Precauciones generales de
seguridad
Mantenga estas instrucciones siempre a mano.
Deben permanecer con el aparato si se
traslada a otro lugar o cambia de dueño.
Este aparato está diseñado para almacenar
alimento y solo para uso domestico. Solo se
debe utilizar de acuerdo con estas instrucciones.
Las reparaciones de este aparato deben
realizarse solo por personal autorizado por
el fabricante. Esto incluye la reparación y
sustitución del cable de alimentación. Las
piezas y accesorios suministrados por ellos
solo se deben utilizar para reparaciones. De
otro modo se puede dañar el aparato o pueden
provocar otros daños o lesiones.
El aparato se encuentra sin alimentación
eléctrica solo cuando ha sido desconectado el
enchufe de la pared. Siempre desenchufe el
aparato antes de realizar trabajos de limpieza y
mantenimiento. (No debe tirar del cable para
desenchufarlo). Si el acceso al enchufe es
difícil, desconecte el aparato de la corriente
eléctrica.
No se debe prolongar el cable de alimentación.
No debe poner en funcionamiento el aparato si
la tapa de la luz interior.
No se debe utilizar objetos punzantes o
cortantes cuando vaya a limpiar o descongelar,
ni cuando vaya a extraer alimentos congelados
o las bandejas de cubitos. Los objetos
cortantes y/o punzante pueden dañar
seriamente su aparato.
Cuide de no verter líquidos en la caja de control
de temperatura ni sobre la lampara interior.
El hielo y los helados pueden causar daño si se
ingieren recién sacados del congelador.
Los alimentos una vez descongelados, no
deben volverse a congelar de nuevo.
Conserve los alimentos precongelados de
acuerdo con las instrucciones del fabricante de
los mismos.
No se debe forzar la descongelación mediante
aparatos calefactores o productos químicos.
No introduzca ollas calientes dentro del aparato
en contacto con las partes de plástico.
No almacene gas o líquidos inflamables dentro
del aparato, ya que pueden explotar.
No introduzca bebidas carbonatadas (con gas),
bebidas embotelladas ni tarros de fruta dentro
del compartimento del congelador.
Compruebe y limpie regularmente el desagüe del
agua de la descongelación. Si el desagüe se
obstruye la acumulación de agua de la
descongelación provocará una avería.
Precauciones para la
seguridad de los niños
No permita que los niños jueguen con los
materiales del embalaje del aparato. Los
plásticos pueden provocar asfixia.
El aparato solo debe ser manejado por
adultos. No permita que los niños jueguen
con el aparato ni con sus mandos.
Si se va a deshacer del aparato desconecte
su enchufe y corte el cable de alimentación
(tan cerca del aparato como pueda), y
desmonte la puerta para evitar que algún
niños jugando sufra una descarga eléctrica o
se quede encerrado dentro del aparato.
Precauciones de seguridad
para la instalación
Ubique el aparato contra la pared para evitar
que se alcance o toquen las partes calientes
del mismo (tales como el compresor y el
condensador). De este modo se evitarán
posibles quemaduras.
Cuando traslade el aparato compruebe que
no se encuentra enchufado.
Cuando ubique el aparato compruebe que el
cable de alimentación no quede pillado por
el mismo.
Debe existir una adecuada ventilación
alrededor del aparato. La falta de ventilación
puede provocar un sobrecalentamiento del
mismo. Para asegurar una ventilación
adecuada, siga las instrucciones de instalación.
Por la seguridad de las personas y
sus propiedades, siga
cuidadosamente las indicaciones de este
libro de instrucciones. El fabricante no se
hace responsable de los daños causados
por la omisión de estas instrucciones.

Precauciones
relacionadas al isobutano
El gas refrigerante del aparato es el
isobutano (R 600a). Dicho gas es
extremadamente explosivo e inflamable.
No debe manipular aparatos domésticos con
motor (tales como batidoras, picadoras y
fabricadores de helado) dentro del frigorífico
o cerca de sus accesos.
No debe colocar aparatos calefactores (p. ej.
un secador de cabello para acelerar la
descongelación), ni una llama directa u otra
fuente de ignición dentro del aparato o sus
accesos.
En caso de una posible emisión del gas
refrigerante, la habitación donde se
encuentre el aparato debe ser bien ventilada.

Descripción de las partes principales del aparato
Información general
La denominación oficial del aparato es; frigorífico
congelador combinado con un compresor y
congelador en la parte inferior del aparato. A
parte de los servicios generales el aparato
incorpora un congelador con su propia puerta que
esta totalmente separado del otro compartimento.
De acuerdo con esto el aparato es apto para
conservar alimentos congelados, para congelar
productos en cantidades indicadas en el libro
de instrucciones y para fabricar hielo.
El aparato puede conformarse a los
requerimientos de las normas dentro de unos
campos limite de temperatura según la clase
climática que sea.
La letra que identifica la clase climática puede
encontrarse en la placa de características.

