Switching and starting
Position the 2-point safety switch onto the upper handle locate the the two screws, and tighten (fig. 6). To ensure that the machine does not start up unexpectedly, the 2-point switch is fitted with a safety switch (fig. 6A). This must be pressed before the switch lever (fig. 6B) can be moved. When the switch lever is released, the safety pressure switch is released and the motor switches off. Ensure that the extension cable is not within reach of the snow blade and that it is connected correctly through the hanger (fig. 5, 6).
Maintenance and Storage
To prevent injury, before all maintenance and cleaning work: Switch off motor. Wait until all moving parts are stationary. Unplug from the mains. Allow the motor to cool off (about 30 minutes). Do not hose the machine with water as this could damage electrical
components. When the machine remains unused for longer than one month, e.g.
after the end of the season, it is advisable to clean the machine before storage, remove all loose dirt, clean all plastic surfaces with a damp cloth and allow to dry.
Protect metal parts by wiping them with an oily rag or spraying with oil.
Store the machine in a clean and dry place.

If you cut through the cable when working, there is a danger of electrocution. Stop using the machine immediately, disconnect from the power supply and arrange for the cable to be replaced by an authorised service centre.

Assembly and Handling
Assembling the components For transport some of the rotary snowplough
components are packed separately. The screws, finger screws, cable clips and a screwdriver
are packed in a separate plastic bag. Assembly is simple when you observe the following instructions.
Ejection Chute
Remove the machine and all separate components from the carton. Remove all 4 screws on the front deck and remove the front cover
(fig. 2). Position the ejection chute into the front opening of the deck. Refix the front cover back on the deck using the 4 screws and tighten
them in order. Ensure that the ejection chute is secure and can rotate through 180°. Finally assemble the upper direction flap to the ejection chute using
the 2 wing nuts provided.
Handle
Ensure the lower handle is passed through the end of the chute direction rod.
Push both ends of the lower handle into the openings on the top of the motor case, make sure the catches lock into place (fig. 3).
Thread the upper handle through the top hole in the cable holder (fig. 4).
Connect both halves of the handle and fasten them tightly using the finger screws provided.
Plastic batton is used to free clumped and jammed ice pieces from the ejection chute. Always switch off the snowplough first and unplug from the power supply, before use.
General Safety Instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and observe the warning information before, during and after using the machine. Keep the machine in a good clean condition. Familiarise yourself with the operating components of the machine before using it for the first time. Above all you must know how to switch off the machine in an emergency. Take care of these operating instructions and all other documents relating to the machine.
Safety Precautions and Operation
• This machine is to be used exclusively for clearing snow from surfaced paths and the grounds of houses and leisure areas in accordance with the descriptions given in these operating and safety instructions.
• It is not to be used to clear any other material.
• The user may liable for any damage to a third party or the property of a third party caused by the operation of the machine.
• As the machine user you should read these operating instructions with care before using the machine for the first time. Work according to them and take care of them for later reference.
• Be thoroughly familiar with the controls and the proper use of the equipment. Know how the unit and disengage the controls quickly.
• The machine must not be operated by persons under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication.
• Never allow adults to operate the equipment without proper instruction.
• Do not permit any person under the age of 16 to use this machine.
• Keep persons, in particular children and pets away from the machine and operating area.
• Keep hands and feet away from rotating parts.
• Keep clear of the discharge opening at all times.
• Exercise extreme caution when operation on or crossing gravel drives, walks, or roads, stay alert for hidden hazards or traffic.
• Never operate the machine indoors but always only in the open. Overbuilt and high-walled paths may only be cleared when safe operation is possible.
• Pay particular attention to windows and persons in the proximity in order to prevent injury to persons and damage to property.
• Never direct the machine towards persons.
• Do not use the snowplough near glass, motor vehicles, windows etc. without correctly adjusting the angle of the snow ejector to prevent possible damage.
• When in use or for maintenance always wear gloves, safety glasses, tight-fitting winter clothes and strong shoes with profiled soles.
• Never allow long hair or loose clothing near moving machine parts.
• Use the machine only where there is sufficient natural light.
• Always hold the machine and the handles firmly.
• Walk slowly forward following a straight line where possible, always ensure that the ejection chute is pointing in a safe direction when you turn.
• Work slowly and carefully, particularly when changing direction. Direct the machine against the gradient or with the gradient, but not across it. Watch out for hindrances, do not work near hilly terrain. Never use the machine on slopes with a gradient more than 20%.
• Never run with the machine.
• Use the machine only for light, loose snow (new snow) up to a maximum depth of about 20 cm.
• Do not attempt to try and clear frozen compacted snow and ice.
• Allow the motor to cool down before storing in dry frost free shed or garage.
• If a foreign object is pulled into the appliance, stop the engine and unplug from the mains.Thoroughly inspect the snow thrower for any damage, clear any blockage and if no damage caused restart and operate the snow blower.
• If the unit should start to vibrate abnormally. Stop the engine and check immediately for the cause. Vibration is generally a warning of trouble.
• Stop the engine and unplug when leaving unattended, before unclogging/impeller housing or discharge chute, and when making any repairs, adjustments, or inspections.
• When cleaning, repairing, or inspecting, make certain the collector/impeller and all moving parts have stopped.
• Do not use the machine if any part is damaged, return to an authorised repair agent for repair/replacement.
• Use only original parts from the manufacturer.
• Servicing and repairs must be undertaken by an authorised service agent.
Area Preparation
Thoroughly inspect the area where the equipment is to be used and remove all doormats, sleds, boards, wires, and other foreign objects.
Do not use on gravel or crushed rock surface.
Electrical Safety
• Always use an RCD adapter when operating electrical machinery outdoors.
• Use only rubber cables supplied.
• Before use, check each time whether the cables are damaged, brittle or showing signs of wear, do not use if any damage is evident, arrange for the cable to be replaced by an authorised service centre.
• Untangle cables before use.
• Ensure cables are out of the working path, and there is no possibility that the machine can run over a cable, this is especially important to note when turning around.
• Switch off the motor, unplug from the power supply when you o are not using the machine o you leave the machine unattended or o you do any adjustments, maintenance, cleaning or repair
work.
