MK50H CONTROL OPERATION
Volume Adjusts overall pre amp gain.
Overdrive Adjusts the amount of extra signal coming from the first gain stage.
This is added to the amount of pre amp gain you have set; you don’t
switch to overdrive, you add it to the pre amp gain thus having a more
extreme setting but keeping the tonal integrity.
Bass Adjusts low frequency response of the pre amp.
Middle Adjusts frequencies around 500 Hz in the mid-range.
Treble Adjusts high frequency response of pre amp.
Master 1 Sets the output level of the amplifier, generally pre-set for rhythm but
not strictly.
Master 2 Master 2 also sets output level of amp but is generally pre-set for a
different level than Master 1 so that a pre-set volume boost can be
obtained.
Presence Boosts high frequency response of the power amp only.
Resonance Boosts low frequency response of the power amp only, allowing a
tighter or looser bass response overall.
Effects loop This is a series effects loop, the send level is –6dBV. Suitable for foot
pedals and rack processors.
Speaker This can be set to accommodate 4, 8 and 16 ohm speaker loads

** Using the overdrive in and out from Master 2 to Master 1 a useful range of tones can
be obtained. Note also that turning the guitar volume down with crunchy rhythm tones
can result in some fat, clean tones.
Please note the controls are very sensitive and altering them by small degrees will give
many different sounds: don’t just try setting everything to 11.
Please set Master 1 and Master 2 to a level that is appropriate to your playing situation.
These are some settings which can be used as a guide to help you achieve your required
sounds.