Interruptor indicador
Utilice el interruptor indicador amarillo situado en
el panel frontal en los dos casos siguientes:
1. Pulse el interruptor cuando la temperatura
ambiente supera +16 °C (este se
desbloqueará y se ilumina). El interruptor
conecta una resistencia que asegura que se
alcance la temperatura de conservación
necesaria de -18 °C. Esto es efectivo para una
temperatura ambiente de hasta +10 °C.
2. Para alcanzar una capacidad de congelación
mas alta de 4 kg/24h a 12 kg/24h o hasta 18
kg/24h. Vea el capítulo "Congelación"
Puesta en marcha
Coloque los accesorios en su lugar dentro del
aparato y seguidamente conéctelo al enchufe de
la red eléctrica.
Para que el aparato comience a enfriar gire el
mando del termostato situado en el lado derecho
del compartimento en sentido horario desde la
posición "0". En la posición "0" el aparato se
encuentra desconectado.
El siguiente párrafo le suministra instrucciones
para el ajuste del termostato.
Manejo del aparato
Regulación de la temperatura
El termostato interrumpe el funcionamiento del
aparato automáticamente durante más o menos
tiempo dependiendo de su regulación,
comenzando de nuevo a funcionar para así
asegurar que se mantiene la temperatura
requerida.
Si gira el mando hacia los números mas altos el
frío será cada vez mas intenso.
En el compartimento de alimentos congelados se
puede conseguir temperaturas de -18 °C o
inferiores si se gira el mando del termostato a la
posición 3. En este caso la temperatura que se
alcanzará automáticamente en el compartimento
de alimentos frescos será de +5 °C o menos. La
posición 3 del termostato es generalmente la
adecuada para responder a las necesidades
diarias de conservación.
La temperatura alcanzada dentro del frigorífico es
afectada no solo por la regulación del termostato
si no también por la temperatura ambiente, la
frecuencia con que se abre la puerta y la calidad
de los alimentos introducidos en el aparato, etc.
Si regula el termostato a la posición máxima
(5) - p.ej. durante una ola de calor - el
compresor puede funcionar constantemente. Esto
no dañará al aparato.

Como utilizar el frigorífico
Para que haya una refrigeración adecuada
es necesario que haya buena circulación del
aire. Por este motivo se recomienda que no cubra
toda la superficie de la parrilla con papel,
bandejas, etc.
No introduzca alimentos calientes en el
interior del frigorífico. Permita que estos
alcancen la temperatura ambiente. De este
modo se evitará la formación de hielo en el
interior del compartimento.
Los alimentos pueden absorber y tomar
los olores unos de otros. Por lo tanto es
esencial que se introduzcan los alimentos en
recipientes cerrados o envolverlos en film de
transparente, papel de aluminio o bolsas de
plástico, antes de introducirlos en el
frigorífico. De este modo los alimentos
conservarán su humedad, p. Ej: La verdura no
se secará después de varios días en el
frigorífico.
Conservación dentro del frigorífico
Cuando coloque los distintos tipos de alimentos
tome en cuenta las distintas posiciones indicadas
en la ilustración:
1. Alimentos ya guisados, alimentos en
recipientes, carnes frescas, embutido, bebidas.
2. Leche, productos lácteos, alimentos en
recipientes.
3. Fruta, verdura, ensaladas
4. Queso, mantequilla
5. Huevos
6. Yogur, requesón
7. Botellas pequeñas, latas de refrescos
8. Botellas grandes, bebidas.
Tiempo de conservación y
temperatura de los alimentos
La tabla de tiempos de conservación al final del
libro de instrucciones le informa sobre los tiempo
adecuados de conservación.
El tiempo de conservación no se puede
determinar exactamente por adelantado, ya que
depende de la frescura y la manipulación de los
alimentos a conservar. Por este motivo los
tiempos suministrados en la tabla son
orientativos.
Si no desea consumir inmediatamente los
alimentos comprados ya congelados, estos
pueden conservarse durante aprox. 1 día hasta
que se descongelen en el frigorífico.

Como utilizar el congelador
Congelación
La congelación de distintos productos siempre se
debe realizar en el compartimento de congelación
o más bien sobre la placa del evaporador del
mismo compartimento
Dependiendo de la cantidad a congelar, el
procedimiento puede ser el siguiente:
1. Si la cantidad a congelar no supera los 4 kg.
1.1. Regule el termostato a la posición 3.
1.2. Introduzca la cantidad a congelar dentro
del compartimento congelador (máx. 4 kg).
1.3. Mantenga el aparato funcionando con este
ajuste durante 24 horas.
1.4. Después de 24 horas vuelva a regular el
mando a la posición que usted tenia
seleccionada anteriormente, o déjelo en la
posición 3 que suele ser la posición
adecuada para las necesidades diarias de
conservación. Traslade los productos
congelados al cesto (ZLKI 261) o cestos
(ZLKI 301) de conservación.
2. Si la cantidad a congelar está entre 4-12 kg o
18 kg (utilizando la capacidad máxima de
congelación).
2.1. Pulse el botón de congelación rápida,
(este sale hacia fuera y se ilumina su piloto),
e introduzca la cantidad a congelar en el
compartimento congelador (máx. 12 o 18
kg.)
2.2. Mantenga funcionando el aparato con este
ajuste durante 24 horas.
2.3. Pasadas 24 horas desconecte el
interruptor de congelación,( púlselo y su
piloto se apagará). Traslade los productos
congelados al cesto (ZLKI 261) o cestos
(ZLKI 301) de conservación.
Nunca congele a la vez cantidades de
alimentos superiores a las indicadas en la
"Placa de características", sino la congelación
no se no será profunda y al descongelar los
alimentos estos pueden sufrir distintos
deterioros (perdida de sabor y aroma etc.)
No fabrique cubitos durante el proceso de
congelación, ya que esto reduce la
capacidad de congelación.
Conservación en el congelador
Después de concluir la congelación es práctico
trasladar los alimentos a el/los cesto/s del
congelador. Al hacer esto dejamos sitio en para
una nueva congelación de alimentos. Una
congelación intermedia no deteriora los alimentos
ya conservados.
Como fabricar cubitos de hielo
Para fabricar cubitos llene con agua la cubitera
suministrada e introdúzcala en el
compartimento de alimentos congelados. Si
moja la base de la cubitera y ajusta el mando
del termostato a la posición máxima, se
acortara el tiempo de preparación. Después de
terminar los cubitos no olvide volver a regular el
mando del termostato a una posición adecuada.
Los cubitos ya preparados pueden sacarse de
la cubitera poniéndola bajo el agua corriente y
retorciéndola. Si la cubitera se congela y se
pega, evite emplear objetos cortantes tales
como cuchillos para despegarla, ya que se
puede dañar el circuito refrigerante.
No olvide respetar los tiempos de
conservación estipulados en los paquetes
de los productos congelados. Para conservar
alimentos congelados por usted en su hogar
vea las instrucciones de conservación
indicadas en la puerta del congelador. Los
símbolos indican los distintos tipos de
alimentos y los números le indican el tiempo
máximo de conservación en meses.
Es seguro conservar alimentos ya
congelados si estos no se han
descongelado ni siquiera durante un periodo
corto antes de introducirlos en el congelador. Si
un producto congelado se ha descongelado, no
se recomienda volverlo a congelar. Estos
alimentos deben consumirse lo antes posible.
Alguna información y
consejos útiles
Merece la pena prestar atención a las parrillas
regulables en altura ya que estas pueden
aumentar considerablemente el espacio
utilizable del compartimento del frigorífico.
Las parrillas se pueden cambiar de posición
con la puerta abierta en ángulo de 90°.
Después de abrir y cerrar la puerta del
congelador se producirá un efecto de vacío
haciendo difícil abrirla de nuevo. Espere de 2
a 3 minutos antes de intentar abrirla de
nuevo - de este modo dejamos tiempo para
que se iguale la presión interior.
Vigile la posición del termostato para que la
temperatura interior del congelador no baje
de -18 °C, ya que la temperaturas superiores
a esta puede deteriorar los alimentos
congelados.
Es conveniente comprobar diariamente que
el aparato funciona correctamente. De esta
manera detectaremos cualquier avería a
tiempo y así evitaremos que los alimentos
congelados se deterioren.

Consejos e ideas
En este capitulo se suministran consejos e ideas
prácticas sobre como utilizar el aparato y como
lograr el máximo ahorro de energía además de
información medioambiental del aparato.
Como ahorrar energía
Evite ubicar el aparato en lugares soleados o
cerca de fuentes de calor.
Asegúrese que el condensador y el compresor
estén bien ventilados. No cubra la sección de
ventilación.
Para evitar la formación de escarcha
innecesaria, coloque los alimentos en
recipientes bien cerrados o envuélvalos en film
transparente.
No deje la puerta abierta más tiempo que el
necesario y evite abrirla innecesariamente.
Introduzca los alimentos solo en recipientes
cerrados.
Introduzca los alimentos calientes solo
después de que estos se hayan enfriado hasta
la temperatura ambiente.
Mantenga el condensador limpio.
El aparato y el medio ambiente
Este aparato no contiene gases que puedan
dañar la capa de ozono, ni en su circuito
refrigerante ni en los materiales del aislamiento.
No debe deshacer del aparato en los lugares
urbanos destinados a la recolección de basura.
Evite dañar el circuito de refrigeración
especialmente en la parte posterior cerca del
intercambiador de calor. Puede obtener
información de los lugares destinados a la
recogida de aparatos en su ayuntamiento.
Los materiales de este aparato marcados el
símbolo son reciclables.
Mantenimiento
Descongelación
El hielo y la escarcha formada debido a la
humedad dentro del compartimento
refrigerador se elimina con el funcionamiento
normal del frigorífico.
Una capa gruesa de hielo y escarcha tiene un
efecto aislante, por lo que se reduce la eficacia
de enfriamiento. Según aumente la
temperatura será necesario más energía y
llegado a cierto grosor el hielo no permitirá que
se abra la puerta del compartimento de
alimentos congelados, pudiéndose romper la
puerta.
En éste tipo de aparato la descongelación de la
placa evaporadora del frigorífico es automática
sin ninguna intervención externa. El termostato
interrumpe el funcionamiento del compresor a
intervalos regulares durante mas o menos
tiempo - durante este periodo se detiene la
refrigeración - la temperatura de la placa
evaporadora se eleva por encima de 0 °C al
aumentar la temperatura del compartimento
refrigerador se realiza la descongelación.
Cuando la temperatura de la superficie del
evaporador alcanza +3 - +4 °C, el termostato
reinicia el funcionamiento del sistema.
El agua de la descongelación fluye a través del
canal vierte aguas y cae a la cubeta de
evaporación situada sobre el compresor donde
se evapora por el calor del propio compresor.
Compruebe y limpie regularmente el
desagüe del agua de la
descongelación. Si el desagüe se obstruye,
el agua de la descongelación acumulada
puede provocar una avería ya que puede
penetrar en el aislamiento del aparato.
Limpie el desagüe del agua de la
descongelación con el limpiador suministrado
que se observa en la ilustración. El limpiador
se debe dejar insertado en el desagüe.
El caso mas típico de obstrucción se da
cuando se introduce en el frigorífico alimentos
envueltos en algún tipo de papel, y este entra
en contacto con la placa posterior adhiriéndose
a la misma al congelarse. Si ahora se retira el
paquete el papel se rompe quedando un trozo
pegado. Este al descongelarse puede obstruir
el desagüe. Por lo mencionado debe tener
cuidado al colocar paquetes de alimentos
envueltos en el interior del aparato.

Durante los periodos en que una reducción
de temperatura sea necesaria - p.ej. olas de
calor; puede ocurrir que temporalmente el
compresor del frigorífico esté funcionando
continuamente - durante éste periodo la
descongelación automática no es efectiva.
Las pequeñas gotas de hielo y escarcha que
permanecen después de la descongelación no
son anormales.
El congelador no puede ir equipado con un
sistema de descongelación automática ya que los
alimentos congelados no deben descongelarse
hasta que vayan a ser utilizados.
Cuando se forme escarcha y hielo remuévalo con
el rascador de plástico suministrado.
La bandeja de la ilustración no es un accesorio
suministrado con el aparato.
Cuando el espesor de la capa de hielo sea tan
grande que no pueda ser removida con el
rascador, las placas evaporadoras deben ser
descongeladas (generalmente 2 o 3 veces al
año).
Saque del aparato los alimentos congelados, e
introdúzcalos en una cesta recubierta con papel o
paños. Sitúelos en un lugar fresco o trasládelos a
otro aparato.
Desconecte el enchufe de la toma de la pared,
para que así las dos secciones del aparato estén
desconectadas.
Abra las puertas de ambos compartimentos del
aparato y limpie el frigorífico según se detalla en
la sección "Limpieza regular". Limpie el
congelador según se detalla a continuación:
Retire el agua de la descongelación utilizando un
paño o esponja suave en la dirección de los
laterales de las placas evaporadoras. El agua
descongelada se acumula en la base donde se
encuentra el desagüe y puede ser removida
según se indica en la ilustración.
Desenganche el vierteaguas y dóblelo en la
dirección de la flecha. Coloque un recipiente alto
adecuado debajo del vierteaguas.
El recipiente del dibujo no es un accesorio
suministrado con el aparato.
Después de la descongelación limpie todas las
superficies con un paño, doble el vierteaguas y
colóquelo en posición.
Vuelva a enchufar el aparato y coloque de nuevo
los alimentos dentro del mismo.
Se recomienda regular el termostato a la posición
máxima durante algunas horas, para que el
aparato pueda alcanzar una temperatura de
conservación adecuada.

Limpieza regular
Es recomendable limpiar el interior del frigorífico
cada 3-4 semanas empleando agua tibia y un
paño (es practico limpiar el interior del congelador
y descongelarlo a la vez).
No se debe emplear limpiadores domestico o
jabón.
Después de desenchufar el aparato limpie el
interior con agua templada y seque las superficies
con un paño. Limpie la guarnición de la puerta
con agua limpia. Después de limpiar el aparato
vuélvalo a enchufar.
Se recomienda limpiar el polvo y suciedad
acumulada en la parte posterior del aparato y su
condensador y también limpiar la cubeta de
evaporación que está sobre el compresor una o
dos veces al año.
Cuando no se esté utilizando el
frigorífico
En caso de que no se vaya a utilizar el aparato
durante un periodo largo siga esto pasos:
Desenchufe el aparato.
Retire los alimentos del interior del frigorífico.
Descongele y límpielo según se ha indicado
anteriormente.
Deje la puerta abierta ligeramente abierta
Seguimiento de Averías
Como sustituir la bombilla
Si la bombilla no funciona puede sustituirla
siguiendo los pasos siguientes:
Desconecte el aparato.
Desenrosque el tornillo que fija la tapa de la
bombilla, seguidamente retire la tapa en la
dirección de la flecha. Ahora puede sustituir la
bombilla. (tipo de bombilla a emplear: Mignon
322, 230 V, 15 W, rosca E14).
Después de sustituir la bombilla vuelva a colocar
la tapa de la misma y enchufe de nuevo el
aparato.
El que la bombilla no se ilumine no afecta el
funcionamiento del aparato.
Si algo no funciona
Durante el funcionamiento del aparato pueden
surgir algunas averías menores pero no obstante
molestas que no requieren que llamemos a un
técnico para solucionarlas. En la siguiente tabla
se suministra información sobre éstas averías y
como solucionarlas para evitar costes de
reparación innecesarios.
Queremos indicarle que el funcionamiento normal
del aparato implica cierto grado de ruido

Limpieza
Despegue todas la cintas adhesivas que
aseguran que no se muevan las partes internas
del aparato.
Limpie el interior del aparato utilizando agua
templada y un detergente suave. Utilice un paño
suave.
Después de limpiar el aparato seque las

Transporte y desembalaje
Se recomienda entregar el aparato en su
embalaje original, en posición vertical
y siguiendo las indicaciones de seguridad
impresas en el embalaje.
Después de cada transporte el aparato no debe
ser enchufado a la red durante aproximadamente
2 horas.
Desembale el aparato y compruebe si tiene algún
daño. Informe cualquier defecto inmediatamente
al comercio donde lo compro. En este supuesto
no tire el embalaje.
Ubicación
La temperatura ambiente puede afectar el
funcionamiento adecuado del aparato y su
consumo de energía. Cuando elija la el lugar
de ubicación del aparato tenga en cuenta que
es práctico que el aparato funcione dentro de
los límites de temperatura ambiente que
correspondan a su clase climática que se
indica en la tabla de abajo. La clase climática
se encuentra en la placa de características del
aparato.

