Astrid Bed -assembly instructions

Headboard Assembly

Bed Deck x2

Your Astrid bed is delivered in either two or three boxes depending on whether you have ordered a bed with

headboard or platform bed. Unpack the bed parts onto a soft, level surface in a space near where the bed is to be used.

Tools required for assembly - Allen wrench (included) and Phillips head screw driver.

Base Assembly x2

Step 1

1 3/4” Pan Head Screw x2

Attach a center support leg to each of the base assemblies
using one 1 3/4” pan head screw per leg.

Step 2

Joining Plate x2

1 1/2” Allen Bolt x36

Adjustable Feet

Attach the base assemblies with the two joining plates and four 1 1/2” Allen bolts per each plate using the provided

Allen wrench. Hint - use the adjustable feet on the center support legs to align the height of the two base units. After

the base units are joined, retract the adjustable feet slightly so that they only make contact with the floor when weight is
applied to the fully assembled bed.

Step 3

Position the two deck assemblies on top of the

base, aligning the hole patterns of the deck with

those of the base.

Note - the base assembly has no specific headboard

or footboard ends.

Step 4

If you have purchased an Astrid platform bed with no headboard, assembly is complete. If your bed includes a

headboard then proceed to step five.

• Insert the 2” Allen bolts in each of the eight
corner locations. Do not fully tighten bolts.

• Insert the 28 remaining 1 1/2” Allen Bolts in the
remaining locations. Again, do not fully tighten.

• After all bolts have been started use the Allen
wrench to fully tighten all 36 locations.

Note: wood is a natural material and prone to slight
movements over time. Certain parts may require some
minor flexing to begin the bolts. This is normal and to
be expected.
