Adjusting ISOMAX Headsets
It’s easy to adjust your ISOMAX Headset for a perfect fit.
Make only small changes to start. Bending the headset just enough to feel that you have made a slight bend will make a
substantial change in the position of the microphone. The ISOMAX Headset microphone is worn across the back of your
head, not across the top, so it does not interfere with your hair. The headband should be just long enough to fit snugly against the back of your head and hook over each ear.
You can adjust the headset to be tighter or looser on your head. It is best to adjust for a slightly loose t. The extremely light weight of the ISOMAX Headset microphone means it doesn’t need to feel tight to stay in place. It will be more comfortable
after hours of use if it is not too tight.
• First, push the spring wire part of the headband in as far as it will go.
• Then, with the spring wire slid all the
way in, straighten this bend to make the headset fit looser or bend it more to make the headset fit tighter on your head. Pull the spring wire back out and check the fit on your head.
You can bend this straight section slightly up or down so that the microphone is even with the corner of your mouth.
Bend it slightly inwards or outwards so that the mic is placed about 3/4” from the corner of your mouth.
• Avoid bending the tubing near this joint.
Cable
Whenever you adjust the length of the microphone boom, you must pull lightly on the cable where it feeds in and out of the tubular part of the headset here. The cable must snake through all the bends in the headset tubing on its way to the microphone and it can jam if it is not kept under tension.
The microphone boom should be adjusted so that the microphone itself is next to the left corner of your mouth and about 3/4 inch away. This is the optimum place for the best sound without picking up P” pops and blowing noises. To adjust the boom, push or pull on the movable front section. Push
or pull the boom, not the microphone. If you pull the boom off the headband
or the microphone out of the boom, you can slide them back together making sure that the front of the microphone (the side with the lighter color screen) is toward your mouth.
