Charging the headset
Your CoolStream Bluetooth Stereo Headphones use a
rechargeable battery. You must charge the battery fully before
using the BTH-301 for the rst time. Please make sure to turn
off the BTH-301 before charging by sliding the power button
until it shows red.
1. Plug the mini USB connector into the USB charging port on
the BTH-301. Plug the standard USB connector into your
computer or USB power adapter (not included).
2. The indicator light will be red while charging.
3. The usual charging time is between 2-3 hours.
4. The indicator light will turn blue when the battery is fully
charged.
Powering on/off
Turn the headphones on by sliding the Power Switch (9) until
a beep sounds and the indicator light ashes blue.
Turn the headphones off by sliding the Power Switch (9) until
a beep sounds and the indicator light ashes blue twice and
then will switch off.
Pairing your phone via Bluetooth
1. Ensure that the BTS-301 is on by sliding the power switch
to the on position showing green. Pairing is best when
your phone or mobile device is within a few feet from your
headphones.
2. Press and hold the Multi-function button (5) until the
indicator light remains a steady blue.
3. Ensure that your phone’s Bluetooth function is turned on
(go to your settings), and then select the CoolStream
BTH-301 from your phone’s Bluetooth devices.
4. Most smart phones and tablets will automatically pair with
the BTH-301. But if your device requires a pairing code,
enter four zeros (0000), and then press “yes” or “ok”.
IMPORTANT:
• If pairing is successful, the indicator light will ash in blue
10 times rapidly before going to ashing every 3 seconds,
• If pairing is unsuccessful, the indicator light will remains on.
• If the pairing time takes more than 60 seconds, the indicator
light will go out and pairing will need to be done again.
Disconnecting the BTH-301 from your mobile
phone
To disconnect the BTH-301 from your phone, do one of the
following:
• Turn the BTH-301 off, by sliding the power switch until it
shows red.
• Under Bluetooth devices on your phone, disconnect the
BTH-301.
• Move the headphones 33ft or more away from your phone.
Reconnect the paired BTH-301 with the
mobile phone
To reconnect the paired BTH-301 with your phone, do one of
the following.
• Turn the BTH-301 on by sliding the power switch until it
shows green and set up the connection with the Bluetooth
list on your mobile phone.
• Press the Multi-Function button (5) once. (Your phone must
have already been paired with the BTH-301 for automatic
connection.)
Answering a call
When a ringtone sounds, press the Muliti-Function Button (5)
once to answer. Music will be suspended during your call.
Ending a call
Press and release the Muliti-Function Button (5) to end a call
or end the call from your phone. Music will resume when the
call has ended.

Battery Replacement:
The rechargeable battery in the BTH301 should be replaced
only by an authorized service provider.
This symbol on the product or in the instructions means
that your electrical or electric equipment should be properly
disposed at the end of its life separately from your household
waste. There are separate collection systems for recycling
in the USA. For more information, please contact the local
authority.
Limited Warranty
Who is covered:
This warranty is extended only to the original end-use purchaser or the
person receiving the product as a gift, and shall not be extended to any
other person or transferee.
What is covered/For how long:
The warranty period is for 1 year from the date of retail purchase by
the original end-use purchaser. ESE warrants that this product, when
delivered to you in new condition, in original packaging, from an authorized
reseller and used in normal conditions is free from any defects in manufacturing, materials and workmanship.
What is not covered:
This warranty does not cover defects resulting from improper or unreasonable use or maintenance; failure to follow operating instructions; accident;
exposure to excessive moisture; insects; lightning, power surges; connec-
tions to improper voltage supply; unauthorized alteration or modication
of original condition; damages caused by inadequate packing or shipping
procedures; loss of, damage to or corruption of stored data; damages
caused by use with non-ESE or non-CoolStream products; product that
requires modication or adaption to enable it to operate in any country
other than the USA.
Placing a call while listening to music
Press Multi-Function button (5) for about 2 seconds until you
hear a beep. Say the number you desire such as “Call Mom”.
(This feature is not supported by all mobile phones). When
call is completed music will resume.
Answering / rejecting a call when
listening to music
If an incoming call is made while listening to music with the
BTH-301, press the Multi-Function button (5) to answer the
call or press and hold the Multi-Function button (5) for about
2 seconds to reject the call.
Placing a call on hold
During the phone call, press and hold the Multi-function button (5) for 2 seconds to place the call on hold. To resume the
call, press and hold the Multi-function button (5) again for 2
seconds. (This feature is not supported by all mobile phones.)
Redialing previous number
Press and hold the Multi-function button (5) for 2 seconds
until you hear a long beep sound.
Playing music
Press the Multi-function button (5) to play or pause music.
Press the Next Track button (6) to skip to the next track and
the Previous Track button (3) to skip to the previous track.
Volume control
Press and hold the Volume Up button (11) to increase volume,
then release. Press and hold the Volume Down button (10)
to decrease the volume, then release. Volume can also be

Recycling
The BTH-301 must be disposed of properly according to
local laws and regulations. This product contains a lithium ion
battery; the BTH-301 must be disposed of separately from
household waste. When your headphones reach the end of
their life, contact your local authorities to learn about recycling
What we will do:
During the warranty period, we will, at our sole option, repair or replace
(using new or refurbished replacement parts) any defective parts within a
reasonable period of time and free of charge.
What we will not do:
Pay shipping, insurance, or transportation charges from you to us or any
import fees, duties and taxes.
What you must do to obtain Limited Warranty Service:
Return product, with proof of purchase from an authorized CoolStream
seller, using the following procedures:
1. Contact ESE (CoolStream) for specic return and shipping information:
coolstream@exeterse.com.
2. Label and ship the product, freight prepaid, to the address provided
by ESE.
3. Place any necessary return authorization number prominently on the
outside of the carton.
Other Conditions
The provisions of this limited warranty are in lieu of any other warranty,
whether expressed or implied, written or oral, including any warranty of
merchantability or tness for a particular purpose. The maximum liability of
Exeter Science and Entertainment LLC (ESE) shall not exceed the actual
purchase price paid by you for the product. In no event shall ESE be liable
for loss of, damage to or corruption of stored data or for special incidental
consequential or indirect damages howsoever caused including without
limitation the replacement of equipment and property, and any costs of
recovering, programming or reproducing any program or data stored in or
used with your ESE (CoolStream) product. This warranty is void if the label
on the product bearing the serial number has been removed or defaced.
