NOTE: This fixture was designed to work with up to 150 watt maximum PAR halogen flood
bulbs. For improved energy efficiency, lower wattage PAR halogen flood bulbs may be used.
Compact Fluorescent (CFL) bulbs contain electronics which may interfere with the motion
sensing function of your fixture and are not recommended.
HOW IT WORKS
Your motion activated floodlight senses heat images from
objects such as people, large animals and automobile engines.
When motion is detected, the lights will automatically turn
on. Once motion has stopped, the lights will turn off after a
preselected time delay. Your motion activated floodlight may
also be used as a standard floodlight.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using product, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:

• Save these instructions and warnings.
• For outdoor use only.
• cULus LISTED for wet location.
• Disassembly of your fixture will void the warranty.
• Your fixture is prewired and preassembled for easy installation.

• Read and follow these instructions.
• To reduce the risk of a burn during relamping, disconnect power supply to the unit
before relamping.
• Always use or replace bulb with the same wattage or lower wattage than
required. Installing a bulb of a higher wattage could create a fire hazard and will
void the warranty.
CAUTION
• Connect fixture to a 120 volt, 60 Hz power source. Any other connection voids
the warranty.
• Mount fixture to a grounded, recessed-mounted standard junction box marked for use
in wet locations.

qualified electrician. The electrical system, and the method of electrically connecting

• For proper operation and protection against damage, the motion sensor head
adjustment knobs must be facing the ground.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
FOR BEST RESULTS
• Install the motion sensor/transmitter 8-12 feet
above the ground. (Motion sensor is less sensitive
above 12 feet.)
• Locate motion sensor so motion moves across
detection zone (Fig. 1).
• Locate sensor away from heat producing sources to
prevent false triggering. Also be very careful not to
include objects such as windows, white walls and
water in the detection zone.
• Locate sensor away from moving objects such as
trees, large shrubs and street traffic.
• Do not install more than one motion activated
floodlight on one wall switch or the same circuit since
this may cause interference between fixtures.
MOUNTING AND WIRING YOUR FIXTURE
WARNING: Risk of electric shock. Disconnect
power at fuse or circuit breaker before installing
or servicing.
NOTE: Fixture can be wall or eave mounted.
NOTE: Coverplate mounts to recessed mounted
standard junction boxes (Fig. 2). Junction box must be
at least 1-1/2 inch in depth for proper installation for
recessed mount application.
1. Turn off power at main fuse/breaker box.
2. Match up screw holes on the floodlight coverplate
with the junction box screw holes.
3. Thread fixture wires through coverplate
gasket (B) (Fig. 3).
4. Connect fixture black wire to house black wire
and connect fixture white wire to house white wire
using wire nuts (E) provided (Fig. 3). (No ground

wire is required. Attach any ground wire from your
house to junction box.)
5. Attach fixture (A) to the junction box with two
mounting screws (D) provided.
6. Apply silicone caulk around the edges of the
coverplate to provide a watertight seal from rain
and moisture.
7. Insert lampholder gaskets (C) into lampholder
assembly, tightly against lampholder, and screw
bulbs into each lampholder (Fig. 3). (Do not
overtighten bulbs.)
8. Turn power on at main fuse/breaker box.
9. Aim sensor head in desired position.
NOTE: Maintain air spacing between lamps and
sensor head, at least 1 inch. Make sure sensor
head is positioned with control switches facing
towards the ground.
OPERATING YOUR FIXTURE

1. Rotate the knob on bottom of the sensor to “Test”
(Fig. 4).
2. Turn on fixture at wall switch. Allow fixture to warm
up approximately 1 minute before testing. (Light will
come on and stay on during warm-up period.)
3. Readjust sensor head up, down, left, or right until
desired detection area is achieved.
NOTE: Make sure you stand motionless while you wait
for the lights to turn off; otherwise the motion sensor
will keep the light fixture on.
5. Once the light fixture goes off, move the time
adjustment controls to the desired length of time.
The floodlight will remain on after the last motion is
detected (5 seconds to 12 minutes) (Fig. 4).

