CONTROLS
A. MODE Button – Each press of MODE button displays modes in the following
sequence: Clock, Stopwatch, Alarm Setting and Time Setting.
B. START/STOP Button – has the following functions in each of the modes listed
below:
1. Clock mode - switches display from time of day to date
2. Stopwatch mode – starts and stops timer
3. Alarm Setting mode – advances day, hour and minute
4. Time Setting mode – advances day, hour and minute
C. RESET, LAP/SPLIT Button – has the following functions in each of the modes
listed below:
1. Clock mode: switches display from time of day to alarm time
2. Stopwatch mode – resets the timer to zero, stops and starts time-in/time-out and
lap/split timing.
3. Alarm Setting mode – selects hour or minute display to set alarm time
4. Time Setting mode – advances through display for time and date settings
D. MODE – same functions as “A” button above. Location at lower right side of unit
for ease of operation.

OPERATION
Clock Operation
A. Entering Timing Modes
1. To enter and change timing modes: Scroll through the modes by pressing
MODE repeatedly.
2. Mode Sequence: When scrolling, the modes appear in the following sequence:
Clock, Stopwatch, Alarm Setting, and Time Setting.
B. Setting Time-of-Day and Date
1. Set the display to clock mode.
2. Press MODE repeatedly until the seconds start to flash.
3. Set seconds to zero by pressing START/STOP. At this point, pressing RESET
repeatedly scrolls through a pre-programmed sequence for setting, in the
following order: Seconds, minutes, hours, day, month and day of week.
4. Set minutes by pressing RESET until minutes begin flashing, then press
START/STOP to advance minutes. Press and hold START/STOP for quick
advance.
5. Set hours by pressing RESET repeatedly until hours begin flashing, then press
START/STOP to advance hours. Press and hold START/STOP for quick
advance. Pressing START/STOP repeatedly causes the hours to advance in a
pre-programmed sequence of A.M/P.M., and 24 hour (military) time, denoted by
“A”, “P”, or “H” on the display. Advance hours until the desired format is
achieved.
6. Set month and day by pressing RESET until month and day appear and day
begins flashing, then press START/STOP to advance day. Press and hold
START/STOP for quick advance.
7. Set the month by pressing RESET until month begins flashing, then press
START/STOP to advance the month. Press and hold START/STOP for quick
advance.
8. Set the week day by pressing RESET until the bar at the top of the display
flashes, then press START/STOP to position the flashing bar under the correct
day. Press and hold START/STOP for quick advance.
9. Press MODE to return to normal time.
10. Press and hold START/STOP to view current date.
C. Alarm Operations
1. To set the alarm time:
a. Press MODE until hours begin flashing, then press START/STOP to advance
hours. Press and hold START/STOP for quick advance.
b. To set minutes, press RESET until minutes begin flashing then press
START/STOP to advance minutes. Press and hold START/STOP for quick
advance.
c. The alarm time should now be set. Press MODE to return to normal time
display.
2. To view alarm time:
a. Return the display to clock mode.
b. Press and hold RESET.
3. To remove alarm time:
a. Return the display to clock mode.
b. Press RESET and START/STOP together to switch the alarm function on
and off. The alarm icon in the upper right corner illuminates to indicate the

Stopwatch Operation
A. Single-Action Timing
1. Press MODE to enter stopwatch mode. This mode is indicated by a display of

B. Continuous Timing
If the timer reaches its maximum upper limit, it will roll over to zero and continue
counting up.
C. Time-in/Time-out Timing
If a pause in the timing operation is required press the START/STOP button to “freeze”
the display at the current reading (time-out). To resume time at the point it was
stopped press the START/STOP button again. An unlimited number of timeouts may
be taken.
D Lap/Split Timing
Lap/Split timing freezes the display for partial event times while the internal clock
continues to run.

If this unit does not function properly for any reason, replace the battery with a new
high-quality battery (see Battery Replacement section). Low battery power can
occasionally cause any number of “apparent” operational difficulties. Replacing the
battery with a new fresh battery will solve most difficulties.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
Erratic readings, a faint display, no display or a flashing display are all indicators that
the battery must be replaced. To replace the battery, remove the screws on the back
of the unit. Remove the back cover, taking care to avoid dislodging parts inside.
Unscrew and remove the battery cover. Replace the exhausted battery with a new 3
volt lithium battery. Replace the battery cover. Replace the back cover, replace the
screws and tighten securely. Replacement battery Cat. No. 1005.
Warranty, Service, or Recalibration
For warranty, service, or recalibration, contact:
