IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
FILLING WATER
1. Fill the maximum level as marked on the body of the kettle.
2. Never fill the kettle when the appliance is still connected to its power base.
3. Do not fill it above the maximum level, or below the minimum level. If the kettle is too full,
boiling water may spill out.
4. Do not use without water.
5. Ensure that the lid is properly closed before use.

BOILING WATER
1. FILLING WATER
Gently lift off the lid & fill the kettle with water. The maximum amount of water to be used
is indicated by the 1.8L level.
2. CLOSE THE LID
Ensure that the kettle’s spout is facing away from you and then close the lid.
3. PLACE KETTLE ON THE POWER BASE
Place the kettle on the power base so the element on the bottom of the kettle sits
securely on the power base.
4. POWER “ON”
Press the power “ON” switch gently pushing down until a “click” sound is heard. When
the water reaches boiling point, the kettle & indicator light will be switched “OFF”
automatically.
Ensure that the on/off button is in the “OFF” position after boiling and before removing it
from the power base.
NOTE: The kettle can be switched off at any time before the water boils simply by
lifting the kettle off the base.
5. POUR AND SERVE:
Pour water out slowly and return kettle to base after pouring.
When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be taken,
including the following:

1. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
2. To prevent fire, electric shock and injuries, DO NOT IMMERSE POWER CORD,
POWER PLUGS, POWER BASE OR KETTLE IN WATER OR OTHER LIQUIDS.
3. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. Always
keep the kettle and its power cord out of children’s reach. Warn other users, especially
children, of the possible dangers, such as escaping steam, hot water, hot lid and so
forth.
4. Unplug from power outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
5. Allow the appliance to cool down before assembling or disassembling parts, and
before cleaning.
6. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged power cord or power plug. If a
malfunction occurs, return it to the nearest authorized service center for examination,
repair or adjustment.
7. Do not allow power cord to hang over edges of table or counter, or come into contact
with hot surfaces.
8. Do not place this appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or inside a heated
oven.
9. Always fill the kettle with water first, then place the appliance onto the power base
before connecting the power plug into the power outlet. To disconnect, remove kettle
body from power base before removing the power plug from the power outlet.
10. Always remain vigilant when the appliance is on, and in particular be careful of hot
steam coming out of the spout.
11. Never touch or move the kettle when it is in operation.
12. Before pouring, wait until the kettle has stopped boiling and then pour steadily. If the
kettle is tipped too much, the lid may fall off or open.
13. WARNING: Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the boiling cycle.