TEST FOR YOURSELF.
• Cover the sensor lens with cardboard to prevent sensor from
detecting motion and cover the photocell on the bottom of the
sensor head. If the light stays off, something in the detection
zone is triggering the sensor.
• Reposition the sensor.
* If the light stays on with the sensor lens covered, contact
customer service.
There is motion in the detection zone.
• Make sure the sensor is not in Manual Override Mode.
• Make sure the sensor is not picking up moving objects such as

The light given from the unit’s own lamp is affecting the photo

a period of two years from the date of purchase, Eaton’s Cooper Lighting Business (“Eaton’s
Cooper Lighting”) products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship. The
obligation of Eaton’s Cooper Lighting Business (“Eaton’s Cooper Lighting”) under this warranty
is expressly limited to the provision of replacement products. This warranty is extended only
to the original purchaser of the product. A purchaser’s receipt or other proof of date of original
purchase acceptable to Eaton’s Cooper Lighting Business (“Eaton’s Cooper Lighting”). This
is required before warranty performance shall be rendered. This warranty does not apply
to Eaton’s Cooper Lighting Business (“Eaton’s Cooper Lighting”) products that have been
altered or repaired that have been subjected to neglect, abuse, misuse or accident (including
shipping damages). This warranty does not apply to products not manufactured by Eaton’s
Cooper Lighting Business (“Eaton’s Cooper Lighting”) which have been supplied, installed,
and/or used in conjunction with Eaton’s Cooper Lighting Business (“Eaton’s Cooper Lighting”)
products. Damage to the product caused by replacement bulbs or corrosion or discoloration of
brass components are not covered by this warranty.

All returned products must be accompanied by a Return Goods Authorization Number issued
by the Company and must be returned freight prepaid. Any product received without a Return
Goods Authorization Number from the Company will be refused. Eaton’s Cooper Lighting
Business (“Eaton’s Cooper Lighting”) is not responsible for merchandise damaged in transit.
Repaired or replaced products shall be subject to the terms of this warranty and are inspected
when packed. Evident or concealed damage that is made in transit should be reported at once
to the carrier making the delivery and a claim filed with them.

La lámpara de alta intensidad activada por movimiento

PARA OBTENER LOS MEJORES RESULTADOS
• Instale el sensor de movimiento / transmisor a
2,45 –3,65 m (8 – 12 pies) de altura sobre el suelo
(por encima de 3,65 m/12 pies, el sensor de
movimiento es menos sensible).
• Coloque el portalámparas de manera que se mueva
por toda la zona de detección (Fig. 1).
• Coloque el sensor lejos de fuentes que produzcan
calor, a fin de evitar falsos disparos. Además, medida
de lo posible, tenga mucho cuidado de no incluir
objetos tales como ventanas, paredes blancas y
agua, en la zona de detección.

• Coloque el sensor lejos de objetos móviles, como por
ejemplo árboles, arbustos grandes y tráfico callejero.
• No instale más de una lámpara de alta intensidad
activada por movimiento en un mismo interruptor de
pared o circuito, ya que esto puede crear interferencia
entre los accesorios.
MONTAJE Y CABLEADO DEL ACCESORIO
ADVERTENCIA: Riesgo de choque eléctrico.
Antes de la instalación o reparación, desconecte
la alimentación eléctrica en el fusible o
interrupto automático.
NOTA: El accesorio puede ser montado en la pared
o el alero.
NOTA: La placa de cubierta se adapta a las cajas
eléctricas empotradas (Fig. 2). La caja eléctrica
debe tener una profundidad mínima de 3,81 cm
(1-1/2 in.) para asegurar una instalación adecuada
en aplicaciones empotradas.
1. Apague la electricidad desde la caja de fusibles/
interruptores automáticos principal.
2. Haga que agujeros de los tornillos de la placa de
la cubierta del portalámparas coincidan con los
agujeros de los tornillos de la caja de empalmes.
3. Pase los cables del portalámparas a través de la
junta de la placa de cubierta (B) (Fig. 3).
4. Conecte el cable negro del accesorio al cable negro
de la caja y el cable blanco del accesorio al cable
blanco de la caja utilizando las tuercas para
alambre proporcionadas (Fig. 3). (No se requiere un
cable de toma a tierra. Una cualquier cable de toma
a tierra de su casa a la caja de empalmes.)
5. Sujete el portalámparas a la caja de empalmes con
los dos tornillos adjuntos.
6. Aplique calafateo de silicona alrededor de los
bordes de la placa de cubierta a fin de proveer un
cierre que sea estanco para la lluvia y la humedad.
7. Inserte juntas (C) en el conjunto del portalámparas,
firmemente contra el portalámparas, y enrosque
las lámparas en cada portalámparas (Fig. 3). (No
apriete demasiado los focos.)
8. Encienda la electricidad desde la caja de fusibles/
interruptores automáticos.
9. Oriente el cabezal sensor en la posición deseada.
NOTA: Deje un espacio de aire de por lo menos 2,54 cm
(1 pulg.) entre las lámparas y el sensor. Asegúrese
de que la cabeza del sensor esté colocada con los
interruptores de control en dirección al piso.
OPERACIÓN DEL ACCESORIO
1. Gire la perilla, ubicada en la parte trasera del sensor,
a la posición “Test” (Fig. 4).
2. Encienda el accesorio. Permita que la lámpara se
caliente durante aproximadamente 1 minuto antes
de probar. (La lámpara se encenderá y permanecerá
encendida durante el período de calentamiento).
3. Ajuste la sensibilidad hasta obtener los resultados
deseados. Para un alcance mayor, apunte el sensor
ligeramente hacia arriba. Para un alcance menor,
apunte el sensor ligeramente hacia abajo.
NOTA: Asegúrese de no moverse mientras espera a
que se apaguen las luces, de lo contrario el sensor de
movimiento mantendrá encendida la lámpara.
5. Una vez que se apague la luz, mueva los controles
de ajuste a la cantidad de tiempo de espera
deseada. El reflector per manecerá encendido
después que se detecta el último movimiento
(5 segundos a 12 minutos) (Fig. 4).

Esta garantía se extiende sólo para el comprador original del producto. Un recibo del comprador u otra prueba de la fecha de compra original aceptable para Eaton’s Cooper Lighting
Business (“Eaton’s Cooper Lighting”). Esto es necesario para la ejecución de la garantía. Esta
garantía no se aplica a los productos de Eaton’s Cooper Lighting Business (“Eaton’s Cooper
Lighting”) que hayan sido alterados o reparadoso que estuvieron sujetos a negligencia, abuso,
mal uso o accidente (incluso los daños durante el envío). Esta garantía no se aplica a los
productos Eaton’s Cooper Lighting Business (“Eaton’s Cooper Lighting”) no fabricados por
Eaton’s Cooper Lighting Business que hayan sido suministrados, instalados o utilizados junto
con los productos Eaton’s Cooper Lighting Business (“Eaton’s Cooper Lighting”). Los daños del
producto causados por bombillas de reemplazo, corrosión o decoloración de los componentes
de latón no están cubiertos por esta garantía.
LIMITACIÓN DE RESPONSABILIDAD:
EATON’S COOPER LIGHTING BUSINESS (“EATON’S COOPER LIGHTING”) NO SERÁ
RESPONSABLE LEGAL EN NINGÚN CASO DE DAÑOS INDIRECTOS, ACCIDENTALES O RESULTANTES.(SIN IMPORTAR LA ACCIÓN LEGAL, YA SEA POR CONTRATO, RESPONSABILDIAD
ESTRICTA O DE FORMA EXTRACONTRACTUAL INCLUYENDO LANEGLIGENCIA) TAMPOCO DE LA
PÉRDIDA DE GANANCIAS, COOPER LIGHTING TAMPOCO SERÁ RESPONSABLE DES O DAÑOS
QUE SURJAN O ESTÉN CONECTADOS CON ESTOS TÉRMINOS O CON LA FABRICACIÓN, VENTA
, ENTREGA , USO, MANTENIMIENTOM, REPARACIÓN O MODIFICACIÓN DE LOS PRODUCTOS DE
EATON’S COOPER LIGHTING BUSINESS (“EATON’S COOPER LIGHTING”) O DEL SUMINISTRO DE
CUALQUIER PIEZA DE REPUESTO QUE EXCEDA EL PRECIO DE COMPRA DE LOS PRODUCTOS
DE EATON’S COOPER LIGHTING BUSINESS (“EATON’S COOPER LIGHTING”) ORIGINANDO UN
RECLAMO. NO SE ACEPTARÁN CARGOS POR MANO DE OBRA PARA QUITAR O INSTALAR LOS
ACCESORIOS.

Cliente, o por correo electrónico a ConsumerProducts@eaton.com e incluya la siguiente
información:
• Nombre, dirección y número de teléfono
• Fecha y lugar de compra
• Catálogo y cantidad de la compra
• Descripción detallada del problema
Todos los productos devueltos deben estar acompañados por un Número de autorización
de productos devueltos emitido por la compañía y deben devolverse con flete prepagado.
Se rechazará todo producto recibido sin un Número de autorización de productos devueltos
desde la compañía. Eaton’s Cooper Lighting Business (“Eaton’s Cooper Lighting”) no se hace
responsable por la mercancía dañada durante el transporte. Los productos reparados o reemplazados estarán sujetos a los términos de esta garantía y se inspeccionan al ser empacados.
El daño evidente y oculto que se provoque durante el transporte se debe informar de
inmediato al transportista que realiza la entrega y se debe presentar un reclamo.
La reproducción de este documento sin la aprobación previa por escrito de Eaton’s Cooper Lighting Business (“Eaton’s
Cooper Lighting”) está estrictamente prohibida.
