New Instrument Calibration Certification
TX-125 (0-125 grams), TX-1000 (10-1000 grams),
and TX-5000 (50-5000 grams) series of
Digital Tension Meters
New Instrument Model No: TX 5000 Serial No: 409XB
Manufacturer recommends recalibration at minimum one-year intervals unless the instrument has been dropped, damaged or shows signs of wear and tear, etc.
Full-scale accuracy for menu-selectable calibrations is 1%. Note: filaments with diameters larger than .010” or wires with gage numbers smaller than 30 AWG are not capable of indicating accurate tensions down to 10 grams. For these types of materials, minimum tension values are directly proportional to the specific stiffness of the selected material. Accuracy for custom calibrations is material specific. Standard tension resolution for TX-5000 series is 10 grams adjustable down to 5 grams, TX-1000 series 5 grams adjustable down to 1 gram and for TX-125 series 1.0 gram adjustable down to 0.1 gram.
Maximum measurable length is 999.9 meters with a maximum resolution of 0.1 feet. Maximum speed resolution is 1% full-scale for speed-readings from 20 to 2,500 FPM. For best length and speed accuracy calibrate your digital tension meter directly to the material to be tested.
This instrument has been tested by the original equipment manufacturer, Cooper Instruments & Systems, and meets or exceeds stated specifications.