Si la temperatura ambiente baja del valor
mínimo la temperatura del compartimento
frigorífico puede superar la temperatura
prescrita.
Si la temperatura ambiente supera los datos de
arriba, esto implicará tiempos de
funcionamiento mas largos del compresor, mal
funcionamiento del aumento automático de la
temperatura de descongelación en el
compartimento refrigerador o un aumento del
consumo de energía.

Cuando ubique el aparato asegúrese que esté
bien nivelado. Esto se puede conseguir por medio
de las dos patas niveladoras (1) situadas en la
parte inferior delantera del aparato. Las piezas
1 - 1 son las arandelas distanciadoras (2) de las
patas niveladoras. Si es necesario para la
nivelación del aparato, estas arandelas se
pueden retirar.
No sitúe el aparato en un lugar muy soleado o
junto a un radiador o cocina.
Si esto es inevitable y tiene que ser situado junto
a una cocina, debido a la distribución de los
muebles, tenga en cuenta las distancias mínimas
siguientes:
En el caso de una cocina eléctrica o de gas se
debe dejar una distancia mínima de 3 cm entre
ambos aparatos. Cuando esto no sea posible
se debe poner un aislante no inflamable de por
lo menos 0,5 - 1 cm entre ambos aparatos.
En el caso de estufas de fuel o carbón la
distancia debe ser de 30 cm ya que estas
desprenden mas calor.
El frigorífico esta diseñado para funcionar
empujado totalmente contra una pared.
Cuando ubique el aparato mantenga las
distancias mínimas recomendadas en la
ilustración.

Cambio del sentido de apertura de
la puerta
Si debido al lugar de ubicación o necesidades de
manejo fuese necesario cambiar el sentido de
apertura de las puertas, estas se pueden
modificar para que abran hacia la izquierda en
lugar de hacia la derecha.
Los aparatos viene de fabrica con apertura hacia
la derecha.
En la ilustración se puede ver el aparato ZLKI 301
pero las instrucciones son idénticas para el otro
aparato (ZLKI 261).

Se deben realizar los siguientes pasos en base a
las ilustraciones y explicaciones siguientes:
Desenchufe el aparato de la red eléctrica.
Incline hacia atrás el aparato con cuidado de
que el compresor no toque el suelo. Se
recomienda que otra persona le ayude para
mantener el aparato en ésta posición de modo
seguro.
Retire con cuidado (p. ej. con un cuchillo) los
tapones de los tornillos que fijan el zócalo.
Seguidamente retire los tornillos (2 unid.) que
fijan el zócalo de ventilación.
Desmonte la bisagra inferior de la puerta del
congelador desenroscando su dos tornillo y sus
guarniciones (2 unid.).
Retire la puerta del congelador tirando
ligeramente de ella hacia abajo
Desmonte la bisagra doble intermedia por
medio de desenroscar su tornillos (2 unid.) y
sus guarniciones (2 unid.).
Retire la puerta del frigorífico tirando
ligeramente de ella hacia abajo.
Desenrosque el perno superior de la puerta del
frigorífico y vuélvalo a enroscar en el lado
contrario.
Retire los tapones de los tornillos de la bisagra
doble intermedia en el lado izquierdo del
aparato, e insértelos en los agujeros del lado
derecho.
Inserte la puerta del frigorífico en el perno
superior.
Fije la bisagra intermedia en el lado izquierdo
utilizando los tornillo (2 unid.) y las
guarniciones (2 unid.). Asegúrese que el borde
de la puerta está alineada con el borde del
mueble.
Inserte la puerta del congelador en el perno de
la bisagra intermedia.
Fije la bisagra inferior en el lado izquierdo
utilizando sus tornillo correspondiente (2 unid.)
y sus guarniciones (2 unid.). Asegúrese que el
borde de la puerta está alineada con el borde
del mueble.
Vuelva a colocar y fijar el zócalo de ventilación,
e inserte los tapones de sus dos tornillos.
Coloque el aparato en su sitio nivélelo y vuelva
a enchufarlo.
Si no desea realizar el proceso indicado
anteriormente, llame a centro de servicio técnico
mas cercano. Un técnico realizará la operación de
modo experto cobrando un cargo por ello.

Conexión Eléctrica
Este frigorífico esta diseñado para funcionar
con un suministro eléctrico de 230 V AC (~)
50 Hz.
El enchufe debe ser insertado en un enchufe
hembra con contactos protegidos. Si no
dispone de uno así, se recomienda que un
electricista le instale uno con toma a tierra
cerca del aparato que se conforme a las

General safety precautions
Keep these instructions and they should remain at
the appliance when moving away or changing
owner.
This appliance is designed for storing food,
domestic use according to these instructions only.
Specialised companies that are qualified to do
so by the manufacturer must carry out service
and repairs including repairing and changing
the power cord. Accessory parts supplied by
them should be used only for repairing. Otherwise
the appliance can be damaged or can cause other
damage or injury.
The appliance is out of circuit only in that case if the
plug is removed from the socket. Before cleaning

immediately after removal from the frozen food
compartment.
After dissolving frozen food must not be refrozen, it
must be used up as soon as possible.
Store pre-packed frozen food in accordance with
the frozen food manufacturer's instructions.
You must not make defrosting faster with any
electric heating appliance or chemicals.
Do not put hot pot to the plastic parts.
Do not store flammable gas and liquid in the
appliance, because they may explode.
Do not store carbonated drinks, bottled drinks and
bottled fruits in the frozen food compartment.
Check and clean the outlet of melting water coming
during defrosting regularly - a label inside the
appliance warns you for this. If it is clogged the
melting water gathered can cause earlier failure.
Precautions for child safety
Do not allow children to play with the packaging
of the appliance. Plastic foil can cause
suffocation.
Adults must handle the appliance. Do not allow
children to play with it or its controlling parts.
If you are discarding the appliance pull the plug
out of the socket, cut the connection cable (as
close to the appliance as you can) and remove
the door to prevent playing children to suffer
electric shock or to close themselves into it.
Safety precautions for

