CLEARING THE DISPLAY TO ZERO
Press CLEAR button to reset display to zero. In Timing mode CLEAR
operates only if the timer is stopped. If the unit is timing, press START/STOP
button to stop the timer before clearing display.
CLOCK SETTING
1. Press and hold CLOCK button for 3 seconds. Bottom left cursor blinks.
2. Press AM-PM button to select the proper setting.
3. Enter correct time (all six digits) using 0–9 buttons. Example: If time is
4:46:18, press 0, 4, 4, 6, 1, 8. Clock is set once the last digit is entered.
If an incorrect time is entered, press CLEAR button to clear the display.
4. Choose AM/PM or military time by pressing 12HR-24HR button located on
back of unit.
COUNT-UP TIMING
1. Press COUNT-UP button (COUNT-UP appears on display).
2. Press START/STOP button to begin count up.
3. Press START/STOP button again to stop count up (see Time-Out
section).
4. With count up stopped, press CLEAR button to return the display to
0:00:00.
COUNTDOWN TIMING
1. Press TIMER button (TIMER appears on display).
2. If necessary, CLEAR the display.
3. Enter desired countdown time using buttons 0–9.
4. Press START/STOP button to begin countdown.
5. Press START/STOP button again to stop timing (see Time-Out section).
6. When timer reaches 0:00:00, it alarms, the display flashes and begins
counting up to track elapsed time since alarming.
7. When the alarm sounds, pressing the START/STOP button silences the
alarm, stops the count up, and returns the display to the previously
programmed time. (Must be in Timer mode to halt count up and to return
display to the preset time.) NOTE: Alarm sounds for 1 minute then stops
automatically unless turned off manually. The count up continues until
turned off.
TIME-OUT
If a pause in the countdown or count-up timing operation is required, press
the start/stop button to “freeze” the display at the current reading (time-out).
To resume timing at the point it was stopped, press the start/stop button
again. An unlimited number of time-outs may be performed.

ALL OPERATIONAL DIFFICULTIES
If this timer does not function properly for any reason, please replace the
battery with a new high quality battery (see Battery Replacement section).
Low battery power can occasionally cause any number of “apparent”
operational difficulties. Replacing the battery with a new fresh battery will
solve most difficulties.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
A faint display, incorrect display, erratic display or no display are all
indicators that the battery must be replaced. On back of unit, slide open the
battery cover. Remove the exhausted battery and replace with a new AAA
alkaline battery. For proper placement, see drawing located inside battery
compartment. Replace battery cover. Equivalent replacement battery:
