Replacement Battery
ALL OPERATIONAL DIFFICULTIES
If this unit does not function properly for any reason, replace the
battery with a new high-quality battery (see “Battery Replacement”
section). Low battery power can occasionally cause any number of
“apparent” operational difficulties. Replacing the battery with a new
fresh battery will solve most difficulties.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
Erratic readings, a faint display, or no display are all indications that
the battery must be replaced. Remove the screw located on the
pocket clip on the back of the unit. Remove the back of the unit. The
battery is held in place sideways at the top of the pen. Remove the
exhausted battery and replace it with a new #392 size Silver Oxide
battery. Make certain to insert the battery with proper polarity as
indicated by the illustration in the battery compartment. Replace the
back of the unit. Replace the screw and tighten securely.
