1 Safety

1.1 Warnings and notes

Warning notes are identified by a signal word and a pictogram:

1.2 Basic requirements for safe working practices

Before using the Battery Charger for the first time, ensure that you have carefully read and understood the operating instructions. Failure to observe the instructions below may result in electric shock, fire and seri ous injuries.

Do not open the Battery Charger.Do not open the Battery Charger or modify it structurally.Operate the Battery Charger in dry, enclosed rooms only.Protect Battery Charger from moisture and rain. Never operate the Battery Charger under unsuitable ambient conditions (e.g. where combustible
gases, solvents, dust, vapors or moisture is present).
Do not operate the Battery Charger if the housing or power plug are damaged.Do not charge batteries without supervising them.Do not use damaged batteries.
Work area
Ensure that there is enough space in the work area.Keep the work area clean and dry.

The CLECO Battery Charger is intended exclusively for charging CLECO lithium ion batteries, order no.
935377.
Do not use it in areas where there is a risk of explosion.

1.4 Items supplied

Check shipment for transit damage and ensure that all items have been supplied: 1 Battery Charger 1 Power cable (EU) 1 Power cable (NA) 1 Operating instructions

1.5 Transport

Transport and store the Battery Charger in the original packaging. The packaging can be recycled.

2 Product description

2.1 General description

Automatic identification of connected battery.
Automatic identification of a charged battery guarantees optimum charging results.
Automatic identification of a defective battery.
Top-off charge phase guarantees the maximum operating time of the battery.
Charging status display.
Overcharge protection.
Wide-range input (100 VAC – 240 VAC) allows the charger to be used worldwide.
Voltage monitor prevents deep discharging and battery short-circuiting.

3 Initial operation

WARNING!
Risk of explosion if other batteries are used
Use only CLECO lithium ion batteries, order no. 935377.
Never use other battery types.
NOTE
The red "Charge" LED must not be illuminated before the battery is plugged in. If necessary, when changing batteries, wait a few seconds until the indicator goes off.
Connect the Battery Charger to the power
supply: The green "Power" LED signals that the power supply is present.
Plug the battery into the Battery Charger,
until the catch securely engage.
Once the battery is plugged in, the red "Charge" LED is illuminated and indicates that
charging is in process. When charging is finished, the Battery Charger automatically shuts off the charging process. The red "Charge" LED goes out.

4 Troubleshooting

Error Cause Measure
The green "Power" LED is not illuminated when the power supply is connected.
The red "Charge" LED is not illuminated when the battery is plugged in.

5 Maintenance

CAUTION!
Clean the Battery Charger only with the power plug unplugged, and only using a dry cloth.
No power supply voltage. ¾ Check and restore the
power supply voltage.
Power cable defective. ¾ Replace power cable.
Battery Charger defective. ¾ Replace the Battery
Charger.
The battery that is plugged in has already been charged (red LED stays off).
The battery contacts are not connected correctly.

6 Service

NOTE
If repair is required, send the complete Battery Charger, to Cooper Power Tools. It may be repaired only by authorized technicians. Opening the charger will void the warranty.