Put the appliance to the wall to avoid touching or
catching warm parts (compressor, condenser)
to prevent possible burn.

Warning
The refrigerant of the appliance is isobutane
(R600a) that is inflammable and explosive to a
greater extent.
Keep ventilation openings, in the appliance
enclosure or in the built-in structure, clear of
obstruction.
Do not use mechanical devices or other means
to accelerate the defrosting process, other than
those recommended by the manufacturer.
Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
Do not use electrical appliances inside the food
storage compartments of the appliance, unless

General information
The official designation of the appliance is
'refrigerator-freezer combination with one motor
compressor and freezer placed in the lower part'. The
appliance has -besides the general services- a freezer
with its own door and is completely separated from the
other unit.
According to this the appliance is suitable for storing
frozen and deep-frozen food, freezing products in
quantity given in the user's instructions at home
and making ice.
The appliance can meet the requirements of
standards between different temperature limits
according to the climate class.

Indicating switch
To use the yellow indicating switch placed in the
cover frame can be necessary in two cases:
1. Push the switch (it will move outwards and the
indicator lamp will give light) when the ambient
temperature goes beyond +16 °C. The switch
operates a heater, which ensures that the
necessary -18 °C storing temperature can be
used. This is effective to an ambient
temperature limit of +10 °C.
2. To reach higher freezing capacity from
3 kg/24h, 12 kg/24h to 18 kg/24h see chapter
Freezing.
Handling the appliance
Putting it into use
Place the accessories into the appliance then plug to
the mains socket.
To start cooling turn the thermostatic control knob on
the right-hand side of the compartment from 0
clockwise. In 0 position the appliance is out of
operation.
The next paragraph will give instructions for setting.
Controlling the temperature, setting
The thermostatic controller interrupts the operation of
the appliance automatically for more or less time
depending on the setting then restarts it assuring the
required temperature.
Turning the control button towards the bigger numbers
cooling becomes more and more intensive.
In the frozen food compartment -18°C or lower
temperature can be reached if the knob of the
thermostatic control is set to 3. In this case the
temperature starting automatically in the fresh food
compartment is about +5 °C or below. The 3 position
generally meets the requirements of everyday cooling.
The temperature coming about in the refrigerator is
effected by not only the position of the thermostatic
control but the ambient temperature, frequency of
door openings and the quantity of food put into it
newly, etc.
In the maximum i.e. 5 position - in case of
increased demand e.g. during heatwaves without disconnecting continuous operation can
occur. This does not cause damages to the appliance.

Storing in the refrigerator
When placing the different kinds of food take into
consideration the sketch below in figure:
1. Confectionery, ready-cooked foods, foods in
dishes, fresh meat, cold cuts, drinks

Storage time and temperature of
foods
The storage time chart at the end of the instruction
book gives information about storage time.
The storage time can not be determined exactly in
advance, as it depends on the freshness and handling
of the cooled food. That is why the storage time made
known is only informative.
If you do not want to use up deep-frozen foods bought
immediately they can be stored for about 1 day (until
dissolving) in the refrigerator.
How to use the refrigerator
For adequate cooling developing interior air
circulation is necessary. For this reason you are
asked not to cover the whole surface of the wire
shelves with paper, trays, etc.
Do not put hot food into the refrigerator.
Allow it to reach room temperature naturally.
In this way the unnecessary frost building up can
be avoided.
Foods can take over odours from each
other. So it is essential to put foods in closed
dishes or wrap them in cellophane, aluminium
foil, grease-proof paper or cling film before
placing them into the refrigerator. This way foods
will keep their moisture e.g. vegetables will not
dry out after some days.

How to make ice cubes
To make ice cubes fill the enclosed ice cube tray
with water and put it to the frozen food
compartment. Wetting the bottom of the tray and
setting thermostatic control knob to maximum
position can shorten preparing time. After finishing
do not forget to reset the thermostatic control to the
suitable position.
Ready ice cubes can be taken out of the tray under
running water then twist or hit it. If the ice tray
freezes to the compartment, avoid using metal
tools or knife to take it out as the cooling system
can be damaged.
Freezing
Freezing different products should always be done in
the freezing compartment or rather on its cooling plate
after proper preparing.
Depending on quantity to be frozen the freezing
procedure can be the following:
1. If the quantity to be frozen is not more than 3 kg
1.1. Set the thermostat knob to position 3.
1.2. Put the quantity to be frozen into the freezing
compartment (max. 3 kg).
1.3. Operate the appliance in this position for 24
hours.
1.4. After 24 hours reset the thermostatic knob to
a position adequate for you or leave it in
position 3, which generally meets the
requirements of everyday cooling. Replace
the frozen products into the wire basket (ZLKI
261) or baskets (ZLKI 301) in the storing
compartment.
2. If the quantity to be frozen is between 3-12 and
18 kg (using maximum freezing capacity)
2.1. Push the indicating switch (it moves outwards
and the indicator lamp gives light) and put the
quantity to be frozen into the freezing
compartment (max. 12 or 18 kg).
2.2. Operate the appliance in this position for
24 hours.
2.3. After 24 hours turn off the indicating switch
(push it and the lamp will go out) and replace

