BEFORE FIRST USE
Remove the appliance and all accessories from the packaging.
Place the packaging inside the box and either store or dispose of safely.
Clean all surfaces thoroughly by wiping with a damp sponge or cloth using a mild
detergent.
DO NOT immerse the unit or the jug in water or any other liquids.
DO NOT run water directly onto the cooking surfaces.
Dry the surfaces with a cloth or paper towel.
CAUTION!
THE JUG CONTAINS VERY SHARP BLADES AND SHOULD BE HANDLED WITH CARE AT ALL TIMES.
Stainless steel removable lter:
The lter is for creating two dierent kinds of soup;
The function of the lter is to protect solid ingredients from the blade when blending soup. Any ingredients you would like to remain solid should be placed on the OUTSIDE of the lter. Any ingredients that require blending should be placed INSIDE the lter where they will be in direct contact with the blade. If you would like completely smooth soup with no solid ingredients then you can LEAVE THE FILTER OUT COMPLETELY and all ingredients will be blended together.
Chunky soup- To create a thicker, chunkier soup you must place the solid ingredients-
meat/sh/vegetables outside of the stainless steel lter and into the main area of the plastic jug.
Smooth soup- To create a thinner soup place solid ingredients- meat/sh/vegetables
inside the stainless steel lter. This will expose the ingredients directly to the blade which will blend them into smaller pieces creating a smooth soup.

PROGRAMMES/FUNCTIONS
A. Automatic/ Pre-set- There are
5 of these functions to choose from. Selecting the pre-set cooking option means that the appliance will automatically choose the correct temperature and thickness of the soup for you. This option also allows you to re-heat, boil or blend your ingredients.
P1- Press the menu button once for P1- this programme is for making a thinner soup so
you will also need to ensure that all your ingredients are put inside the Stainless Steel Filter which will blend them to a smaller size.
P2- Press the menu button twice for P2- this programme is for making a thicker soup so
you must place all your ingredients directly into the plastic part of the jug (not inside the Stainless Steel Filter).
Programmes P1 & P2 Can be used to make soup from scratch; simply place all ingredients
into the soup maker and choose a programme.
P3- Re-heat- Press the ‘Menu button three times (the small indicator light will illuminate.
‘P3’ will show in the display window) for the reheating of already cooked soup – press ‘Start/Stop button to start the reheating process.
P4- Blending- Press the menu button four times (the small indicator light will illuminate.
‘P4’ will show in the display window) for the blending of soup or other recipes requiring a blending action- press ‘Start/Stop button to start the blending process.
P5- Boiling- Press the ‘Menu button five times (the small indicator light will illuminate. ‘P5’
will show in the display window) for the boiling of soup – press ‘Start/Stop button to start the boiling process.
B. Manual- This is to create soup from your own recipe; this function allows you to choose
your own temperature, time and thickness. When using this function it is best to follow instructions from the recipe when choosing temperature and time.

TO USE THE AUTOMATIC/PRE-SET COOKING OPTION:
There are five pre-set programmes (see pg.5) that can be used to make smoothies or soup.
First, chop all your ingredients into approximately 2-3cm cubes and add to the soup maker
jug, either within or outside of the Stainless Steel filter (see pg.7).
Only use pre-cooked meats or sh when using the soup maker and do not use any
frozen ingredients. All ingredients must be at room temperature when adding to the soup maker.
Add your preferred liquid or stock to the jug, making sure it is not hot.
Make sure that the total volume of ingredients added is above the minimum line on the
jug.
Also ensure that the total volume of ingredients is not more than 1.2 litres as the internal
sensor near the base of the jug must be covered with liquid.
Note: Under filling the jug will result in the alarm sounding and the unit failing to operate.
Place the lid onto the top of the jug, making sure that you align the lock open symbol on
the lid with the mark on the top of the handle. Once aligned, turn the lid in the direction of the arrows until the lid lock symbol aligns with the lock symbol on the jug handle
Note: For correct positioning, the arrows on the lid and top of the handle must point
TOWARDS EACH OTHER and not in the same direction.
Ensure the measuring cup is fitted to the centre of the lid and locked into position.
When everything is positioned correctly, connect the appliance to the mains power
supply.
When you switch on the appliance at the mains power supply wall socket, you will hear an
audible alarm, indicating that the appliance is on and the display panel will show 8888.
You can now choose your preferred cooking method (see diagram or pg.5 for all options).
Note: The number of the programme that you have selected will show up on the screen
(see diagram).
Note: Only room temperature liquid should be poured into the unit, even when re-
heating. Pouring hot liquid or other ingredients into the appliance may result in a heating malfunction.

TO USE THE MANUAL COOKING FUNCTION
You can set the soup maker to manual which allows you to choose the speed, temperature and cooking time. Follow the steps below if you wish to use this method. Do not press the Start/Stop button until all selections have been made. Manual cooking and Pre-set cooking are separate options and cannot be used together.
Once you have turned the soup maker on you can go into manual mode by following the below instructions:
IMPORTANT- When using the manual function it is recommended that you observe the
instructions from the recipe you are following. This includes temperatures and cooking time.
Once all the options have been selected press the ‘Start/Stop button to begin the cooking
process.
NOTE: Any ingredients can be added during the cooking process by removing the
measuring cup from the centre of the jug lid. Do not unlock the jug lid as this will stop the programme.
To completely stop any of the programmes at any time, press the ‘Start/Stop button.
When the cooking or blending is complete, the appliance will sound an audible alarm
and stop heating. NOTE: If this alarm doesnt sound when the programme should be complete; check the unit. Turn off and unplug from the mains. Check appliance for any signs of fault, if nothing can be found and problem persists then please refer to a qualified repair technician.
Your soup can be poured straight from the jug ready to eat. Take care when removing the
lid from the jug as it will be very hot.
WARNING! Heat and steam will be emitted from the lid when removing from the
appliance. Care must be taken when removing the lid and measuring cup from the centre of the lid.
USING THE DELAY BUTTON
The delay button is a cooking timer. Use this only if you wish to delay the start of your cooking selection, e.g. set the delay button to 7 hours and then set your pre-set or manual programme. The soup maker will then count down from 7 hours, after which time it will begin the cooking programme that you selected.
FURTHER PROGRAMMES
TO USE THE KEEP WARM OPTION
Once your soup is cooked, you may wish to keep it warm until ready to serve. This is
easily achievable. Simply press the ‘Keep Warm/Reheat button. The indicator light will illuminate. Please note, this option will not work until the soup is at 50° Celsius or below in temperature. No blending operation will occur in this mode.
