completely empty.
• Do not expose the battery to heat longer than necessary (above 30°C is considered hot).
• Disconnect charger as soon as possible after battery becoming fully charged.
• Especially do not leave battery flat as it may harm the battery.
• EVEN IF THE DEVICE IS NOT USED FOR A LONGER PERIOD IT’S RECOMMENDED TO CHARGE THE BATTERY AT LEAST EVERY THREE MONTHS.

FCC Radiation Exposure State­ment:
This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This transmit­ter must not be co-located or operating in
conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. This equipment should be installed and operated with minimum distance 20cm between the radiator& your body.
RoHS Declaration
Based on information provided by our suppliers this product meets the require­ments of RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU. The maximum concentration value of the prohibited six substances of “RoHS Directive” do not exceed the following:
– Cadmium and its compounds:
0.01% (100 ppm) by weight in homogeneous materials.
– Lead and its compounds, Mercury
and its compounds, Hexavalent chromium and its compounds, Poly Brominated biphenyls (PBB), Poly Brominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE):
0.1% (1000 ppm) by weight in homogeneous materials.
