Retrofit Kit - (Type EA) chassis into existing ES/RS/MQT wall sleeve.
This instruction covers the following retrofit kit part numbers:

1. Remove & discard the existing ES/RS/MQT cabinet front
panel, filter, and chassis.
2. Remove the two (2) 5" x 5" grilles next to ES/RS/MQT
control door and replace them with the two (2) blank
grilles provided.
3. Locate the new blank-off plate where the filter was
previously located. Secure in place with the three (3)
tinnerman clips and two (2) #6 screws/tinnerman nuts
provided, figure 1.
4. Clean the right hand top metal flange of the new Type EA
chassis discharge and attach the adhesive-backed foam
seal, (figure 2). It will seal to the under side of the cabinet
discharge grilles to prevent recirculation of conditioned
air within the cabinet.
5. Remove the shipping brackets from both blower wheels.
6. Slide the new Type EA chassis into the existing ES/RS/
MQT wall sleeve using pressure to seal it against the
internal gasketing.

7. Plug the Type EA chassis power cord into the existing
receptacle. Make sure the supply voltage and circuit
breaker match the requirements of the Type EA chassis
data plate. Note: it may be necessary to rotate the power
receptacle 180° from its original mounting to match the
new plug orientation.
8. Clean two areas on front of Type EA Chassis where self
sticking door stops will be placed, (figure 2). Position and
stick door stops as shown in figure 2, making sure the right
hand stop does not interfere with the filter on cabinet front
panel.
9. Install the new filter provided, into the new cabinet front
panel.
10.Insert the new cabinet front panel tabs into the slots of the
blank-off plate (installed in step 3). Close the front panel
at the top using enough pressure to make it latch. Use the
two black screws provided to further secure the upper
corners of the cabinet front panel to the sleeve.
11.For additional information about the Type EA chassis,
refer to Installation Manual IM 371 provided with the
Type EA Chassis.
12.Important: Future Replacement Chassis orders will
require Replacement Gasket Kit #0106231301, Qty. (1).