Never freeze food in bigger quantity than
given in the 'Technical data' at the same
time, otherwise freezing will not be thorough and
after dissolving various deterioration may take
place (losing taste and aroma, lysing, etc.).
Do not make ice during freezing preferably,
because making ice reduces freezing capacity.
Storing in the freezer
It is practical to replace frozen products into the wire
basket(s) after freezing has finished. Doing this you
could make room in the freezing compartment for
another freezing. Intermediate freezing does not
deteriorate foods already stored.
Do not forget to keep to the storage time given
on the packaging of frozen products if you buy
them frozen. To store home-frozen products see the
storing instructions placed in the door of the freezer.
Symbols signify the various foods, numbers mean
maximum storing time given in months.

The variable shelves are worth paying attention
to, which increases the usability of the fresh food
compartment considerably. Rearranging the
shelves is also possible when the door is open at
an angle of 90°.
After opening and closing the door of freezer
vacuum will rise inside the appliance because of
the low temperature. So wait 2-3 minutes after
closing the door - if you want to open it again while inner pressure equalises.
Take care of operating the freezer at a position of
thermostatic control so that the inside
temperature can never go above -18 °C, since
temperature higher than this can deteriorate
frozen foods.
It is practical to make sure of faultless operation
of the appliance daily so as to notice possible
failure in time and prevent deterioration of frozen
foods.
It is safe to store quick-frozen, frozen foods
only if they have not dissolved even for a short
time until placing them into the freezer. If the deepfrozen food has already dissolved, refreezing is not
recommended, it has to be used up as soon as
possible.

How to save energy
Avoid putting the appliance in a sunny place and
near anything that gives off heat.
Be sure that the condenser and the compressor
are well ventilated. Do not cover the sections where
ventilation is.
Wrap products in tightly closing dishes or cling film

about how to use the appliance to reach maximum
energy saving and there is environmental information
about the appliance as well.
Defrosting
Bleeding part of the moisture of cooling chambers
in form of frost and ice goes with the operation of
the appliance.
Thick frost and ice has an insulating effect, so it
reduces cooling efficiency as the temperature
increases in the cooling chambers, they need more
energy, at a certain thickness it does not allow the
door of the freezing compartment to open.
At this type of appliance defrosting the cooling
plate of the refrigerator is automatic without any
external intervention.The thermostatic control
interrupts the operation of compressor at regular
intervals for more or less time during this cooling is
interrupted the temperature of the cooling plate
goes above 0 °C due to interior heating load of the
compartment, so defrosting occurs. When the
surface temperature of the cooling plate has
reached +3 - +4 °C the thermostatic control
restarts operation of the system.
Melting water flows through defrost water outlet
leaded through the back into the evaporative tray
maintained on the top of compressor and
evaporates due to its warmth.
Check and clean the outlet of melting
water coming during defrosting
regularly a label inside the appliance warns
you for this. If it is clogged the melting water
gathered can cause earlier failure as it can go
to the insulating of the appliance.
Clean the melting water outlet with the supplied
pipe scraper that can be seen in the figure. The
pipe scraper has to be stored in the outlet.
The most typical case of clogging up in the melting
water outlet when you put food wrapped in some
paper into the appliance and this paper contacts
back plate of the refrigerator and freezes to it. If you
remove the food right at this moment the paper will
tear and it can cause clogging up in the outlet by
getting into it. So you are asked to be careful because of the above - when placing foods
wrapped in paper into the appliance.

In case of increased demand e.g. during
heatwaves, the refrigerator temporarily happens
to operate constantly during this the automatic
defrosting is ineffective.
Remaining small ice and frost stains on back plate of
the refrigerator after defrosting period is not abnormal.
The freezer can not be equipped with automatic
defrosting set since the deep-frozen and frozen foods
do not endure melting temperature.
When small frost and ice occurs scrape off and
remove frost and ice coating with the supplied plastic
scraper.
The tray in figure is not a piece of accessories to the
appliance!
When ice coating is so thick that it can not be removed
with the plastic scraper, the cooling plates have to be
defrosted. Frequency of defrosting depends on usage
(generally 2-3 times a year).
Take the frozen foods out of the appliance, and put
them into a basket lined with paper or cloth. Store
them in a possibly cool place or replace them into
another refrigerator.
Pull out the mains plug from the mains socket, so both
parts of the appliance are out of operation.
Open the doors of both parts of the appliance and
clean the refrigerator according to 'Regular cleaning'.
Maintain and clean the freezer as following:
Sweep off the melting water with a cloth or sponge in
direction of sides of the cooling plates. The melting
water swept down gathers in the outlet channel
practically formed in the bottom of the appliance and
can be removed according to figure.
Put an adequately high bowl or dish under the outlet.
The bowl in figure is not a piece of accessories to the
appliance!
Wipe the surfaces after defrosting and leading the
water out.
Put the mains plug into the mains socket and put
foods taken out back to their places.
It is recommended to operate the appliance at the
highest position of the thermostatic control for some
hours so that it can reach the sufficient storing
temperature as soon as possible.

