Thank you for choosing this Cookworks appliance. It has been designed to give years of trouble-free use, provided it is installed and maintained correctly. Please read these instructions carefully before installing or using your appliance. It is advisable to keep your purchase and installation receipts with these instr uctions in a safe place for future reference. Included is some important safety information in addition to guidelines and recommendations that will enable you to take full advantage of all the functions available. This quality appliance has been tested and certified to meet all applicable UK electrical and safety standards. This appliance must be installed and connected in accor dance with current regulations by a qualified electrician.After unpacking the appliance ensur e that there is no visible damage. If the appliance has been damaged during transit, do not use it.
Before us ing the cooker Rem ove any packing and protective film and keep this away from children. Wash
the cooker thoroughl y with clean warm soapy water. The first time you use the cooker
Swi tch on the oven for approximately 15 minutes at a high temperature to burn off any residues from the manufacturing process. After you have carried out this operation to the oven, do the same to the hotplates and then the gri ll. Again, 15 minutes should be adequate.
Guarantee This appliance i s guaranteed for one year from date of purchase. Keep your purchase rec eipt with these instructions. To ful fil the conditions of the guarantee this appliance must have been correctly Ins talled by a qualified person and operated in accordance with these instructions. The appli ance is intended for domestic uses only. If the appliance fails to work properly duri ng the first year period contact the Hel pline. The appliance wil l be repaired (at the manufacturer’s discretion) at no cost to you. If the guarantee has elapsed, you wil l be given a quotation for any repairs or parts required. The oven’s data plate is accessible even when the appliance is installed. The data plateis visi ble by opening the door. SECTION 1: COOKER COMPONENTS
SECTION 2 : INSTALLATION
This appliance must be installed and connected in accordance with current regulations by a qualified electrician.
2.1. INSTALLATION OF OVEN
This appliance can be placed next to or in between built-in kitchen furniture. However, the height of the built-in furnitu re must not exceed the height of the cooker hotplate.
Ensu re that there is a minimum of 2cm clear space behind the cooker to allow for air ci rculation.
You must allow a minimum height of 650mm between the cooker hotplate and any object fitted above, i.e. wall cupboards or a cooker h ood.
2.2. ADJUSTMENT OF FEET

2.3. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
This appliance has been adjusted as appropriate for 220-240 Volts. This appliance must be connected to a 45amp fused cooker circuit. Do not connect via a 13amp socket. Do not use with an extension lead.

SECTION 3: USING THE HOTPLATE
Four individual control knobs situated on the control/fascia panel control the four sealed hotplates. Clear graphics indicate the hotplate that each control knob operates.
Turn the relevant control knob to the required heat setting, setting 1 = Low, settin g 6 = High. Whilst the h otplate is on the red indicator will glow. When you have finished using the hotplate turn the control knob back off which is the ‘0’ setting.
Before u sing your cooker for the first time, we recommend that you turn each hotplate on to setting 3. for approximately 15 minutes, this will burn off any residues from the manufacturin g process.

SECTION 4: USING THE GRILL
The grill is controlled by turning the oven function control knob (far left control) to the grill function setting and then turning the oven thermostat control knob to the desired temperature setting. When you have finished gr illing, turn both control knobs back to the off setting (‘0’).
Before using the grill for the first time we recommend that you turn the grill on for approximately 15 minutes, this will burn off any r esidues from the manufacturing process.
Please note: We reco mmend that you carry out grilling with the oven door closed. The max. setof thermostat must be 190OC
SECTION 5: USING THE OVEN
The oven is controlled by first turning the oven control knob clockwise to the desired setting: the first position provides heat from the top and bottom oven elements, the second position provides heat from the bottom heating element only, the third position p rovides heat from the top heating element only. You must then turn the oven thermostat control knob to the required heat setting. Whilst the oven is on the red indicator will glow.
When you have finished using the oven turn both control knobs off to the ‘0’ setting. Before using your cooker for the first time, we recommend that you turn the oven on
(top & bottom elements) for approximately 15 minutes, this will burn off any residues from the manufacturing process.

SECTION 6: CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always ensure that your cooker is completely cool and switched off at the electricity supply before carrying out cleaning.
Always clean away food and liquid spills from the hotplate as soon as possible – do not allow spills to harden off.
Exterior and interior areas of the cooker should be washed with warm soapy water and/or mild cream detergents.
Use glass cleaner to clean the interior/exterior of the glass door. NEVER USE ABRASIVE DET ERGENTS OR WIRE WOOL TO CLEAN AREA OF
YOUR COOKER. Please note that it is quite normal to get a slight burning smell from the cooker during
the first few operations. This is simply the protective oil film that is used dur ing production to protect the cooker parts.
SECTION 7: SERVICE If the hotplate, grill or oven does not operate, check that the electricity supply switch
to the appliance has not been turned off, or that the circuit fuse has blown or circuit breaker has been tripped.
If the grill or oven does not operate, check that the oven temperature control knob has been set to the desired temperature setting.