Regular cleaning
It is recommended to wash the inside of the refrigerator
in 3-4 weeks time using lukewarm water then wipe it (it is
practical to clean the inside of the freezer and defrost it at
a time).
Household cleaner or soap must not be used.
After breaking the circuit wash the appliance with
lukewarm water then wipe it. Clean the door gasket with
clean water. After cleaning apply voltage to the appliance.
It is recommended to remove the dust and dirt collected
on the back of the refrigerator and the condenser and to
clean the evaporative tray on top of the compressor once
or twice a year.
When the refrigerator
is not in use
In case the appliance will not be used for a long time
follow these steps:
Break the circuit of the appliance.
Remove foods from the refrigerator.
Defrost and clean it as written before.
Leave the door open to avoid a build up of air inside.
Trouble shooting
How to change the bulb
Should the light fail to work you can change it as below:
Break the circuit of the appliance.
Unscrew the plate screw fixing the lamp cover, then
take the lamp cover off in the direction of arrow and the
bulb can be changed. (Type of the bulb: Mignon 322,
230 V, 15 W, E 14 thread)
After changing bulb replace the lamp cover, screw the
plate screw and apply voltage to the appliance.
The lack of light does not influence operation of the
refrigerator.
If something does not work
During operation of the appliance some smaller but
annoying trouble can often occur, which does not
require calling a technician out. In the following chart
information is given about them to avoid unnecessary
charges on service.
We draw your attention that operation of appliance goes
with certain sounds (compressor- and circulating
sound). This is not trouble, but means normal
operation.
We draw it to your attention again that the
appliance operates discontinuously, so the
stopping of compressor does not mean being nocurrent. That is why you must not touch the electrical
parts of the appliance before breaking the circuit.

Installing the appliance
Transportation, unpacking
It is recommended to deliver the appliance in
original packaging, in vertical position
considering the protective warning on packaging.
After each transportation the appliance must not be
switched on for approx. 2 hours.
Unpack the appliance and check if there are damages
on it. Report possible damages immediately to the
place you bought it. In that case retain packaging.
Cleaning
Remove every adhesive tape, which ensure the parts
not to move in the appliance.
Wash the inside of the appliance using lukewarm
water and mild detergent. Use soft cloth.
After cleaning wipe out the inside of the appliance.
Placement
The ambient temperature has an effect on the
energy consumption and proper operation of the
appliance. When placing, take into consideration
that it is practical to operate the appliance between
ambient temperature limits according to the climate
class that is given in the chart below and can be
found in the data label.

When placing the appliance ensure that it stands level.
This can be achieved by two adjustable feet (1) at the
bottom in front. 1-1 piece of distance washer (2) are
accessories of the adjustable feet. If levelling the
appliance requires, these washers can be removed.
Do not stand the appliance on a sunny place or close
to a radiator or cooker.
If it is unavoidable because of furnishing and the
appliance has to be stood near a cooker take these
minimum distances into consideration:
In case of gas or electric cooker 3 cm must be left,
when it is less put a 0,5-1 cm non-flam insulation
between the two appliances.
In case of oil or coal-fired stove the distance must
be 30 cms since they give off more heat.
The refrigerator is designed to operate when it is
totally pushed to the wall.
When placing the refrigerator keep minimal
distances recommended in figure.

Change of door opening direction
Should the setting-up place or handling demand it,
door-opening direction can be refitted from righthanded to left-handed.
Appliances on the market are right-handed.

Following operations are to be done on the basis of
figures and explanations:
Break the circuit of the appliance.
Tilt back the appliance carefully being careful so
that the compressor cannot touch the floor. It is
recommended to ask another person for help, who
can keep the appliance at this position safely.
Remove carefully (e.g. with a knife) the covering
nails of screws fixing the bottom cover grid, then
the cover grid can be removed by unscrewing the
plate-screws (2 pieces).
Dismount the bottom door holder of the freezer by
removing the screws (2 pieces) and the fill plates
(2 pieces).
Take off the door of the freezer by pulling it slightly
downwards.
Dismount the double door holder by removing the
screws (2 pieces) and the fill plates (2 pieces).
Take off the door of the refrigerator by pulling it
slightly downwards.
Unscrew the top door holding pin of the
refrigerator, then screw it back on the other side.
Remove the covering nails of the double door
holder on the left side and put them to the other
side.
Fit the door of the refrigerator to the top door
holding pin.
Fix the double door holder onto the left side using
the screws (2 pieces) and fill plates (2 pieces). Be
careful that the door edge of the refrigerator is
parallel with the edge of the mantle.
Fit the door of the freezer to the double door
holding pin.
Fix the bottom door holder onto the left side using
the screws (2 pieces) and fill plates (2 pieces). Be
careful that the door edge of the freezer is parallel
with the edge of the mantle.
Pull out the cover element of the cover grid in the
direction of arrow (1) and place it and contrary side
(2).
Put the cover grid back and fix it with the platescrews (2 pieces), then put the covering nails back.
Put the appliance to its place, set it level and apply
voltage to it.
In case you do not want to perform the procedures
above, call the nearest brand-mark service.
Technicians will accomplish the refitting expertly for
charge.
Electrical connection
This refrigerator is designed to operate on a
230 V AC (~) 50 Hz supply.
The plug must be put into a socket with protective
contact. If there is no such, it is recommended to
get an electrician to fit an earthed socket in
compliance with standards near the refrigerator.
